Source from a former schoolmate who used to play for Leeds (Tom cairney) now at hull reckons he's spoke to Aidy white as he knows him from the academy days and that Aidy will not be sold but leeds are looking to clear out a minimum of 3 players by the end of next week

Corey-lufc

1.) I can certainly believe they would want to get 3 players out.
I'd shift Pugh, Norris and Brown.
Pugh to bring a small fee, Norris probably free. Although no one would want Brown so might be difficult

2.) For gods sake, if you're going to play aidy white in an attacking role which he has been recently i'd rather just release him on a free he's an absolutely liability.

Potential as a good left back definately but anything else if they get the opportunity to sell please do.

He has no end product in the final third whatsoever and wonder when a manager will realise this.

3.) Get of aidys back will you the lad clearly has ability and under mcdermott I've no doubt he will flourish

4.) Nothing wrong with david norris would be worth keeping him a lot of fans seem to have short memory when it comes to what manager all these players had to play under hoof ball warnock

5.) Aidy White is an average to fair player. What was his highlight last seaosn? He scored against Everton. That is all. Just because he can score once against a Premier League team on the day, it makes him massively talented? The guy can run, but that's all. I'd love to see him prove me wrong, but i'm not wrong. Sorry if you disagree, but that's the way it is. Someone wants him? Sell him.

6.) 3 - are you joking? Need to clear out most of last season's team

7.) 23 Jul 2013 18:53:04
Personally I'd get rid of white myself but that's what he's told my friend. I'd also get rid of Austin (terrible statistics over a season for a midfielder) sell white to derby I they offer 500k or more. Who would you all buy with the funds?

Went to the game today and I must say that our midfielders were shocking. In recent weeks we have played well as a team and deserved to be in the position we are in but today was just a wasted journey. Austin is not a leader nor a captain, yes he gets stuck in but his awareness and capabilities on the ball are not upto the standards of any quality centre midfielder in this league. Barnsley were first to every ball today and had much more desire and I guess they are our bogey team so in conclusion just a day to forget. I'd take 4 points from our next 2 games all day long and I'm sure any realist would. Not guna be too down as our form upto now has been good and the formation works really well for us a team so fingers crossed playoffs 2014 here we come.

Corey-lufc

1.) Bit drastic mate.

2.) A point from a bad performance is good. Don't go slagging off players for one bad performance.

3.) And we move up one place!

4.) 21 Dec 2013 23:24:44
I think an odd bad performance is acceptable especially when we keep a clean sheet and move up a place. Austin has been and is one of our best players who had an off day. Let's keep this in perspective.

5.) 22 Dec 2013 00:38:13
I'm not slagging any players off for one bad performance but it's a player as a whole, he clearly isn't a technically gifted footballer or a leader.

6.) 22 Dec 2013 00:50:51
Keep this in perspective scoops? Are you real? Firstly we was lucky to get a point, we played bottom of the league at home in front of 31,000 and the best player on the pitch was a 31 year old central midfielder who's spent most of his career in non-league football and our captain makes him look like a world beater.

7.) 22 Dec 2013 07:43:33
Austin is more of a bully player. Exactly the type of player we need in the midfield . He needs to shoot less maybe from 20 yards out at most . 1 thing he needs to do is practice his short passing which I think he has too heavy a touch . He's good at long passing though. For me Austin just needs to concentrate on clearing up in front of defence and have mowatt furthest midfielder forward .for me I would give zaliukas the captain dutys but that might have to wait until the new season . Wouldn't want to upset anyone.

The difference of opinion here is about glass half full and glass half empty. In my opinion this was a useful point, a good clean sheet and an extra place gained in the table. We would have lost this game last year. It was not about playing bottom of the league, it was about a local derby when the form book always goes out of the window, it was about new manager syndrome, bogey team syndrome call it whatever. Obviously we should have won but these games happen and I think there are positives to be drawn from it. We could easily have scored 4 or 5 and on another day we probably would but we just need to accept it and move on and not overreact in the same way we shouldn't overreact if we beat Blackpool 5-0.

Why are people talking so much nonesense about players been such class in the squad? We're in the championship and not one premier league club has made a bid or enquired about any of our players just paper talk and possibly interest. We need to get real, we aren't going up and aren't reaching the play offs. Qpr and Wigan are beating premiership sides to the signing of players, could we do that? NO. We're not an appealing club to any quality player.

Corey-lufc

1.) 17 Aug 2013 21:35:52
Sure we beat west ham to sign warnock

2.) Wigan and qpr have good financial backing nevermind the windfall payments they can attract prem players cus they can pay the wages simple as that

3.) And further to that no clubs in the championship are attractive to quality players obv everyone wants to play in the prem, u can only try

4.) 18 Aug 2013 22:28:52
We beat west ham to warnock because of the length contract we was offering, and if you look at the financial Backing of Wigan and qpr or look on their forums they state that they also need to sell to bring in.

Haha proven in the premiership? Don't talk absolute pony!! He's not even proven at championship level, spent most of the season on the bench at west ham and was a stand out player in a terrible Barnsley side that weren't even in the top half whilst he played for them. Talk sense people seriously!

Vaz te is a complete donkey! Played well against us at Barnsley and that is it! He scored a jammy goal for west ham in the play off final and that's it. Best wide player in the league? Give me a break!

Exactly! And with Micah Richards discussing his future this week regarding rotational squad, I don't think for a second this is true as why would he even want to sign for a club where he's going to be third choice right back? And it's not asif Richards is coming to the end of his career.

Good posts about the defence, all working well together in a formation which seems to suit all, including peltier who has also took some stick in the past but is playing very well aswell. And the post about browny aswell is good to see as he is a true gentlemen, he's in business with my friend and always gives him 5 tickets for his box and 5 passes for the players lounge and whoever gets the chance to go in their will agree that he is a sound guy! Especially with young lads who are meeting their idols. Very warm welcoming guy. MOT

Of course I know Leighton baines is Scouse iv met him twice at miles kane concerts (his best mate). Do you really think that if poland took their chances in the first half with all the counter attack football you'd be singing about baines as much? I doubt it. Yes he is magnificent at picking a cross out but we will be punished by teams in the World Cup if we play too far forward. So be realistic mate and stop talking garbage

It's a hard one as bowyer, bakke, smith, Kewell and viduka were all quality players during the champions league era for us and they all played together so well but if I had to choose it would be viduka. Especially the goal at highbury to keep us up. I was only like 10 and I remember it like it was yesterday, I was that overwhelmed I punched the carpet floor and broke my index finger ha!
