Most games that we play, the stats come up about our record against the opposition, and its usually not very healthy in the favour of Leeds!! Usually we haven't beat them since nineteen dot!! we have quite a few bogy teams as the term goes!! This is an indication of how far we have slipped down the football pecking order! The reasons why are well documented! Without a Man City type takeover and investment the return is not going to be overnight! We are where we are with MC and we are going to have to give Redders and his young team time! None of us like it, I know! but we have to face reality! The footings are being put in place for the build ahead!! MOT

Great post KJC, the problem will be I fear Redders will not be given time to stabilize the club. MC needs to change his whole outlook on running the club & allow the people he employs to run the football side of things to do their job without the interference we have seen so far from MC. He is obviously a very astute businessman, & is exactly what our club needs, however to change coach every 6 weeks will never work, he also needs to let whoever he employs as first tem coach to sign their own players.

Hock was a terrible appt and I believe MC must have taken bad advice from someone. Results meant he had to go.
Dark Destroyer credentials were good and honest. it must have been a close call between NR and DM. But DM also walked in on the back of a great run (under NR(. To not then win in six games as a new manager meant MC had to stick or twist. He twisted as clearly DM changed the tactics and was too negative also.
I don't think MC has got either sacking wrong but hopefully has made a sensible decision this time, and will give Redders time. A better display against Cardiff and even better agianst Charlotn but need some luck. Keep the faith. MOT

I do think Redders will be given more time. And this idea that managers at every other club always sign their own players is maybe not 100% accurate. I'm sure owners who have pumped billions into a club like to stick their tuppence worth in every now and again. And a manager or coach can only recommend players to an owner and see if the owner will stump up the cash to buy em. I think this insistence on a manager over a coach is overrated. If a coach trains the team, chooses the team, and can recommend players he wants to bring in, I don't really see any problem. I actually think he's likely to know the payers better than a manager would

{Ed001's Note - Spurs managers don't sign the players, they have a man called Baldini who deals with the transfers. In recent years their managers have often been presented with players they have expressly asked not to be bought. Yeah not sure that is a soothing thought or not, considering how they have underperformed. Another example is Pardew at Newcastle, he doesn't pick their signings either.}

It will never work if the owner decides what players we buy.MC clearly said on ssn the coach will have very little influence on who we buy MC said will decide which players we buy & too let the coach/ manager to decide who we buy is his not way of working, it is probably for this reason MC has sacked so many coaches in the last 22 years in his eyes they are the right players & they are being coached wrong". it will never work, the man in charge of the players must have some say in the players he wants. ED maybe it is for that reason Spurs do not quite live up to the promise everyone has in them if somebody else decides what players they buy.

{Ed001's Note - exactly my point mate.}

I agree I feel the manager/coach should be in charge of all first team matters including the players signed and sold. However while certainly not sure I do believe many teams on the continent operate this way with great success. Be interesting to see if they do operate this way and if so why it seems to work better aboard than it does here?
