A tweak in formation was all that was needed. what wasn't I worried about. always trust a monk!

As I said before the start, it was an odd formation change. Maybe Monk just wanted to test out a plan B? If it ain't broke, don't fix it as far as I'm concerned, 4-2-3-1 suits the style and players we have and long may that last.

Agreed, suppose of all the matches to try something new then on paper this was the one to use. Just pleased that we now have a manager who can see things don't work and then makes positive changes with a positive outcome.

I just think Monk sensed blood and had a team full of in form attackers to choose from. Monk had selection headache as he wanted to give Hernandez and Wood more game time too. Sign of a top manager is taking risks and admitting when you get it wrong. Took the risk and 45 mins later admitted his mistake. 90 mins later - 3-0 MOT!
