not posting to start rows but wondering where people sit on Darko now? did he still deserve more time or was it right to get rid? How much time is enough and when does the rip cord need to be pulled? For me managers should be given time but I saw problems in Wednesday game that were worse against rotherham and still apply today. Patterns of play and game plan can not be fixed in time. I am glad redders has job and think he will be the one to turn it round again. May all of our future coaches have the right qualities then hopefully they will be given time, no football is able to stand still let alone go backwards. What do others think? Good to be back I did miss you all and missed this site, hope you missed me too?

I believe after 6 games and not winning 9/10 managers warrant a sacking. I think cellinos approach could actually be a good think because if your ambitious but looking to do it a "cheap" way (managerially) you don't wanna stick around with something that's not working eg Hockaday, Milanic, McDermott.

A leopard does not change it's spots. Milanic was regarded as a defensive minded coach before he came and none of the games I saw with him in charge convinced me that his style was going to change. Plan A was to try to win one nil, no plan B, C or D. Good to have you back BW

I must admit I have read over your posts and while I found them entertaining and quite often very insightful I did not agree one bit. You seem far too keen to call for someone's head and I would not enjoy you being my boss however maybe you did see things that I did not. It would seem time has a way of making you right young man. I just hope you do not call for Mr Redfern's head as that will probably mean he is doing a rather poor job as your judgement seems rather impeccable. You state you never called for Mr Warnock's, Grayson's and McD's head can I ask why? I would like to know what differences you saw?

Got to agree with BW Milanic had to go too negative and not up to the challenge, you win this league by attacking, and when the coach starts picking players that shown a lack of commitment in the past its a backwards step. Hope Redders rotates the players a bit still say you can't keep playing Cook and Mowatt three times a week for the rest of the season. Watched U21 games and Monty has done everything asked of him so can't understand why Morrison was ahead of him. Think we need to blood Cooper more as Pearce is not quick enough when Bellusci is pushing up. Byram also should have been playing today as he was getting better in his last couple of games. Wishing Redders every success he deserves his chance just hope its not too early, but we have a good team if they are allowed to play. MOT

Thanks really feeling the love. What worried me most was in the games I saw under darko we had most of the ball showed nice touches but did very little when we should of killed games off and we kept dropping points to 'weaker teams' I know I called for head early but I didn't see any change or improvment over the games, it is ok to make mistakes but not ok to learn from them. OAP for me grayson did great under circumstances and McD did ok not great but maybe didn't deserve sack (although apprently he lost dressing room so had to go). Warnock did very well with team and budget and did well not to get us religgated IMO. Shame warnock left as I think his record showed he might of took us up. but all if's and's and maybe's I guess. Think redders will do better. Also A judge amoungts us. I would like to say now for the record not guilty your 'onour I wasnt there at the time and can provide an ailiby

Did he deserve to get the sack! The answer is it's a results based business and his results and performances were poor.
I feel for our next coach, I mean who's going to want a job where if you lose 4 or 5 games your sacked???

Well I was one that said Darko should have been given longer, but I was getting dismayed at his tactics and substitutions. I just could never see how we were going to score enough goals to win many games, and I keep bleating on about shots on target per game - it was like 2-4-3-0-3 etc. In this league that's never going to be enough, and you were right BW about style of play. It is better than it's been for years, but that's no consolation if we don't get any points

yes I would of played sam and Warnock at least sam got pace when going forward and gives wide option pearce dodgy adryan played ok got better as game went on and as for ref never saw all the shirt pulling
