Reports from some Derby fans saying Johnson is going Leeds bound. Tbh I think they're just unhappy with him after the game the other day and wanted him linked away asap.
Little do they know our owner would be able to pay his wages let alone £2mill
Seriously doubting any quality to be brought in before end of window now.

No more Johnsons from Derby thank you.

2.) 10 Aug 2016 10:44:06
He's far to good to join leeds.

Heard a bid accepted for agard. Waiting on more info. Cumon massimo you beauty! MOT!

NorthernladMOT

1.) Yes, just read the report, would be another very good signing, at last we have the makings of a squad to be proud of, first eleven is looking as strong as it has for yonks, be great to shut all the moaners up for a bit as well, great work Cellino, when the team gels can see us doing some damage in this league, c'mon ye whites,

2.) Yes, massimmo is doing thhe buisness. let's all get on the leeds united jugernaut, here we go with massimmo

3.) Rhino, more chance GFH giving the money back than shutting the moaners up,! They will moan that we are not ready to go up that MC hasn't brought t/a e/road the peacock the chippy the billboards around e/ road too much rain too much sun you get it! even Jesus got god got a day off . in MC we trust and SAY A MASSIVE THANK YOU, FOR AT LEAST GIVING US FANS SOME HOPE FOR OUR ONCE GREAT CLUB, the players we are signing actually are coming to us to play in our wonderful ground (soon to be ours again)and mostly THE FAMOUS FANS THAT WE ARE so let's start ALL PULLING the same way make e/r the fortress it can be again and drag our boys to win when things are not going their way not jump on backs at 1st moment
LEEDS for life
MOT

4.) Turns out nothing's been agreed at all. It's fine when you wait then it gets done but when you wait, you get told it's happened, then you find out it's not done, that make you feel like crap. Anyway I'm not that down I'm just hoping I wake up tomorrow and find out we have actually had a bid accepted :) cumon please do this Cellini MOT

5.) Just hope with all these new signings the fans give them time to gel a bit, with a bit of time and patience I really think we're shaping up to be a quite a dangerous looking team. Don't get me wrong I know most of us don't expect miracles straight away but I just hope that the boo boys don't get straight on the players backs if it doesn't go to plan for a little while

6.) 14 Aug 2014 22:06:36
Evans is just trying to up the price by suggesting to other clubs they still have a chance.

7.) Massimo is delivering and in it for the long haul, we have finally got some investment in the playing squad, we just need to give them time to gel and gradually improve. Hopefully Hockaday will learn the lesson and stop picking Hunt, Wooton, Austin in the starting 11 now we have better players joining the squad. Agard, Sharp, Smith and Doukara give us real striking options and depth - hope we get Agard! Massimo has done his bit now it's down to the coach and players. As for the fans we need to get behind the team and make ER a fortresses again.

8.) Evans has said this morning there has been no offers or contact from leeds

9.) I agree with you all that MC is making some great signings and that they need some weeks to gel together, but my one worry is the very first signing he made - the manager, I just don't think he's the man to gel these players together, hope I'm wrong but can't help thinking that if these players had a name they knew and could respect, like a Hoddle, or Ranieri or Zola, then they would put that extra effort in for him, instead they have a ready made excuse to under perform.

10.) Don't think it's done as yet, but I think it will happen Agard has been heard saying his a Leeds fan .
M C could be working his magic and offloading a player or two as part of the deal .
I hope fans give the team a bit of time and get behind them, hope Sharp starts Sat, and no Hunt .

11.) The first signing wasn't a manager - it was a coach. The manager is Massimo himself.

Hope we get bridcutt. Taking far too long though I'm beginning to doubt it even happening. Think we need bridcutt and a quality CB. I think we do have quality in the group they just played shockingly today.

I think Bartley, sacko, vieira, antonnson and coyle had good games considering- (shame about last minute with coyle but he's young) .

roofe is more of an attacking wide player/ winger than a wide midfielder as he played today. I believe he'd be better suited in a 433 or a formation with 2 strikers.

Grimes should never play before Mowatt as they're the same type of player and Mowatt seems miles better.
Also Bamba is a accident waiting to happen but we're going to have to put up with it.
Still think we can have a decent go for 6th if we sign bridcutt and maybe one other along with Hernandez and the other signings living up to expectations.
Can't get much worst than today at least. Well maybe :/.

Think we need a good few players still even if we get hernandez. I think when considering promotion whatever quality you think you need, you need to then double it, then think promotion. Because look at Derby for example. A team far better on paper to us and still lacking that last bit to get out of the league. I'm afraid to say that I don't think we will get out this league unless we spend big and sign 3-4 top quality players for the league in a transfer window. Because if we finish midtable again our best players will leave as we have all seen before season after season.
For me we need a holding midfielder, a CB and another player with that spark to make something happen.
Hernandez might be the spark but you need a couple players that do it if it's promotion you want.

NorthernladMOT

1.) 01 Aug 2016 22:20:09
You're half right imo. Proper management and coaching works too.

2.) 01 Aug 2016 23:16:07
They're magic ya knoooow Dallas Hernandez Sackoo.

3.) 01 Aug 2016 23:30:45
Northernlad you could also say take Leicester City a team who on paper should be struggling to stay in the premier league actually winning it. It's not about teams on paper.

4.) 02 Aug 2016 01:21:22
I suppose your right. But that's exactly the reason why the Leicester city story is so unbelievable. It's not going to happen to us. The last team I remember really being a surprising promotion team was palace when they finish bottom of the table the season before.
Management can make a big difference, but you need a really good team to escape this league with any certainty.

5.) 02 Aug 2016 14:24:20
There are always surprises in football the great team collapse the smaller team doing well that's why we love it.

26 Jan 2016 23:45:39
You guys think adebayours arrival at palace could make room for Gayle to go? Worth a shot now, could work well running off Wood upfront?

NorthernladMOT

1.) 27 Jan 2016 01:20:26
Dont think wood will be running for a bit.

Gayle has good feet and pace and can be class when on form. definitly worth a crack.

Mot.

2.) 27 Jan 2016 17:14:52
Any of the crystal palace strikers are worth a shot, they only have 1 league goal between them.

18 Jan 2016 21:41:11
Does the fact we seem to be desperately trying to sign lafferty signal to anyone else that we really aren't looking seriously to get promotion out of the league.
He's the best we can get? Really?
Might prove me wrong but proven quality is what we need. Not someone to take a chance on.
It'll cost more but there's a reason quality costs!

I know Silvestri made some absolute howlers on Saturday and he does quite a bit. But he also does keep us in lots of matches. I think he's a great keeper for this level and he's only 24. 24 is much younger than first thought for a goalie and he can only get better with experience like them mistakes. Obviously Saturday's result was almost all down to his performance. But I don't think we should call for him to leave. Maybe a better 2nd keeper to keep the pressure on. But he definitely shouldn't be sold.

NorthernladMOT

1.) 17 Jan 2016 18:55:34
Need a good goalie coach or someone who can challenge for his place and sit him on the bench for a couple. Very good goalie but obviously not being coached right or is too complacent.

2.) 17 Jan 2016 18:57:55
Silvestre has improved of late and is a good shot stopper however if he was commanding of his box he may reduce the amount of saved he has to make. The defense needs to be stronger but a quality keeper is a supporting factor in this. Don't disagree he can improve and suggest he already has but he definately needs pressure from a good number 2.

3.) 17 Jan 2016 21:01:03
Dont think he is good enough really. Too many mistakes. Granted he makes good saves but let's be honest all goalies do at Championship level. His all round game is not good enough. Kicking, catching and commanding the area are all poor. The best goalkeeping coach in the world cannot improve this geezer to a standard that is needed.

4.) 17 Jan 2016 21:48:53
I agree. Waaaay to dodgy a goalkeeper. He needs time to mature behind a solid number one.

Look at the previous gk's we've had over the past years.

Martyn, Robinson, Sullivan, ankergen, kasper.

Can you really compare Silvestre to any of these (other than the 2 whilst we were in league 1 to which I would say he is on par at best) ?

Surely we need to be moving forward and to have a goalkeeper that commands from the back and the defence the rest of the team has full confidence is is imperative.

5.) 17 Jan 2016 21:55:36
(Silvestri) - not that useless French bloke who played for .

At least there will be some threat from our team. Even though it might only be a threat to the other teams legs haha

Let's just hope that if we don't make playoffs he doesn't bails and leave us paying someone stupid money or something like that. Like he goes all out knowing he doesn't have to deal with the consequences.

I know he's cocked quite a lot up since coming to our beloved club but don't forget he is a billionaire business man. He might not have a clue about English football but he knows his way around money and finance.
Wasn't it reported that he dragged us out of another financial crisis when GFH were at the Reign?
He's not done much for the club on the pitch but we got to be greatfull for saving us from that off it.

I believe after 6 games and not winning 9/10 managers warrant a sacking. I think cellinos approach could actually be a good think because if your ambitious but looking to do it a "cheap" way (managerially) you don't wanna stick around with something that's not working eg Hockaday, Milanic, McDermott.
