Have to say we can't continue to play this way. Teams know exactly what we are doing and it's only a matter of time before we come undone. NOT

1.) 18 Mar 2017 20:49:55
Oh wex your better than that. aren't you? We clearly up our game today!

2.) 20 Mar 2017 10:38:36
Sorry but if a team as good as Brighton can't work us out then we can win anyone in this division.

25 Feb 2017 21:11:54
How's this for a scenario - pontus suspension for bookings Cooper comes in and we don't concede a goal for the rest of the season and Cooper becomes a legend?

1.) 26 Feb 2017 11:39:08
How about this- Pontus gets banned, cooper get injured, bartely get injured, monk recalls bellusci and brings on Wooten for the rest of the season But still think cooper is a good player but more of a squad player

2.) 26 Feb 2017 18:52:10
How about this. Pontus, Bartley, ayling and beradi all get injured and coops plays the back. line by his self and we done concede another goal this season. He even swaps with green and saves a couple of penalties along the way. What a legend.

3.) 26 Feb 2017 19:02:39
Sounds feasible

4.) 26 Feb 2017 19:39:04
There's a fine line between legendary and infamous

5.) 27 Feb 2017 21:07:04
Cooper is awesome! Can't believe he is going to save our season! Go Coops! Wait. is this real or make believe? Do any of you own a Delorean?

01 Feb 2017 22:05:51
Never say die mentality will be difference between us going up automatically and the playoffs and we have this in abundance .17 is a magic number

14 Jan 2017 20:17:43
Radzer says return of Elland rd is on his list of things to do. Music to my ears

1.) 14 Jan 2017 23:10:34
Serious question here. Is it not cheaper and easier to buy new land And build a new purpose built modern stadium ready for the next chapter in our history?

2.) 15 Jan 2017 00:44:24
Not Really Curahee, and it would be a damned sight more expensive. When Cellino joined I think it got thrown around that it would cost £12m to buy back ER (happy to be corrected on that if someone knows the exact figure) . Brightons Amex stadium (30,000 cap) cost them north of £100m and it cost Man City around £250m (55,000 cap) . If we just replaced with similar to what we have its going to be £175m ish. If we buy back the stadium it would be more cost effective to knock down a stand every off season and rebuild something more modern I would wager.

3.) 15 Jan 2017 09:23:35
That was the original plan to rebuild ER. The plan was replicate the then new east stand around the ground. Which would leave the capacity around the 65,000 to 70,000 mark!

4.) 15 Jan 2017 11:52:51
Good post Gummie, think ER was sold for 8 Mil during our financial meltdown, I believe the new owner Teak commercial Ltd based off shore in the British Virgin Islands has a buy back clause for 15 Mil, there is lots of speculation as to who is behind it, a certain Smurf is rumoured to be involved (allegedly) 😀 we would probably be better off following Liverpools example and redeveloping Elland Road, stand by stand. Certainly enough space to build 50-60,000 seater like you say would be more cost effective

5.) 15 Jan 2017 12:10:03
Thanks, that's fair enough. Didn't realise that stadiums were that expensive to be fair! As soon as I the work needs to start in Ernest though, as they will soon be handing out hard hats at the turnstiles for some of the stands!

6.) 15 Jan 2017 12:12:46
And m, I thought the original plan (post melt down days) was to build a new massive stadium nearer the motorway! Just think how may tropical fish we could have fit it that! 🐠🐠🐠

7.) 15 Jan 2017 16:03:05
Curahee the original plan also included a basket ball and ice hockey stadium built in the old training pitches. hence the building of TA well that was the reasoning behind it if I remember rightly? And regarding nearer the motorway hiw close do you want it?

8.) 15 Jan 2017 16:19:02
I had it in my head that it was further away.

9.) 15 Jan 2017 16:23:59
And m, just found this article (Leeds plan move to £40m stadium). This is what I was thinking of.

10.) 15 Jan 2017 17:35:56
Cura, the new stadium was going to be built near the sewage works in cross green industrial estateand it was nick named smelland road. I used to work down their at the time and on a warm day it absolutely stunk of 💩

11.) 15 Jan 2017 17:58:54
Fair enough Lucas, thanks. I'm not from Leeds, so don't know the area particularly well, but I knew there was old plan for moving away from elland road.

12.) 15 Jan 2017 19:06:53
Sadly its not as simple as buying back ER and starting again there are planning constraints in place on the current ground (after all it is in a residential area) which would restrict us to if I remember rightly only knocking down the West Stand and copying the East increasing our capacity i think to about 42k. There was a suggestion that both the North and South stands were originally built to take another level but changes in building laws means that can't happen now. that's why in the dim and distant past there was talk of moving to the Cross Green/ Knostrop area so we could maintain great motorway links and build a new stadium with a 60k capacity, and assist the council in regenerating that area for industrial use. The other one was to build on the old training ground but that got thrown out at the very early stages due to the same planning issues as the original ground. So in short who knows what will happen

13.) 15 Jan 2017 20:22:59
Whatever happens something needs doing!

14.) 16 Jan 2017 13:50:57
why would we want to start the work in Earnest? surely starting the work in Leeds would make more sense?

17 Dec 2016 20:13:21
If your going to compete in this league you have to win even when not at your best. And still feel the best is yet to come. So keep the faith guys this is our year.

1.) 18 Dec 2016 15:29:00
Wex It's not our year. Our year is 2016b. Hope Daddy is prepared for the irony. Perhaps promotion in May will enable him to lay a ghost to rest.

Although tongue in cheek at the time a couple of weeks ago I joked that Janssen out for rest of season and Cooper steps up to become a Leeds legend. Am I nostradamus or just crazy

1.) 19 Mar 2017 14:07:42
Well I'll give you a clue. You are not nostradamus !

2.) 19 Mar 2017 14:17:51
If Pontus is out for the season then wex I think you should step in instead of cooper! after his almost own goal again why not?

3.) 19 Mar 2017 15:20:16
At6"4 and 20 stone I could certainly stand in the way

4.) 19 Mar 2017 15:26:23
Still more mobile than I wex! I get around like jack charlton and I'm only 33!

5.) 19 Mar 2017 15:53:30
Cooper did Ok but could have easily scored an own goal and should have been booked for pull back on Akpom. Monk's gamble paid off but he should quit whilst he is ahead

6.) 19 Mar 2017 15:59:35
Good shout Notts! thought we'd all agreed wex is in until the end of the season anyway

7.) 19 Mar 2017 15:05:52
Just crazy. However well Cooper plays he always gifts the opposition chances at some point. He could have lost us the game yesterday without Green and if they had a bit of luck. We must replace next season.

8.) 19 Mar 2017 16:53:25
Hess, don't mention that word '"luck " on here! Tin hats on every one, it'll all start again!

9.) 20 Mar 2017 19:55:58
It was a massive gamble to drop Pontus for such a huge game. We got away with it as Murray missed 3 big chances. Cooper just isn't good enough.

18 Mar 2017 21:01:37
We can't continue to play this way. We're way to predictable its only a matter of time before we come undone. NOT

1.) 18 Mar 2017 21:18:20

2.) 18 Mar 2017 21:36:54
That predictability has got us to fourth with eight to play keep the faith MOT.

3.) 18 Mar 2017 21:50:39
We must stop it now. Because having so much possession and wining 2-0 is not acceptable. Get monkey man out. Can't think of a player who had a bad performance today. MOT 👍😂⚽🍺

4.) 18 Mar 2017 22:06:09
Isn't Wex being ironic, don't ya think? It's like rain on your wedding day! 😋

5.) 18 Mar 2017 22:25:23
Someone is awake Danum

6.) 18 Mar 2017 22:25:41
It's a free ride, when you're already late

7.) 18 Mar 2017 22:26:48
I think irony it is. ! It's great being in a position to be ironic and not slagging the team and manager and mr Cellini. Who for a long time has not even got a mention on this. Wow. How far we have come. MOT. 👍⚽😃

8.) 18 Mar 2017 22:29:57
Wex. I think a few have got NOT mixed up with MOT. LOL. in your previous original post. 😂😂😂👍

9.) 18 Mar 2017 22:45:51
There you go batty just like reminding people of the carp they were talking 2 weeks ago

10.) 18 Mar 2017 23:04:14
i agree wex but two weeks ago we were playing very differently, good that it seems it was monks plan but you can not tell me the team that played qrp or fulham played anything like today. i agree we are doing well but can also see what people were saying couple of weeks back when we looked set to get spanked in playoffs

11.) 18 Mar 2017 23:15:01
2 week ago sacko and alf were sat on bench so don't see your reasoning wex. We won happy days have a drink.

17 Mar 2017 20:30:07
Get in Bristol city

{Ed033's Note - That better not be cockney rhyming slang 😋.

1.) 17 Mar 2017 20:46:20
2-0. Watch out you dog botherers we're coming to get you. Get in the council gritters 😜 That's rhyming slang ed.

{Ed033's Note - That's more like it.

2.) 17 Mar 2017 21:25:45
well would you Adam it, the cherry botheres are only going to Tom to Bristol. This is a turn up for the books and done leeds a right cheesy.

{Ed033's Note - Well done.

3.) 17 Mar 2017 21:32:31
A wendies equalizer would be a good night

4.) 17 Mar 2017 21:44:48
steady on Bristol. You'll embarrass those Labrador lovers. Don't we all feel sorry for Wagner?

5.) 17 Mar 2017 22:40:40
Well now even a point for us tomorrow will be good news, and even a narrow loss not a disaster. When did we suddenly get such a better goalie difference than all the teams around us ?

07 Mar 2017 21:55:57
2 home games coming up if we keep our home form up 6 points. We are well in the melting pot lads. Our day will come

07 Mar 2017 21:45:49
We're damn hard to beat. 3 points would have been great but a point away to Fulham in the form they are in is not bad at all.

1.) 07 Mar 2017 22:20:49
Agree wex. Fulham are in great form and very hard to beat at home at present. And tbh even if wood had played. I'd been happy coming away with a point. 3 points at home to QPR next time up. Who have actually picked up in form recently so won't be easy but our home form is great . so positive thinking with a positive outcome. 👍⚽😃

2.) 07 Mar 2017 22:25:34
Don't think there is any reason to be down hearted after tonight's point. Which was a great point against an inform Fulham away from home with a few regulars missing. The boys dug deep as you would expect away from home. And tbh it shows what it meant to the Fulham players to get a point off us as they celebrated like they'd secured promotion. So up next 3 points against an improving QPR team . 👍⚽⚽😃
