Manor completed ???.

Mozel tov.

2.) 27 Aug 2024 20:54:36
Personally think he will prove to be a useful signing to say the least. He could be a very good impact player to have on board, and open up defences that have been set up to spoil. I know others aren’t, but I’m happy with this one.

3.) 27 Aug 2024 20:59:33
Really hope it works out, because when he's fit he's top notch.

4.) 28 Aug 2024 22:49:42
As Dil says the lad can be a massive player for us.
He’s literally a top half EPL player IF he stays fit.

Reportedly we've signed subject to medical Ramazani. Fee reported to be in region of £10M.

GeorgeIntegrityWhitebread

Old news.

2.) 21 Aug 2024 20:53:53
Who the hell is that, George! Sounds like an Italian Pasta.

3.) 21 Aug 2024 20:59:03
Absolute belter of a signing is that! going to be a few opposition full backs getting twisted up in the near future. Rejoice!

4.) 21 Aug 2024 21:35:27
That's what I want to hear Dill!

5.) 21 Aug 2024 21:47:47
Dill Agree. Let's go large.

LUFC reportedly interested in renewing interest in Manuel Benson from Burnley.

LUFC linked with acquisition of Stoke winger Million Manhoef.

GeorgeIntegrityWhitebread

1.) 14 Aug 2024 13:37:05
I liked what I saw of him last season, once he settled he looked very dangerous.

2.) 14 Aug 2024 14:19:59
Melvin Manhoef's son. His dad was a killer in his day. Slumped some big, big dudes, including notoriously iron chinned Mark Hunt. His fights with Cyborg and Robbie Lawler were class, too.

8.) 12 Aug 2024 09:54:12
Agree bright.

9.) 12 Aug 2024 11:51:32
How can you not be the best at TLA when a TLA is in your very own handle?

10.) 12 Aug 2024 17:56:01
The TLA is callous WRT Coops IMO, or maybe I lack SOH. Anyway GTG I'm AFK on WoW.

8.) 10 Oct 2024 06:28:15
I would expect to be top by November. All our games up to next international break are winnable. No excuses. Time to get up there and start to pull away.
No free agent purchases means they don’t think we need them. So. Show us.

Johan Neeskens RIP.

GeorgeIntegrityWhitebread

1.) 08 Oct 2024 05:09:46
Well said George…wow, that Dutch side of 74 and 78.

2.) 08 Oct 2024 09:14:35
Another sad loss in the world of football. Yet another one not making really old bones - 73 is no age at all these days.

3.) 08 Oct 2024 09:29:22
Warra player. RIP.

4.) 08 Oct 2024 10:04:16
Sad news, an excellent player. RIP.

5.) 08 Oct 2024 13:01:09
Back when the game had genuine passion,
That 78 final was 1 of the best,

6.) 08 Oct 2024 13:32:21
What a CV player and what a team, transformative for how football was played, Cryuff took this style of football onto Barcelona and everyone has been trying to copy ever since.

7.) 08 Oct 2024 14:19:22
Enjoyed the individual talent of the players but not sure it was that good.

8.) 08 Oct 2024 19:17:07
It was for me,
The Argie - Peru game also.

9.) 08 Oct 2024 21:00:33
1974, Holland with Cryuff and the great Neeskens spelled the birth of the high press on the world’s footballing stage.

05 Oct 2024 03:31:12
Bazadamus Just musing. LUFC now own the following undesirable stats:

1. Most diabolic refereeing decision against. Won 3 times. We own the top 3 in world football.

2. Most diabolic transfer sale.

3. Most diabolic transfer purchase.

4. Most diabolic (yet foreseeable) goalkeeping howler world football ever saw. Won twice.

5. Up for debate, worst owner (GFH)

Yet we have the greatest fans. In January, you know what we must do.

GeorgeIntegrityWhitebread

1.) 05 Oct 2024 10:05:45
Agree George, and the reason for this is that being a Leeds fan you have to have a reality check every 6 months (for the past 50 odd years anyway, we are realists, we are Leeds.

2.) 05 Oct 2024 11:15:15
We have the greatest fans; says probably the worst fans imaginable.

3.) 05 Oct 2024 14:12:48
Ani Please elucidate what makes me (and presumably Baz) worst fans imaginable?

Is it our hooliganism?

Are we that person who did that inane "prank" years ago involving the security of the ground potentially jeopardizing lives?

Look forward to your answer.

4.) 05 Oct 2024 18:33:29
Strange you feel the need to defend yourselves George, given I never mentioned a single person from the forum. However unlike you, I actually watch my football in a stadium and see first hand fans from all teams (been at the Derby v QPR game today) , and feel quite qualified to comment on the various fans from dozens of teams. The nicest thing I can say about Leeds fans is they’re very fickle, hence the lost 20,000 who didn’t go to lots of games when we were in League 1. Hardly an example of the best fans is it.

Aside from that, I think a some of Leeds fans are vile who attend matches, and safely say without contradiction far worse than many other “home” teams I visit. I just don’t hear the same vitriolic crap anywhere else but Elland Road. It’s even disgusting in the family area at times, to the point I stopped taking my wife and daughter to games, it was so intimidating. I’m an old geezer these days, and now have started to question why I put myself through it…it is no where near as enjoyable as it was, say 20 years ago. Trust me, as a travelling set of fans, they’re brilliant and right up there (we are) , but fickle fare weather, entitled lot at Elland Road not; sorry, that’s my opinion.

5.) 05 Oct 2024 20:36:19
Ani So Leeds fans are the best and worst. Makes sense ?.

6.) 05 Oct 2024 20:36:36
Spot on ani.

16 Sep 2024 15:04:48
Gary Shaw RIP.

GeorgeIntegrityWhitebread

1.) 16 Sep 2024 15:56:30
Indeed George, very sad news.

2.) 16 Sep 2024 17:05:00
Incredibly sad, such an exciting player to watch, deepest sympathies with his family.

3.) 17 Sep 2024 08:32:55
My first pair of shin pads were Gary Shaw endorsed. Cracking player. Sad news indeed.

4.) 17 Sep 2024 11:58:31
A fine player. Very sad news. RIP.

06 Sep 2024 17:47:48
It's been reported that LUFC are considering extending Bambi's contract. Why?

GeorgeIntegrityWhitebread

1.) 06 Sep 2024 18:34:09
Keeping him on after he retires at the end of the season, as he knows his way around the physio room.

2.) 06 Sep 2024 20:56:25
Great reply dill really made me chuckle.

3.) 07 Sep 2024 06:58:38
Just read that about Bambi. Absolutely ridiculous if true. What a complete waste of money.

4.) 07 Sep 2024 07:14:04
Is it though? In contract, he’s worth more to the club and can attract a transfer fee if and when he leaves. He’s just turned 31 and would be a free agent at the end of the season otherwise. I doubt this is about keeping him, though if he returns to fitness / form, why not? I doubt he will be on the same terms; this is about maximising his value to the club.

5.) 07 Sep 2024 08:13:18
A transfer fee? Hilarious.

6.) 07 Sep 2024 08:26:24
Indeed Ani, and he’s probably taking a pay cut too.

7.) 07 Sep 2024 09:21:38
That journo that reported it is a charlatan. Would take it with a bucket load of salt.

8.) 07 Sep 2024 09:23:26
He's already got a contract until 2026 according to transfermarkt, Ani.

9.) 07 Sep 2024 09:24:45
There is a way in which it could make sense. He’s currently the highest earner at the Club, which makes absolutely no sense, given that he’s hardly playing, and on such a high wage no-one would be interested in taking him off our hands at any time in the next 2 years. The lad may be content taking a significant pay cut in exchange for the security of a longer contract.

This could free up some wages for an additional striker in January, either permanent or on loan. If Bamford can find some fitness he could either still be an asset in the rest of this season or, if we do bring in a ‘replacement’, another club might take him loan perhaps paying half of his now lower wages. In the summer, it’s possible again another club could take him on loan on a similar, or better, basis depending on his fitness and form. If somehow he gets into a vein of fitness and form, someone may even take him from us permanently given his reduced wage level.

Bottom line is that as things stand, we’re paying a huge wack to the lad every week whatever his fitness and form is for this season and next, so it’s probably worth rolling the dice, at least to increase the chance of the financial/ fitness/ form odds falling more in the Club’s favour.

10.) 07 Sep 2024 10:39:55
Good points, Clu.

11.) 07 Sep 2024 11:42:03
Careful Cluey; the logic police will stitch you up like a right kipper on that one!

12.) 07 Sep 2024 11:42:14
I’d just send someone round. Its business. Not personal.

13.) 07 Sep 2024 12:02:13
Now I’m confused.
It’s better paying him less money for longer rather than nothing from 2026?
That would have to be a big big drop in pay.

14.) 07 Sep 2024 12:27:29
According to the Athletic again reported i'm May 2034 all Leeds players upon relegation had to undergo a 50% to 60% wage cut.

As such Bamford is on somewhete between £28, 000 to £35,000 . equates to around £3 million remaining wages of 2 years remaining on his contract.

Bamford is 31, he will be 33 at the end of his contract . he is already well, well past his physical best

He has had numerous different injuries over a very troublesome past 3 years

It seems very highly likely he will continue to have extensive injuries and physically deteriorate further
.

So hoping for another club to pay any transfer fee for PB is folly, pie in the sky VERY wishful thinking indeed . never, never happening!

15.) 07 Sep 2024 13:58:48
Plus. As dill says. We can rent out his air b n b in physio room.

16.) 07 Sep 2024 18:41:16
Almost certain to happen then Baz.

17.) 07 Sep 2024 20:38:06
Nope Ani . NEVER will happen ( as deep down you know full well)

much like your "Gonners" ( I did warn thee Ani) ☺.

18.) 07 Sep 2024 22:28:41
Unless he is doing a medical degree and can join the physio staff!

19.) 07 Sep 2024 23:18:31
Bit like your Rodon would never sign permanently for a championship club or Everton would never get a points deduction, or your Philips to the barcodes etc. yea Baz, we take your “never gonner happen” statements with a pinch of salt. When you gonner be right for once?

20.) 08 Sep 2024 00:44:47
Ani . yep Rodon performances this season have very weirdly fallen off a cliff

so maybe the Champo ( not the EPL ) is his ability level after all.

21.) 11 Sep 2024 06:37:55
For one of the extremely rare occasions I’m agreeing with Baz concerning Bamford. He is surplus to requirements due to his constant injuries. No club is likely to invest in a player that spends the majority of his season of the treatment table.
It was not a good idea by our previous owners to give Bamford such a lengthy contract when they did.
Bamford’s playing days for us are all but done, I have a feeling he’ll make some appearances this season but if we go up he’ll either wind down his contract which is more likely or, feel he could have some kind of short future as a semi crocked player for a Championship club.
He also may retire and could go into coaching?
Bamford can also speak four languages and would, you would think have some capacity career wise in football outside of being a player.

WS Not really hindsight. If recruiting team good enough to spot his talent, perhaps should've been given a chance and an extended contract. He arrived highly regarded.

OP Your DJ hit the bar comparison utterly ill-founded. No Leeds fan or neutral's first or final or in between reaction was oh that was bad by DJ, a mistake. Sure I'd have loved if his shot was 5 millimeters lower but it was an excellent effort from 20 yards.

Meschubkalier mistake was from 5 millimeters from the ball, not a 20 yard target. One was a very decent effort, the other was appalling.

I realize the realities of your duties but you may as well claim the moon is made of ?.
