Have a feeling a new signing will be announced tomorrow and probably two.
Who wants a BABYSHAM!

CORKWHITE1

The money is coming for Nuno Espírito Santo.
Backed in to 5s from 20s.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 08 Feb 2023 12:48:14
Ha as predicted by Sir Nostra Baz.

2.) 08 Feb 2023 13:16:49
Hope not. Prefer Spanish, Dutch and Argie first.

3.) 08 Feb 2023 14:13:29
Aus I would prefer the Spanish, Dutch and Argie first too

My prediction isn't based on my preferred choice but on the most realistic choice under this mediocre regime

Nuno is still more preferable than several others such as the Hassanthul and Gerrard.

4.) 08 Feb 2023 17:06:58
So, basically, if you put twenty quid on at 5/ 1, you lose twenty quid, right? ??.

5.) 08 Feb 2023 17:08:01
I’ve read more about Iraola now and tbh I don’t think he’s the type of coach we need. He’s similar to Bielsa in the way he likes to create a chaotic style to catch teams out. High intensity and high risk press. Personally I want us to move away from this style, it’s been sussed out now and teams beat the “traps” way too easily! We need someone to come in and stabilise, make us difficult to break down and let the attacking 4 have more freedom. No RB’s challenging in the attacking area and being caught out of position 15 times a game! Back to basics!

6.) 09 Feb 2023 20:55:22
If you look back I said both poch and Santo been interviewed and nobody seemed to believe me poch has turned us down but Santo is deciding just because papers saying all these others don't believe everything you read.

Apparently Leeds have agreed to pay 10.5 million for the French flop. If true done well to get that deal as I think the court of arbitration said pay the full 21 million.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 06 Dec 2022 03:57:23
If indeed a negotiated settlement is true and at £10.5 million or less

some of which may have allegedly been covered by indemnity/ liability contract insurance

then a much better result.

2.) 06 Dec 2022 13:05:31
So what source is this' apparent £10.5 million rumour ' Jigster?

3.) 08 Dec 2022 09:20:24
Looks like we paying full whack plus interest but on better terms.

4.) 08 Dec 2022 17:54:05
Yeah read those articles Aus today

If true and likely it is
it would mean Bright and Corkster were not correct in their reduced settlement guess

and I was right all along again ? (just jesting fellas )

5.) 09 Dec 2022 07:05:41
How can he play for Basel if we paid for him?

{Ed001's Note - because you gave up his registration a long time ago. You are paying for his original transfer, nothing to do with where he is today.}

6.) 09 Dec 2022 10:32:40
Right. Thanks Ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

28 Jul 2022 18:49:20
Any truth in Ziyech rumours I wonder? At 8 mill it sounds like bollox but.

CORKWHITE1

{Ed002's Note - Someone is teasing you.}

1.) 28 Jul 2022 21:03:24
Not sure he’s the answer to what we need tbh.

2.) 29 Jul 2022 11:10:44
Your right Sweatz, we don't need another winger ATM, albeit lad has quality. but we aapl know what we need desperately.

3.) 29 Jul 2022 11:41:01
Well Corky, in the words of one (fictitious) agent ‘The truth is out there, but so are lies’. I suspect our ‘interest’ in Ziyech may be in the words of an entirely different kind of agent, and there’s more chance of ? turning up at Thorp Arch than him.

14 Jul 2022 20:45:46
Possible target is Zinchenko. Well going by a few wagers placed in last 24 hours.
Large bets too.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 14 Jul 2022 22:17:39
Corky How are you privy to such information?

2.) 15 Jul 2022 04:51:22
He wants to play in midfield.

3.) 15 Jul 2022 08:19:50
I work for a large betting company.

4.) 15 Jul 2022 13:35:10
Corky Thank you for sharing but current talk about him seems to have him Goons bound.

Wanna make a point about Gnonto. He may of wanted out of our great club but wow what a turnaround. His work rate is phenomenal. He tracks back more often than the two stooges Baz n George!

CORKWHITE1

1.) 17 Mar 2024 23:04:07
Boom boom Cork.

2.) 18 Mar 2024 00:08:40
Agree cork. Very good performance.

3.) 18 Mar 2024 00:35:01
Berm ☝️? Example of banter. No grumbling from me or Baz.

4.) 18 Mar 2024 07:05:17
George for it to be banter it has to be funny not personal or offensive.

I was in a pub full of wall fans as I always am … imagine being the only leeds fan in a school of 2k kids… believe me I know banter.

5.) 18 Mar 2024 07:35:27
Perhaps the reason being that the so called Banter comes from fellow Leeds fans makes it in effect, offensive?
I’ve met Leeds fans in many different countries on my travels and have only had amicable times with them.
Meeting fans on the internet is very different as there is no real human contact.
MOT, sometimes.

6.) 18 Mar 2024 07:44:32
You forgot “repetive, childish, and tedious” Bermo! It was bants (supposedly) a long time ago!

7.) 18 Mar 2024 07:58:56
Yeah bright very good point!

17 Mar 2024 20:58:56
Did Rutter get MOM and if so why?
He gave the ball away numerous times, couldn't keep hold of it and his shooting was poor. I realize he got two assists but those stats imo are phoney as the first was a shovel pass and it was the genius of Willy that made the goal. Ok the second he done extremely well.
He does show moments of genius but in the top flight will be a liability on this and recent performances.
Harsh maybe but true.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 17 Mar 2024 21:51:01
Rodon or Ampadu should be MOM
Not Gio.

2.) 17 Mar 2024 22:46:37
Cork ? UTWADTB.

3.) 17 Mar 2024 22:54:30
It was very frustrating watching him today trying the impossible. He needs to lift his head and look at the better options that are available. Lots of moans amongst the silent majority in the West Stand "Upper" today. He did though deliver the goods.

4.) 17 Mar 2024 23:59:26
Gio is maybe slowing a little this is his first full season playing first team football. But he keeps assisting and he keeps trying.
That's all we can ask. Hopefully after this break he'll be refreshed.

5.) 18 Mar 2024 07:15:01
Leading assist provider in the league. Can’t ask for more than what he is delivering. But definitely needs to work on that there shooting malarkey!

6.) 18 Mar 2024 08:09:34
Rutter was pulled and hacked down for most of the match, he and Cree are the two targets for the Neanderthal opposition. Opposing players won’t get away with that in the Premiership with VAR and refs who know the rules of football.

Rutter deserves all the plaudits he gets, a very young player who is evolving and will continue to with maturity.
We are very lucky to have him so enjoy and celebrate the time he is with us because the big guns will be after him in the not too distant future.

7.) 18 Mar 2024 12:27:09
Rutter is an odd one. 90% of his touches are like he hasn't worked out how long his legs are and his touch and shooting is woeful, but he has the talent and ability to change a game completely in that other 10% of the time and that's why he is key to our success and was the MOM yesterday. Without those flashes of brilliance that was 0-0.

8.) 18 Mar 2024 14:56:56
I agree Alf. Not sure about the nil nil score though?
It was the genius of Gnonto which gave us first goal.

9.) 18 Mar 2024 19:43:57
Hernia problem should be able to make sense of why, in some opinions, he's slowed a little.

10 Mar 2024 14:21:48
Ampadu 7 million? Buy of the season, no decade.
Done a proper Dick Turpin on the Kings Road mob!
SEVEN MILLION.
Seven Mill
£7.000 000
7,000 bags of sand
No matter how you say it Chelsea got rightly done up.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 10 Mar 2024 14:37:15
When compared to the 100 million plus some of there players cost

I know Tom Bradshaw who plays with our boys at wales

He said Dan James has really matured and come into himself, Rodon is quality and amps is a rolls Royce of a player!

Happy days.

2.) 10 Mar 2024 15:07:21
I’ll be the first to praise Amps and James but you have measure in that this is only the Championship, as James with his time in the Prem with three different clubs, he hasn’t really shone like he has in the Champo.
Having said that both of these players have matured and hopefully they will both not be out of place in the premiership
This also applies to Farke, an outstanding Championship coach but can he have success in the Premiership?
With all the great football we are seeing with our team right now, it shouldn’t be ignored that there is a great divide between the two Leagues.
My personal thoughts are that if the 49ers back Farke, he will keep us in the Premiership if promoted.

3.) 10 Mar 2024 16:08:41
He had millions at Norwich.

4.) 10 Mar 2024 16:33:03
Millions of what?

5.) 10 Mar 2024 16:58:35
Cork Well plagiarized from One Leeds Fan Channel! ??.

6.) 10 Mar 2024 17:16:10
I have seen Conor’s channel George but if he said same as me well he’s a smart lad.

7.) 10 Mar 2024 18:03:37
Cork Amps is my player of the season.

8.) 10 Mar 2024 18:14:54
Farke did have money at Norwich in the prem but as with bielsa nowhere near enough.
Farkes Norwich did not fair well in the Premiership as if memory serves.
If leeds do go up this year we will have a better deeper squad than last time.

9.) 10 Mar 2024 19:52:10
100% George.

10.) 10 Mar 2024 19:53:43
Whiteman, that's just not accurate at all, mate.

When they went up to the EPL for the 19/ 20 season they had barely F all. Biggest expenditure that season was Sam McCallum for £4.15m. Next biggest signing was Sam Byram at £830k. Net spend was £-6.62m.

The second time they went up under Farke, 21/ 22, they had lost their most integral player in Buendia (sold for £38.4m) and spent £63.55m, meaning net spend was £-25.15m. They would've had barely F all again had they not sold Buendia. Furthermore, that season for every £100 earned they paid out £88 in wages. Their finances were very poor.

You can't seriously think that's an adequate amount of money to A. replace your most influential player and B. build a team of EPL calibre. It's peanuts in today's game.

Farke worked on a shoestring budget. Something which he won't have to do if we get promoted.

11.) 10 Mar 2024 20:20:09
Spot on Dill. Was going to say exact same but without the actual numbers!

12.) 10 Mar 2024 20:39:01
Gotta thank transfermarkt, they did all the heavy lifting ?

Deffo underfunded in his time there.

And fwiw, they played some decent football at times, but the talent just wasn't good enough, so I have no nerves about Farke succeeding in the EPL with financial backing.

13.) 10 Mar 2024 22:54:56
Good post dill. I knew farke did not have much backing when Norwich went up but I thought it was a bit more than you that.
When A team win promotion as Ipswich did last year the need to try to continue the momentum of that season is key.

14.) 10 Mar 2024 22:55:37
Great post Dillinger

Farke had pennies… just as reference didn’t Belisa spend something like 150 million in one window?

15.) 11 Mar 2024 00:10:52
I think you are referring berm to 20-21 season. According to transfermarkt. co. uk it 127 mil for the full year and they are putting jka transfer in that as well 21 mil.
Is a good sum but considering the injuries we carried it was a drop in the ocean.

16.) 11 Mar 2024 08:22:10
Stuart Webber was a notoriously tight Sporting Director in his time at Norwich, which is why I was extremely dubious when we got linked with him to follow Farke.

I wanted Dmitri de Conde from Genk (emphasis on youth progression and possession based players) in the summer, but things seemed to have worked out better than fine with recruitment this season, Spence debacle aside.

17.) 11 Mar 2024 08:42:36
Very true mate we also spent a fair few quid getting up
People talk about bubs turning us around but he spent 20 million ( know that for fact this was the final fee) on bamford alone who was huge player for us… signings like this ate huge in championship

Bubs had his merits and his downfalls farke is just class on every level…. We are very lucky to have him.

18.) 11 Mar 2024 11:23:21
Just to add I think we all agree amps, kamara and gruev are all bargains. Plus if we add archie to that we have got a very solid midfield for less than 20 mil.
Bargain.
If only our previous owners could have done that?

19.) 12 Mar 2024 14:08:07
Bamford was £8m rising to £10m based on appearances.

08 Mar 2024 20:55:49
Absolutely piss poor.
Apart from two CBs the rest shocking.
Firpo great cross though.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 08 Mar 2024 22:10:12
Reality check, good solid performance.
Win with conceding no goals.
Amps outstanding.

2.) 08 Mar 2024 22:20:28
That was my HT verdict OP.

3.) 08 Mar 2024 22:54:27
Cork I don’t think it was a case of us being piss poor in that first half, more like them playing very well.
Certainly for 20 mins, fortunately for us some of their passing and defending was terrible.
I thought we played that game relatively easy compared to the Hudds game.

4.) 09 Mar 2024 07:26:05
Ex loanee Barry Bannan was superb for them in the first half. Tired later, but covered every inch of the park in the first 50-60 mins, and was the driving force behind their 1st half dominance.

05 Mar 2024 22:07:30
Tripswitch rightly getting on my tits.
Gotta give em credit though. They really are a bunch of average championship players but as a team there's no better in the league.

CORKWHITE1

1.) 05 Mar 2024 22:20:57
You are spot on Corky in that Assessment.

While I agree with some of what you say Bermo Phillips is a good player. He is slow and players can breeze past him but David Batty wasn’t exactly quick either. I believe he is more suited to international football with the slower pace and having more time on the ball.
As for having numerous clips of his ineptitude you could do the same on almost any player. Ronald Koeman was such a player. Unbelievable at certain parts of the game but on occasion could be a liability.
It’s all about opinions I suppose? You actually said before Shackleton was a class act and was way better than Phillips but I see Jamie as much as I like his endeavour a league 1 or at best Milwall level player.
Not taking the piss with Milwall bit by the way!

Was thinking same George.
In saying that Gnonto is the better finisher than James. For a wide man he very clinical in his finish’s.
Nice to have options though.
