Reports from Belgium are that Roofe has completed a switch to Anderlecht on a 3 year deal.
Hopefully we will see some more transfer action with a couple coming in tomorrow. Reports from Inter Milan are that a deal is close for their young CB and Striker, could be very promising!

RHC and Alf, are you still in the most negative camp ever that this was a useless transfer window?
I think it’s a great transfer window, whether they are loans or not, we have lost some decent players (Janson, Roofe) , but gained better players (White, Nketiah) , along with the addition of Costa who will be amazing, retaining Harrison for a 2nd season and kept Clarke for the season, plus a better backup keeper who will probably be the first choice very soon, and be the best keeper we have had for a while!
We have a far better team than last year and I think it may be time for you to indulge in some humble pie, maybe a huge piece! Just my opinion though!

Midfield General

1.) 08 Aug 2019 18:54:13
General, the naysayers need to eat the egg off their faces before going to the humble pie desert.

2.) 08 Aug 2019 18:50:34
White better than Jannson remains to be seen And Eddie is not ours what if for some reason he's recalled. Just saying.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 19:07:12
Wex Can't see there being a recall clause in the agreement.

4.) 08 Aug 2019 19:14:23
for me wex it ain't about white better than janson it is janson better than cooper last year we was not good enough at the back and kept the lesser player and sold the better one, i like white for cooper but we needed to keep janson or find a replacement.

cooper has been a main stay for years now and always found wanting why will he be good enough this year. let's not even think about if either one get injured or suspended in which case Bernie who sells burgers in the bremner suite will get a game.

5.) 08 Aug 2019 19:16:38
Wex, not sure whether there is a clause inserted that he can be recalled, but would be very surprised unless we don’t meet the terms of the contract (playing time) , so we should be OK.
I think it’s just about time to stop with the constant negative posts, which generally come from the same people, who will probably never be happy. Time to get behind the team!

6.) 08 Aug 2019 19:20:55
Wex, I used to share the same opinion of loan players, but I do believe that we have strengthened this transfer window and if we go up with this squad, I don't give a rats ass who the players belong to. Villa did it with Abraham, Sheffield Utd had a lot of loanees as they're better players so if we go up, we'll have plenty of money to buy decent replacements for these loaned players.

On another point, I though we had an option to buy Harrison? I hope so as i think he'll have a better season this season and don't want to see his value price us out of a move.

MM.

7.) 08 Aug 2019 19:27:15
I'm right behind you General!

04 Aug 2019 18:34:05
Ausman, at 14.41 today, you said being 15th in the league without kicking a ball was as good as it gets, I think you got that one wrong, as normal!

Midfield General

1.) 04 Aug 2019 18:50:57
MG, you got there before me old bean.

15 May 2019 21:45:01
Pathetic! Nothing short of embarrassing.
Sorry, I know Berardi gives his all but both bookings were school boy, complete knob, Jansson should have played. Bamford was as useful as a carpet fitters ladder and Cooper, well .
I just hope Radz finds some money from somewhere for next season
Completely p. ’d off!

Midfield General

1.) 15 May 2019 21:57:21
Another bull post.

27 Apr 2019 20:20:09
By that logic, shouldn’t you be a Linfield supporter?

Midfield General

25 Apr 2019 19:08:26
What worries me is that if we manage to get promoted (if) , then how much of the money will be spent on players, I don’t believe enough of the money will be spent on players as Radz has no money and will no doubt recoup some of his expenditure and maybe to use on another failed tv project.
Where will that leave us, facing a season like Hudders have just had, and I for one wouldn’t want a depressing season like that.
If we don’t make the big time, then maybe we will be bought by someone with cash who can take us to the promised land and keep us there! Just a thought but there is a Saudi consortium looking to buy a club who have similar resources to the Man City owner!

Midfield General

1.) 25 Apr 2019 20:15:03
Midfield, maybe desperation to some but maybe true, no point going up if the money from doing so is not use to fund a team able to stay in it, on the other hand we would have more for coming back down for Radz to pocket, still we have to get there first.

2.) 25 Apr 2019 22:29:10
Proves my point, we moan about Radz and welcome Saudi money!

3.) 26 Apr 2019 03:31:27
Who's got access to the club's and Radz's bank accounts then? Someone must have if they know it and he are broke.

4.) 26 Apr 2019 12:49:43
AL no one knows until it happens, truth is he didn’t have 1 mill to punch through the deal in January ( Did he spanishleeds) so where is the investment going to come from.? No one is being negative spanishleeds just asking questions, why don’t you want Saudi money didn’t you know the uk is in bed with them and so are many others, can’t see why you against it, well suppose it’s like me I don’t like Radz and believe you will see why.

5.) 26 Apr 2019 14:49:50
Whiteman. can I just confirm. you don't like Radz because he didn't stump up £1m in January for James?

Jesus, you don't like someone because they did fork out their hard earned money on something you thought was a good idea but he didnt

Where were you with you £1m to help the deal go through?

Grow up. Radz was the guy who is prepared to fork out £10m at the beginning of the season on a striker. In my opinion he is doing us proud

And as for your idea that we will soon learn why you don't like Radz. Honestly I don't actually care why you don't like him, and never will.

6.) 26 Apr 2019 16:08:17
I take it that you was in the boardroom while the transfer negotiations were going on then Whiteman? Because the ones that were there are the only ones that know what went on. As for Saudi money, the Saudis can stick it.

7.) 26 Apr 2019 17:31:36
axe, I have never liked him from day one and for many reasons. as for the 10 mill it never happened did it.

8.) 26 Apr 2019 19:43:55
White
You not liking Radz from day one. wtf. you don't know him yet you don't like him. really, very mature

£10m. so how did we buy Banford then?

9.) 26 Apr 2019 23:47:41
AL really! 🥜🧳.

Chris x2, Not sure what you are talking about. I am with George and Axe, Radz is bar far the best Chairman we have had in years. Yes I would like a chairman to bring in Neymar and Bale, but it ain’t going to happen, but last year was the best year we have had in terms of performances and results for a long time, and that starts at the top.
Selling Pontus had to happen if he was a bad apple, no matter how good, club comes first! If we land Gayle, Kent and perhaps another CB, will Radz then become a legend?
Cockerney, I would say, if Roofe goes and Gayle comes in, that’s a result!

I hope so Wex, definitely in favour of bringing in some more cash and letting Mbappe get a run out in the English league.

Can’t believe anyone thinks this is anything other than Harte either trying to get more money for his client (and himself) or Spurs making a genuine approach as they see a long term future with him at the club.
Conspiracy theories like the club are pushing him out for money, and his dad knowing the fanatical status of the club are pish.
If he didn’t want to go, he wouldn’t go and would not agree terms. Harte probably looked at his salary, compared to Harrison and thought he could get more for Clarke (doing his job! )
For the record, I don’t believe it’s a good move for the lad, he will progress much faster at Leeds and be worth far more in a year or two than being at Spurs, and in a year or two he would command a starting spot in the PL, that won’t happen for him now, it’s happened for so many (Sam Byron, Lewis Cooke etc etc etc)

Great idea in theory which would help lower league clubs, but the issue is the money goes to the owners of the clubs, and scrotums like the Bury owner would probably pocket that and the club be in the same situation.

What the EFL need to do is ensure they have the power to intervene if a club hits certain issues (that they would need to clarify, like debt, ability to page wages etc) and take control of the club to find a suitable buyer. This should be part of the fit and proper persons test, that prospective owners agree to, so anyone who knows they cannot sustain a clubs future and only in it for the short term exploitation, wouldn’t agree to, as they would lose any investment. Just my opinion, but something needs to be done about these holes who are able to ruin clubs!

Rant over, come on you Whites!
