Leeds have been linked with 23 year old midfielder Yangel Herrera, who is currently nearing the end of a two season loan at Granada from Manchester City.

Interesting one, very versatile and at a good age. Mainly plays as a DM though, wonder if he would be willing to play no 2 to Kalvin after going on loan to get first team football, seems counter productive for him.

2.) 14 Apr 2021 10:09:37
Again.

Leeds have allegedly been in contact with Sampdoria about 28 year old defender Omar Colley. Early days yet but a fee could be around 10-15 million.

1.) 14 Apr 2021 03:15:54
Been linked with a couple of CBs now, wonder if someone is on the way out or if someone is getting a position shift. Can't see us going into next season with 5 senior CBs, especially when Kalvin and Bill can cover.

2.) 14 Apr 2021 10:09:56
Again again.

3.) 14 Apr 2021 21:37:09
I can see Llorente being pushed forward as cover for KP a bit more and therefore opening up a CB slot. Surely Cooper can't be number 1 choice next season? Saying that with the injuries we had this year an extra CB wouldn't have gone amiss so maybe there is room for 5.

Everton teenager Thierry Small is reportedly refusing to sign a new contract as he has not been impressed with his lack of first-team exposure. 16yrs old and LB. Leeds supposedly interested.

alftupper

1.) 03 Apr 2021 01:41:59
Mmmm again.

2.) 03 Apr 2021 23:41:22
Martyn Do you prefer Orta to target toddlers instead? That way there's little to no risk of repetition. Or embryonic life forms to be sure or glints in milkmen's eyes?

3.) 08 Apr 2021 21:59:53
Well I guess it would shame up if he did George AGAIN.

4.) 09 Apr 2021 00:33:54
Shut me up I ment, bloody phone.

5.) 10 Apr 2021 15:32:43
Leeds interested in one year old Flabio Pele Messi Ronaldinho., one for the future. he has a sweet right foot when you take the bootie off.

6.) 11 Apr 2021 09:42:30
Not him doing the rounds again? Was sick of hearing about this one from the moment his mum got her positive test back.

29 Mar 2021 22:09:00
Leeds United are keeping tabs on Espanyol forward Raul de Tomas.

alftupper

1.) 30 Mar 2021 01:00:12
Again.

2.) 30 Mar 2021 02:38:16
Moved for £20m last year, great LaLiga2 stats but we would have to get him at a serious discount on that to be worth the risk.

3.) 03 Apr 2021 11:58:34
Tbh £20mil isn't much of a risk for a striker - if he steps up it would be an absolute bargain.

4.) 11 Apr 2021 02:33:15
Well of coarse it's not much of a risk if he steps up Alf, the risk is that he won't step up. If we are going to take a £20m risk it should be on a younger player like Raphinha not a player in his prime years. If we are going to do that we could get an uninspiring but solid player from a prem team, at least we will know what we will get.

29 Mar 2021 21:57:51
England under-21 international Noni Madueke linked with a summer move.

alftupper

1.) 30 Mar 2021 01:00:26
Again.

2.) 30 Mar 2021 02:35:34
Could be an astute transfer if we can get him at a reasonable price. Good age, already playing first team. Great goals and assists (Not the best league tbf) for his age. Would also bolster our English quota.
Biggest concern is that as a winger, although his movement is good, he doesn't exactly leave defenders for dead.
Couple of big clubs also looking though so could be hard to pull off.

3.) 30 Mar 2021 14:33:10
What's all this repetitive 'again' nonsense big fella 🤣.

4.) 30 Mar 2021 17:14:55
Lol Martyn! Again! 🤣🤣🤣.

5.) 30 Mar 2021 18:31:54
We’ve been linked to everyone before Bv so it’s just again and again and again.

6.) 30 Mar 2021 19:07:29
Ok fair enough Martyn 😉😂.

Forshaw the Leeds ghost due to play his return game for the u23s on Friday. Is he a player that would be useful for the firsts next season or a case of too little too late?

alftupper

1.) 14 Apr 2021 22:27:13
Think they’ll try and get him match fit and sell him to a Championship side, his contract is up next year but I don’t think they’ll get much return on him anyhow. I’d be astonished if he got any first team matches.

2.) 15 Apr 2021 00:01:41
Honestly I'd sell or see if he will mutually terminate his contract. He's been out too long, will struggle to step up after 19 months out. Let him go so he can find a champ club to finish his career at.

3.) 15 Apr 2021 06:06:23
Think we should see how he gets on. He played in the friendly game at york last Saturday possibly hoping to get a full game with the under 23s or as long as he can last. Only three u23 games left, but I think he might feature in all of those. We are not blessed with lots of options in his position with experience so if he can do a full preseason he might just be a squad asset next year. Good luck to him.

4.) 15 Apr 2021 12:25:53
I didn’t rate him as a championship player never mind a premiership player who’s been out for 19 months.

Bielsa seems to love him and he knows far more about football than I do so maybe there is a player waiting to surprise us all.

I’d personally be shocked if we didn’t sign at least one centre midfielder of some sort this transfer window.

Hernandez too old now and with klich losing form that’s 2 midfielders down. Rodrigo isn’t quite the player we was hoping for and is possibly only playing there due to a shortage of options otherwise we wouldn’t of been trying to sign a centre mid come back end of the window at the start of the season to only fail his medical at the last minute.

14 Apr 2021 21:19:06
Ian Wright has visited Thorp Arch to record a Kalvin Phillips special that will go out on Saturday on Football Focus.

alftupper

1.) 15 Apr 2021 08:12:58
Good to see Kalvin, and Leeds United, get this kind of recognition from the BBC. Should be a good watch.

13 Apr 2021 15:52:56
So, what to do about Costa? He actually had a good game and played a big part in the first goal. I think having Costa on the left and keeping Raph on the right worked better than the other way around. The question is has Costa done enough to keep his place against Liverpool or does Harrison go back in?

alftupper

1.) 13 Apr 2021 17:12:36
One swallow doesn't make a summer. He has to combine good games with consistency to command a first team place. For me Harrison comes back even though he has, at times, gone to sleep. Maybe I am argueing for a Raphina clone on the Left.

2.) 13 Apr 2021 17:51:02
If only we had Raphinha clones throughout the team!

3.) 13 Apr 2021 18:25:29
100% guaranteed that El Magico will recall Harrison. But Costa could well become a ( very) good option for Leeds.
Costa played well against Citeh was up for it, looked stronger physically and mentally too. Needs to keep doing it.

4.) 13 Apr 2021 19:22:03
I think he plays better when it's good weather.

5.) 13 Apr 2021 20:29:42
Harrison nailed on to return, Costa will stay next season as a squad player.

6.) 13 Apr 2021 23:31:16
Costa appears better against better teams.
By that I mean when we have less possession and our best outlet is a fast breakaway he has the speed to make good use of space.
He may start against Liverpool for that reason but I'd play Harrison.

7.) 14 Apr 2021 03:21:21
Now we are safe I wonder if a few senior fringe players like him and a few youngsters might get minutes between now and the end of the season to see who stays, who moves on and who gets loaned out to get some first team next year.
One good game certainly doesn't get him permanently back in the starting 11 but it might be enough to get a couple of starts to prove he deserves to stay.

{Ed0666's Note - if it were me I’d play my strongest side from now till the end of the season as the higher you are in the league the more prize money there is.

9.) 14 Apr 2021 06:18:45
Our hand may be forced anyway on this one. Raph looking like he will miss out due to his thigh injury so it may be Harrison and Costa.

10.) 14 Apr 2021 10:12:11
Leodis one swallow might not make a summer but it sure makes a big fella happy 😉.

11.) 14 Apr 2021 10:10:47
Yes another decision to make from the powers that be SatanEd. The finance director may well push for the highest finish possible but if he takes a long term financial view the emergence of a home grown talent could save him and his boss a few bob in transfers. eg Newbie vs Davis?

{Ed0666's Note - it’s all about money mate. So finishing highest possible is the name of the game. In an ideal world you’d play all the promising kids in the prem after guaranteeing top flight status but not gonna happen. Maybe the last game of the season?

12.) 15 Apr 2021 00:06:56
Honestly with a little gap above and a bigger gap below we won't move much either way. Difference between 11th and 9th is only around £7m, if we can blood an u23 or two to step up as backup next season we could easily save more than that in avoiding the need for new signings.

11 Apr 2021 07:21:12
Bielsa close to signing a new two year contract with the club 😍😍😍.

alftupper

1.) 11 Apr 2021 08:10:44
Also seen reports that there is speculation in South American press to that effect. Would be great if true, three years would be better, and apparently the club would prefer that, so perhaps two years would be the compromise position both side could live with. A two year Bielsa deal would certainly strengthen Orta’s position in talks for new signings - it’s clear that working with Bielsa is a big draw for many good players, so assurance of continuity in that respect would surely be beneficial.

2.) 11 Apr 2021 08:22:44
I’d be very surprised Alf, delighted but surprised!
Not the way he does things!

3.) 11 Apr 2021 09:38:35
Oh no not mahoganies ( said berm quietly under his breath) 😁.

What a performance from player of the season Dallas.

1.) 10 Apr 2021 14:51:39
I adore and have huge admiration for Stuart Dallas ;

what a huge improvement revelation and transformation from the player that first arrived at Leeds United.

They're not the first smaller club to have worked out they can make a bit of money by charging the Leeds fans.

the commentary of the second goal was:

Bro 1: “I mean, three minutes of injury time, three minutes, is that enough time? ”

Bro 2: “Of course it is… It might be enough time for them. ”

Bro 1: “Oh no, no, no, no, no…”

Bro 2: “They’re in behind…”

Bro 1: “No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no…”

Bro 2: “It’s Leeds 2-1.”

Bro 1: “Yo, I said it. They had chances to score. ”

Bro 2: “I can’t believe it. ”

Bro 1: “They had chances. That’s what happens when you miss chances guys. We did it against Dortmund. Today we missed our chances and lost the game because we are not clinical enough. Spend £150m on Haaland because this club has too many players that can’t score. ”.
