Does anyone know if we are allowed to pick any of the returning loanees for the final three games?

Thinking of Cresswell, Shacks and Hjelde as they won't be involved in the play-offs.

{Ed002's Note - No, they are not available.}

More than likely certain abuse has gone too far and I don’t blame him if he’s simply had enough of it.

Agree Shane another good and values poster gone.

Bang average game - City set their stall out for a draw and we just lacked that edge. Poor games from Piroe and Gnonto.

Still, a point is a point away from home!

Looking forward to next Saturday and entertaining Mr Rooney at home - let's see if we can't get him sacked for the second season on the trot at Elland Road:)

Sunderwich cuurently 5 points ahead of LUFC.

2.) 26 Oct 2024 15:26:41
Cleggy We'll have to do it minus Bogle whom I believe is now suspended.

3.) 26 Oct 2024 15:36:29
Goalkeeper, Bogle, Sam, Rodon, Pascal, Tanaka, Rothwell, BA, Gnonto, and Piroe (starting) . All ten players never looked like they could shoot let alone score!

4.) 26 Oct 2024 15:45:23
A CAM Pablo type and a goalscorer needed recruiting .

Sunderwich, Burnley, Baggies are all top 2 contenders.

5.) 26 Oct 2024 16:00:12
Baz Are we merely playoff contenders in the absence of excellent January recruitment?

6.) 26 Oct 2024 16:13:01
Correction * Sheff U ( rather than Baggies)

7.) 26 Oct 2024 16:21:55
Good question Georgey.

the absence of Ramazzani has highlighted weaknesses up front amonsgt other players.

8.) 26 Oct 2024 16:50:05
You are quite right Georgie, Bogle will be out next weekend.

And agree with both yourself and Baz on recruitment. We need a proven goalscorer! Personally I'd still go for Danny Ings from West Ham. Rarely gets a start, yet still manages to find the back of the net in the higher league. He would have a field day in the championship - yes, his wages would be an issue but if we are serious about going up then he's exactly the type of player we need to bring in!

9.) 26 Oct 2024 17:09:15
Good shout Cleggy. Ings can come on loan along with a return of my estranged son.

10.) 26 Oct 2024 22:40:16
? Baz. Give the Hernandez bit a break Your posts are boring enough already without the repetitive Pablo and throw James in to it bollox.

11.) 27 Oct 2024 12:24:50
Cork
1.Leave off again with the orders.
2 Until Leeds actually sign a CAM it remains true
3 Feel free to actually entertain us.

The positives - would have taken a draw at the start of the game, thought we deserved to win. Pleased with Rothwell and Tanaka partnership and hats off to Gnonto on an excellent performance.

The negatives - Meslier, Meslier, Meslier, Meslier, Meslier, Meslier etc, etc, etc.

Cleggy

1.) 04 Oct 2024 22:17:09
BA should be playing high school football. Too lightweight for this league.

2.) 04 Oct 2024 22:21:40
His rating by local journos needs to be negative infinity to the millionth power cubed.

20 Sep 2024 15:37:34
Right then, no more messing around - I'm sticking my neck out and going for a 3 - 0 win for us tomorrow! Just remind Meslier that you are allowed to dive when their first shot on target comes at him:)

Cleggy

1.) 20 Sep 2024 16:22:46
Going for a 2 1 Leeds win Cleggy . clean sheet is really needed though because we might just score 1.

As for Statue Le Gash and forever not diving .

No other Leeds player in history has infuriated more .

well except on vital occasions Gary Sprake such as Cup Final 1970 .

BUT Sprake was still a far better gk than Meslier.

2.) 20 Sep 2024 16:36:34
I'm hoping for a good win but I can see a scrappy 2-1 defeat. They scored before half time, we come back in the second half. Late subs allow them to build momentum and sneak another one in 75th minute.

3.) 20 Sep 2024 17:00:58
Woah MOTalaw your prediction we lose to bottom of league Cardiff

AND concede 2 goals ( Cardiff don't score goals)

You be really gunning for Farke!

4.) 20 Sep 2024 17:18:28
Regardless of what's going on, it's still Leeds Vs Cardiff, Away.

Our defense is hit with injuries, the replacements haven't played with the squad in a match game, Bamford is fit so he will come on at some point. Ramazani hasn't had a full match so he's still an unknown and no midfield sub in Rothwell leaves us thin on the ground subs wise.

Firpo is out leaving an attacking left back wanting, I don't know who his replacement is.

The lads have their heads down, the fans are losing hope and Cardiff desperately needs a win.

All signs point to us losing. I hope we don't, but we have one hell of a mountain to climb with what is essentially a B team. The B team got beat 0-3 to Middlesbrough and our A team scraped a loss against a substandard Burnley.

5.) 20 Sep 2024 17:41:59
They are our bogey team right back to that FA Cup defeat that I always see as the catalyst for a slow demise and our original relegation from the EPL. It always seemed to me that "giant-kill" started it all. We [until Liverpool] were the only team at that point, top at Christmas not to win the league. I always blamed that Cardiff defeat.

We lost twice at home to Wigan when they were bottom, hadn't won away for over a season; in fact we were their only away victory that season so bonkers things happen in this league.

They always seem to do us when it matters the most!

Nonetheless I am hoping for a nervy away win, 0-1.

[I won't be around here for a week if we lose; couldn't face it, when defeat is miserable enough! ].

6.) 20 Sep 2024 18:01:33
Some fair analaysis MOTalaw

It"s a far cry from your Leeds winning the league with 8 matches to spare

Changing one's mind all good though MOTalaw.

7.) 20 Sep 2024 19:10:53
Ani

But Leeds thrashed Cardiff away last season 3 nil.

Believe fella!

Be optimistic and super positive like me!

8.) 20 Sep 2024 19:23:14
That Cardiff cup defeat was probably the most costly defeat in our history.

9.) 20 Sep 2024 19:25:09
The players attitude towards the game could be key, because Cardiff will be at it.

10.) 20 Sep 2024 20:29:37
Baz,

I still think we will win the league. That doesn't mean there won't be defeat and bumps along the way. Once we find our form, like last season, we will be on another winning streak.

11.) 21 Sep 2024 05:36:29
2-0 Leeds.

I desperately want Largie to start RW because he will be a great outlet and help maximise the potential of Bogle going forward. Most of our attacks have again been down the left or centrally and it's really left Bogle isolated, which imo is one of the reqsons we haven't seen the best of him yet. They should strike up a good partnership those two given their profiles.

Gnonto on the LW where historically he's played his best football and where most of our attacks seem to go through. Meaning he'll be on the ball a lot more without having to go looking for it as much. Reckon he'll get a goal today if he plays off the left.

Aaronson to lead the press in AM, as well as continuing trying those neat little passes between the CB and FB that we saw in the first half last week. Think he was our beat passer in the final third last week and we lost his work rate, pressing and the aforementioned passing when Piroe came on to replace him.

I'd like Tanaka to start over Gruev in a game like this, but seems unlikely after Farke's presser. He seemed pretty defiant in the face of being called too defensive with the double pivot. I think he's wrong tbh. We don't need two DMs for balance against poor sides.

Hopefully no more injuries but if Firpo is out I much prefer Schmidt over Byram, from what I've seen of Schmidt.

Wober for Rodon, if he's out. Pretty much picks itself that one.

All in all 2-4 changes being made dependent on injuries, but expecting only 1, being Largie for Solomon.

2-0 and we'll see some better attacking stuff today as Cardiff are very poor.

12.) 21 Sep 2024 06:38:18
The outcome of whether we win this game will also largely depend on the match officials.
Cardiff will play a low block and foul our players consistently, the standard of referring in the Championship I feel is probably at this level the poorest in Europe.
We’ll see what Cardiff get away with later today.

13.) 21 Sep 2024 08:22:31
I agree Dill, on all, with the exception of Gruev. The match will be won in a MF battle of attrition, and I personally haven’t seen enough of Ao (yes ima lazy typer) to throw him in. Farke has tho, so you may get your wish! Still going for a win by two goals, in a battle, but a battle statistically dominated by us. Largie and Matteo with the goals.

14.) 21 Sep 2024 11:43:47
Just not Farkes way to start new players but you’re right Brighty Farke sees them train everyday so has to judge who has trained well and is best shape for each game.

BUT, it worries me when I heard his press conference saying Gruev needed six months to bed in when he first game etc etc

AO has played and scored at the highest level of football so let’s not build on waiting time if it’s not necessary.

Parker gave four players debuts when beating us, all four had signed after Manor Solomon (who Farke did start from the off? )

Call it loyalty to players with the shirt call it calm pragmatic but Farke needs to win today as a loss could create unrest with our supporters which could quickly transfer to the team.

Yes it’s always a tricky fixture but with our squad and our financial clout we must be winning these type of games as a matter of course if we are to be promoted.

Think 3-1 win with Joseph (2) and Struick scoring from a corner!

15.) 21 Sep 2024 16:02:37
He also went on to say that Gruev has been our most consistent player since he made that breakthrough, which is something I pretty much agree with.

17 Sep 2024 21:15:32
Nothing to do with last weekends game, or the one coming up - this is a question for Farsley.

Did we establish who the player was standing behind Bremner?

Cleggy

1.) 17 Sep 2024 23:12:22
No mate, asked various people of different ages and nobody can tell me who the he'll he is. Only thing we seem to agree on is its probably late 70s early 80s transition between the good and dross!

2.) 18 Sep 2024 12:03:10
Oh dear, does one of the Eds know?

3.) 18 Sep 2024 14:19:39
Surprised Baz dosent.
Thought being an oldie he would know.

4.) 18 Sep 2024 16:07:14
Pic quality ain't great Aus

But its definitely a pic taken from a testemonial or charity match in 1978 or 1979.

Seems to be the way of things at the moment - enjoy all the attention and adulation until the moment someone else wins, then throw your toys out of the pram and go off in a sulk.
Bunch of spoilt brats!

Completely agree Aus - it will come probably around the same time it did last season when we went on that fantastic run after Christmas but this year we won't slip up at the end, we will simply move away from everyone:)

Plenty of time still to go guys. Think we will sit in the top pack for a few more weeks then move ahead in the New Year.
