Does anyone know if we are allowed to pick any of the returning loanees for the final three games?

Thinking of Cresswell, Shacks and Hjelde as they won't be involved in the play-offs.

{Ed002's Note - No, they are not available.}

Can we just go straight to penalties as we are awful to watch over 90/ 120 minutes!

Finally looked more lively when Palmer and Eze came on and made the defenders work. Poor performance e overall. again.

If we suceed, we will only succeed in spite of Southgate and his poor management.

Yet again, we have to concede to start playing properly, and play with the personnel who should be starting, with a view to playing from the off, attacking, and winning. Come on, Gareth! Just start with an intention to play the beautiful game from the first whistle, and win in style!

Forget sell on clause with Archie and Brentford.
Let's make it a buy-back clause when they come down next season and we go up:)

1.) 29 Jun 2024 21:10:52
Would AG agree to it?

2.) 29 Jun 2024 21:51:27
Brentford are the real winners in this deal! In 3 years Archie Gray will be worth at least 80 million. Got a feeling that Brentford will be Hijacked before this is over.

3.) 29 Jun 2024 23:11:27
Yep don't think he is Brentford bound.

4.) 29 Jun 2024 23:46:19
All well and good saying on 3 years this or that, Berm, when the reality is the club needed to fulfil PSR obligations and he was the only high profile player we received an actual offer for before June 30. If we had been promoted then that would have eaeed the need to sell off star assets, but we didn't and so it hasn't. Doesn't make it any less disappointing, but that's the position we find ourselves in thanks to last season's failure to get promoted.

The Gnonto offer was seemingly bullsh! t, given SSN never reported anything as such.

Realistically, there's little option for what moves we can make here, unfortunately. Do we risk the wrath of PSR and take a points deduction or do we sell a kid in his infancy in terms of senior football, who represents pure profit to the club and is nowhere near his full potential for a staggering fee? Compounded by the fact that he is the only player we have recieved a legitimate offer for anywhere near that region before June 30.

Fans need to take stock of where we are as a club. We are a Championship club with financial constraints. Something had to give and unfortunately decisions like this need making immediately, not in three years.

Fair, well reasoned, logical points and posts Dill.

6.) 30 Jun 2024 06:19:19
Points deduction will possibly be only four points, so to ask the question is it worth it to break the PSR rules, maybe?!

Forgive me Dilli if you've already mentioned him but the Georgian right back, Kakabadze, looks like a proper defender.
If we want to move Archie back to his natural midfield position and there's no room for Drameh (and God forbid Rasmus! ) , then could do far worse than this lad.

No mate, I've not seen much of him tbf. Generally out of my scope for age range. I tend to track younger players with potential and the odd older player who I've followed for a while.

They looked impressive last night did Georgia. Kvaradona and Mikautadze are quality players. Chakvetadze is someone I might do a profile on. Looked good at Watford when I saw him last season, too.

2.) 27 Jun 2024 09:08:52
With his performance last night he had s now probably out of our price bracket sad to say.

The Tories have got more chance of winning the forthcoming election than England have of winning the Euros!

I was hoping you weren't going to run this competition again this year George, it's an almost impossible task!

So many good posts by so many people (your good self included! )

It pains me to not vote for Brighty, 1970, Aus, Whitey and many more but here goes;

3rd Baz - always thought provoking

In second place I'm going for Woody - the comeback kid

But in first place I've got to go for someone who does his research and always makes the most reasoned posts - Dillinger.

Is this euro song contest or pots?

You sure that’s not Ryan Kent we are trying to sign Alf?

And make sure there's a loan clause correctly inserted into the contract.

Sorry, previous regime! Just couldn't help myself.

Sell now Brighty - don’t want players who don’t want to be here, bad for the dressing room.

Like you say Sweaty, can't see it happening.

However, could you imagine if it had happened this time last year? With his ability to find the back of the net we probably wouldn't be in the place we find ourselves in now!

Thanks Uncle Victor, yet another one that slipped away.

That's not a bad shout Dilli.

There's always a shock announcement, never the person you thought it would be.

Nuno must be top of this pile.

I’d go with Dyche at Everton - but hopefully not too soon, as I want them so much in the mire that no matter who takes over will have no chance of pulling them out of it.

And then Ten Hag, for the same reason as Dyche and Everton but only more so!

Not so much a 1,2,3 more of my favourite to win the race followed by my ultimate wish list:)

I've literally just read that ILK.

An extremely talented player but so injury prone - if he could stay fit then worth a punt but with his previous track record I'd have to say no, regretfully!
