Like us all on here we got away with one last night. I absolutely love Rutters physical energy, including his positivity, but I do get a little frustrated by him overcomplicating things with unnecessary step overs. I noticed on 2 or 3 occasions that a simple square or front pass was the option, but he decides do tricks and loses possession.
Also does anyone else get nervous with Mes playing with the ball at his feet and only releasing it at the last minute.
Moan over its 3 points, and if you can play bad and win it's a sign of a good team. MOT.

Agree Dougie, Mes does make me nervous, he's actually quite good with the ball at his feet but it only takes one slip!
Hopefully the whole squad can rest tired legs and regroup with fresh intensity for Coventry.

Mes has really improved I think. all keepers are ripe for that horrendous mistake, but I feel Mes is no more susceptible that any other these days. The last year in the EPL however was another matter.
The absence of major criticism here is evidence that he has improved; he was topic de jour for a long time!

Mess has improved due to the stabnility and the quality of the defenders in front of him. Last season he had players playing out of position, making terrible decisions and was made to be indecisive due to not knowing what his defence was going to do. His distribution has come on leaps and bounds, still needs work on his communication. Overall, he should be our No. 1 next season as he's earnt it this season with his cruticial saves, at Leics in the dying moments and Leics at home, we could have been 3 down by half time.
Great young keeper we have on our books.

The entire point of subs is for them to have an impact, Baz. So correct impact with those subs from Farke. Op that's definitely not what I am saying about Jimmy, it's more to do with what i see when i watch him play, is it a potential behind the scenes issue that may be affecting him. I really like him as a player, and yes he is certainly one of our best, and to reiterate my post his goals have been invaluable.

Good point raised, I got slated on here a few weeks ago about pointing out his body language and attitude, and I stick to my opinion.
Whilst I like him as a player, and don't get me wrong he has kept us up there with his goals, he is always one touch too much. He hardly every makes the right pass to a player with much more space and time, just tries to bring it on his right foot and shoot. His body language just screams disinterested to me, and maybe he has had offers, but if so you would think it would incentives his game or could it be that they have said you're not for sale at any cost, and like Elivis, he's caught in a trap.

Great post Brighty, it's really nice to hear some refreshing thoughts around this subject.
I always feel there is a misconception about footballers. Yes, some are arrogant and privileged, but there are a large number out there that go to work and just want to go home like tge rest of us. I loved it when Bielsa came in and got the group litter picking, this wasn't necessarily to clean an area. It was to intill realism and for them all to bond and get a sense of togetherness.
I for one feel that DF is very much like that, he almost cones across like a father figure to them after each match, and you can see they are as one.
I for one am happy how this season has gone, promoted or not it's been good and proud to be Leeds.
