Bit of a shock for some, but not too dissapointed Eddie has gone, not added much really, i would rather add another more prolific striker to the ranks such as Adams.

dougie2310

1.) 02 Jan 2020 03:38:50
Eddie is what I would call a fine completer finisher but he can't hold the ball up to a good standard just yet which is a prerequisite for our style of play. We may see him in a Leeds shirt once again in the years to come and once Arsenal are relegated 🤣😜😉😂.

2.) 02 Jan 2020 10:41:35
Unleash Edmondson.

3.) 03 Jan 2020 17:11:00
He needs to be playing off the shoulder of a chapman style player and he’d score a hat full. Funny how when I said he wasn’t a fit I was shot down like the red Barron now no ones really bothered he’s gone.

4.) 04 Jan 2020 11:28:45
Martyn not everyone shot you down, and many that did were shooting down your constant negativity

There are a lot of knowledgeable people on here and I think a huge percentage of them could have written that Eddie would struggle as the lone striker. To play that role takes an amount of physicality and selflessness that the young man just didn't have.

However, most of us just wanted the young man to do well because we like to see next generations flourish, and we actually didn't see him play any role to a significant timescale to fully judge

But that all said, he does have a look of Wallace about him and a big brute of a CF may have let him play some excellent football.

Is white and Harrison loans to buy like Costa anyone know?

dougie2310

1.) 05 Aug 2019 07:05:34
Sadly not.

2.) 05 Aug 2019 09:24:18
Harrison is.

3.) 05 Aug 2019 09:35:44
Harrison just signed a new deal at city, so would cost us big money to buy him. Could only see this happen if we got promotion.

30 Jun 2019 12:02:12
Guys hearing Jack Clarke staying for a year loan, what a piece of business, well done Victor and Radz. With the other add on players so far we are looking very good, being greedy let's have Kent and a striker. 😁.

dougie2310

1.) 30 Jun 2019 12:26:51
Just read same Dougie. Superb news.

2.) 30 Jun 2019 13:00:52
If we bag all the people on the current list of players we are after, we are champions! I can foresee a kit unveiling like the Wilko days with 7 new players posing at ER!

3.) 30 Jun 2019 17:10:16
Not too sure of loaning Clarke back. If we have Harrison and Costa (and a n other) on the wings where will he play?

4.) 30 Jun 2019 18:22:54
Happy to have him there as an impact sub again.

5.) 30 Jun 2019 18:32:17
Leo From the bench like he always does.

6.) 30 Jun 2019 18:50:11
Agree from the bench, not many clubs can say they have a 10 mill bench player, we are onwards and upwards

7.) 30 Jun 2019 19:39:40
The more the merrier. Can’t have enough good players.

8.) 30 Jun 2019 23:23:42
Believe it's initially only until January 2020.

9.) 01 Jul 2019 08:45:01
Wingers crucial to Bielsa's style of play so we could do with having 4 at least.

12 Jan 2019 10:14:06
I see kika Cassila 32 goalkeeper from Real Madrid has a medical booked at Leeds, Would be a tremendous signing.

dougie2310

1.) 12 Jan 2019 21:09:54
Aye, 48 hrs ago.

2.) 13 Jan 2019 16:00:07
. and I also read we are looking at a goalkeeper from Arsenal. Blimey. Now these are statements of intent

Personally I think either would be a help at this stage. I think the burden of being the only first team keeper has been getting to him. Since Blackman went he seems to have not reached his earlier standards.

30 Aug 2018 10:18:29
Lads you heard it here first Izzy Brown joining on season loan from Chelsea attacking player who plays through the middle. don't shoot the messenger.

dougie2310

1.) 30 Aug 2018 10:54:13
12 Aug 2018 08:14:25
Whisper going round we may be getting Izzy Brown on loan from Chelsea. On loan at Brighton last season but been out since January as he tore his cruciate but helped dog botherers get promotion the season before.
Mark Chingontogether

Sometimes a man in a pub may be right, even after 18 days! We'll see .

2.) 30 Aug 2018 12:23:26
Izzy Brown has been pictured arriving at LBA.

3.) 30 Aug 2018 18:11:36
Good signing, taking a risk because of injury record but because of that we’re getting someone who has some premiership game time as well as playing for promotion winners from the Championship. A very Bielsa appointment that gives more options going forward.

4.) 30 Aug 2018 19:09:14
One amazing rumour about Izzy Brown is his supposed salary, 1.3 million! Can that be true! How much of a salary bill are Chelsea potentially carrying with all these “kids” who are still a way off the first team!

5.) 30 Aug 2018 20:50:44
£25,000 per week is £1.3M, give or take a pound or two, which would maybe explain to people on here where all the money has gone, bloody wages. Consider, "only" £5,000 per week is over a quarter of a million, it's a popular conception that most of our first team are making around £15,ooo per week, that's a lot of money over the year innit?

6.) 30 Aug 2018 21:36:33
You’re right Staford, it’s a lot of cash and for a player albeit with a premiership team, but one doing the rounds for championship teams. It’s another argument for having a leaner squad of better quality.

7.) 30 Aug 2018 22:26:28
He has joined now - confirmed.

8.) 31 Aug 2018 08:09:30
To go back to the cash deal, ER sells probably 15000 general tickets every week, 23 times a year if not more with the cup. at 40 quid a pop that's about 15 million quid just on general ticket sales each season. then you've got season tickets, then you've got vip passes, then you've got away games, merchandise, sponsorships, and whatever money the owner invests, 25k a week is becoming the norm for players in the championship unfortunately, hence why if you're on less than that and you're not a bad player, i.e chris wood, you go to a club that can afford to pay you that. its only business. just a shame our club has been wasting that money for so long.

9.) 31 Aug 2018 10:04:49
Wow £25,000 per week in the Championship! I did not know that.

I remember just a couple of seasons ago the talk about Chris Woods and a £15,000/ w salary and thought those sort of figures were huge.

I am with the previous poster, much better idea to have a leaner squad so we can have better quality for the budget

In reality how many players does manager need for a season, taking in account injuries and suspensions? I sometimes think that managers don't give players enough time to show their true form (Klich is a point in case) before discarding and trying the next one. didn't 80's Liverpool become champions in a 40 game league season with about 14 players? Can't tell me that players these days are LESS fit today than beer drinking and smoking players of yesteryear.

10.) 31 Aug 2018 16:02:01
Let's hope his injury allows him to play before the end of the season and not another Roberts.

Just watching the damned utd again, haven't seen it for a few years, had a few beers and saw Mr Hunter's name, takes me back.
I was 6 in 1974 and hooked on leeds when i was given a token from the ESSO garage from my dads mate from Leeds. I'm a southern lad, but Leeds crazy, i am more fanatic now than I ever was, but the names on the film take me back. Hunter, Brenner, Giles McQueen etc. The days when if you were lucky enough to get a top, let alone a kit and play footy on fa cup day with your mates, the away kit way always the hard one to get lol. Yellow admiral away strip always looked great, but tight to wear now though lol.
Nice to reminisce, so if you have some stories guys/ gals please share, only the famous have their histories remembered and they only last a generation. I have just launched a new day in history, it's not a wind up and it's called VAC day, Victory Against Corona, please share this, VE day all over again, but with more beer and less code breaking!
Stay safe, stay in, don't stand so close to me or the police will tell you off and look forward to VAC day when you can visit the road called Elland. X.

1.) 25 Apr 2020 09:00:10
Great memories Dougie - thanks for sharing.

2.) 25 Apr 2020 10:50:02
That took me back Dougie. Watching the Cup Final on tv then running down to the park to play it all over again with your mates.
Our front room was Southish facing so we had to draw the curtains to see anything on the (b/ w) screen. I used to say "hope the neighbours don't think someone has died"

3.) 25 Apr 2020 10:59:40
Straight after the Cup Final win against Arsenal in 1972, we replayed it in our street with a Johnny Giles Target Ball. Anyone remember those?

4.) 25 Apr 2020 12:44:27
Funny, you were so lucky to have a kit in those days, i remember the little flag tags that were used to keep your socks up.

A mate sent me something yesterday man Utd leeds utd the rivalry, a great watch. This is the you tube address, copy, paste, watch and enjoy. let me know what you think

5.) 25 Apr 2020 23:19:18
It is excellent dougie, I didn't realise that in the great days of DR we went so many games unbeaten against them even though I saw many of the games. Still hurts seeing the clips of the Bayern game.

6.) 26 Apr 2020 10:35:31
I actually watched the revie cough interview on you tube straight after the damned utd, a great watch and a dignified man he was.

27 Mar 2020 19:52:28
Debate.
I have had a membership with my son for the last 10 years, didn't get one last year as i had issues getting to games due to work and now can't get one as i didn't get one last year. The club are basing renewals on last year alone and not taking anything before that into concideration. I have been there in the bad times and many have joined based on the last year, anyone else think this is right, i dont.

Thoughts guys, or am I whinging.

dougie2310

1.) 27 Mar 2020 20:15:29
No. Not whinging Dougie. You’re absolutely right.
History of support should play more of a part, rather than some who have just jumped on the wagon.

2.) 27 Mar 2020 21:34:25
not whinging Dougie, well said Bright.

3.) 27 Mar 2020 23:07:42
I'm pixxed right off, used to be able to go to away games regular, can't now due to away season tickets and you need to have attended 15 games the year before. I must say the system is wholly unfair these days.

4.) 28 Mar 2020 09:07:08
Dougie, Even with membership I have had trouble getting ticket for home games, as for away, forget it. Couple of season ago I could get away ticket for most games. Where have all these loyal Leeds fans come from?

5.) 28 Mar 2020 11:02:22
Agree AGM, i don't think the club are being particularly loyal, i even sent an email yesterday explaining, but they said they need to be fair to everyone. Funny because their fair is based on last year. not good.

6.) 28 Mar 2020 17:41:04
Another annoying thing is some of these away season ticket holders don't set foot inside ER plus others who only attend away games.

07 Mar 2020 08:49:57
Guys any live streams for the game today? Please don't give river names, i know its what I would do! 😁.

dougie2310

1.) 07 Mar 2020 09:22:11
What’s up dougie you been banned from going 😂.

2.) 07 Mar 2020 09:38:50
Try hesgoals.com dougie. Usually have to wait until near kick off for confirmation though.

3.) 07 Mar 2020 12:10:49
Cheers Mez, yes tad i have self isolated, so at home with beer, baby oil and a lot of time on my hands lol.

4.) 07 Mar 2020 17:13:13
Worth going for a FB or twitter account purely for streams mate.

29 Feb 2020 09:37:38
I see Hull have released a tweet reminding all to "kick out racism from the game" just as (in their words) a timely reminder. Although I absolutely agree and off the back of Kiko's ban, it's not a very wise thing to poke a bear when they are already very hungry.

I think the team have already had their team talk don't you!

4 nil to Leeds bam bam will get 2.

dougie2310

1.) 29 Feb 2020 10:09:37
Said much the same Dougie (apart from Bamford scoring 2) , time for this club to kick on and stick two fingers up to the haters. God I hope we put Hull to the sword today!

2.) 29 Feb 2020 13:33:35
Me too Mez but the way they are playing in not so sure.

28 Feb 2020 11:13:05
Guys my prediction on the 12th of Feb.
We will do this guys, 14 games left points predictions please?
9 wins
4 draws
1 loss
31 points
87 points total.

dougie2310

Any predictions now guys.

You need to move on you don't know the facts so how can you say Ant refused. He has shown passion and commitment when played and that's all that can be asked of any player. Until I know the facts I won't judge.

To say he is a scum player is bang out of order. You don't know what's happening behind the scenes, when he's put on the shirt he's give his all even though he's been played out of position. Wait and see Jedi
