What is Bielsa talking about when he mentions the 3 big parts of the game? Something about Harrison.

CanadaWhite

{Ed033's Note - Meat and potatoes?

1.) 06 Oct 2019 10:53:55
Canada Venture it's possession, creating chances and sticking them away. Personally, I think he's lost the plot, anxiety has crept in and he's a ripe candidate to enter Martyn's Bexley wing once the Big Fella returns from Lanzagrotty with new Spanish girlfriend in tow.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 11:50:35
Doesn't seem to fit with him talking about red card and penalty. I was assuming it was some refereeing error or something controversial.
I think he's been a breath of fresh air to Leeds but my lord he can't seem to see the wood for the trees can he!
For such a studier of the game I'm shocked he can't understand our repeated failures. Maybe he should watch all of our games from last year again and then it may sink in.

3.) 06 Oct 2019 16:04:51
He turned down a blatant penalty when Harrison had his ankles swept away for him, and waved it away. Just another shocking decision.
So, the 3 big parts were their penalty, Berra’s Red, and the refusal to award our penalty. That’s my take on it anyway.

4.) 06 Oct 2019 17:19:53
Sounds about right.
Really sick of being screwed by refs.
We are more than capable of messing it up on our own!

5.) 07 Oct 2019 06:25:16
No one wants us out of this league we generate too much revenue for the greedy corrupt fatherless children.

6.) 07 Oct 2019 17:09:19
I don't think Bielsa has lost the plot at all. He is a genius and getting 50% more out of the current squad than any other manager would be able to. Problem is most of our players are not up to it.

7.) 09 Oct 2019 16:01:14
You legend alftupper! Post of the month!

Have I missed something? Saiz flew in yesterday and was having a medical this morning and no announcement on him signing. Ekuban can fly in, have a medical and sign in a matter of hours. Is Saiz signed up or is there a delay due to a medical issue?

CanadaWhite

1.) 12 Jul 2017 07:51:06
If alioski signs, surely the 1.6 we spent on sacko would have been better spent elsewhere (towards a cb ? ) . Which players are going to be surplus now, will Dallas, o Kane
Bridcutt, Phillips all still be in the new managers plans, I presume viera will be and the new pole. if siaz signs and Proves to be a success then Pablo could be a great sub to have at times for last 20 in games. anyone actually seen this alioski play (other than u tube clips? )

2.) 12 Jul 2017 09:51:26
I guess these players won't be surplus but having competition for places should certainly make last years players up their game. Which is surely a good thing right?

3.) 12 Jul 2017 10:53:03
Ongoing complications with Athletico rights I'd assume. Saiz isn't being signed from one club, he's being signed from two.

4.) 12 Jul 2017 12:19:40
Can't be that as the deal is done subject to a medical. Hopefully it all goes through as we need the creativity this guy can bring.

5.) 12 Jul 2017 12:45:41
Terms agreed subject to medical but you still have to get all three sets of lawyers to sign paperwork and money to move around.

6.) 12 Jul 2017 13:00:39
I heard he started his medical yesterday evening, probably to be completed this morning. Expect an announcement later today, at a guess.

7.) 12 Jul 2017 13:15:17
Good news Bright. Hope this one goes through.

8.) 13 Jul 2017 14:15:45
Radz has signed the targets so far that we have been trying to get. Gone about it with a patient methodical approach. Time for the doubters to start believing that we are trying to build a good solid squad that will be capable of challenging for promotion. Still think there will be more to come. Reply optimistic for the coming season. MOT.

This is for those who attend ER regularly.
How many of you have ever worked with/ listened to or read about sports psychology?
I had little knowledge of anything to do with it until my youngest was competing at a very high level (it made a huge difference to his performance level, he ranked 6th in Canada and beat an Olympian at 16!) .

I'm certainly no expert but please do a quick google on 'sports psychology negativity from supporters' and see if any of it resonates.
Wondering what the ER atmosphere is like and whether any of you believe our negativity (fans) could be affecting the performance of the team. How does it compare with away games?

I believe Brits in general are negative and us Yorkies are even worse than average so just wondering if we are part to blame!

CanadaWhite

1.) 16 Jan 2020 15:27:30
I’ve only been 3 times but are the supposed beat fans in the land now why our team can let in goals and not score?
Easy. Nobody go.

2.) 16 Jan 2020 15:33:04
I think psychology has a huge part to play and ER is not a place for the faint hearted to play. that is sometimes why certain players fail when they come to Leeds and others flourish.

3.) 16 Jan 2020 15:36:53
Canada, This is a very important and relevant philosophy in sports. The negativity of anticipated bad luck and failure actually helps to create them because it contributes to us not putting our best foot forward. It blocks the flow of positive energy and directs the Law of Attraction to attract negative consequences rather than positive outcomes.
From fans to players to management absolutely 100% it has an effect.

4.) 16 Jan 2020 16:10:51
Aus, luck can cause the initial issue (or simply a mistake or off day) which can affect us as fans and we can then further make things worse by showing our frustration and nervousness.
That's why strikers who are on a roll often continue, confidence. Similarly slumps can go on too long.

5.) 16 Jan 2020 18:10:06
firstly canada well done to your boy that is a real achievement and well impressed!

i posted something a while back the crowd definatly can affect in any sport (and in my industry as well) but it is not just the neigitive i think the positive is just as bad

leeds are going up. top of the league. all puts pressure on the players

i mentioned before wall v brighton, gulls were wining and singing going down. wall sung so are we. the wall players lifted it was like the pressure went. wall won the game and went on a run and stayed up

id like to hear a lot leeds leeds going up and more marhcing on togheter (which must lift the players) and even maybe more leeds falling apart again as it might ease pressure

on another note. cry your eyes frank lampard defiantly lifted derby. he who laughs last and all that.

6.) 16 Jan 2020 19:07:04
I think each player will react differently.
I always do well under pressure, some dont.
We all feel pressure for different reasons.
Dont have answers just generally think positive is better.
For example next time Bamford misses a sitter why not sing:-

'The next one's going in,
Next one, next one's going in'.

Would show belief (even if we doubt! ) And hopefully help confidence.

04 Jan 2020 14:12:37
Good to hear that Messlier and Gotts will get some first team action against Arsenal.

CanadaWhite

1.) 04 Jan 2020 14:47:34
Hopefully most of the 23,s will, not worth jeopardizing injuries to key players now. We all know what we want and I don't think it's the FA cup at this moment in time.

2.) 04 Jan 2020 17:08:21
Anyone know if Edmondson will be on the bench at least? Don't know what this kid has to do try try and get some minutes with the first team.

3.) 04 Jan 2020 18:01:25
Didnt see a mention of the others in Bielsa's talk.

4.) 04 Jan 2020 18:54:06
bogatuz for dallas in the middle is the one for me, think the lad has real class and dallas for all his quality has not lit up that position so that would be the call i'd make with edmondson and stevens coming on with about 20-30 minutes to go to get some game time.

5.) 04 Jan 2020 21:43:04
Agree berm, would like to see Bogusz get a game, he looks decent and worth a try.

6.) 05 Jan 2020 09:10:07
Just like to say Dallas is mr consistency and performs well in every rule he’s given

Be thankful we have him.

02 Jan 2020 21:48:23
I think our and WBAs current position is pretty impressive.
We have a 9 point gap to third. There are then 13 other teams within 9 points of third place!
That's a lot of points that the chasing pack will lose by playing each other.

CanadaWhite

1.) 02 Jan 2020 21:53:27
Indeed

Although . all we need to do is play each game as if comes

No need to worry about anyone else

MOT.

2.) 02 Jan 2020 22:03:43
Canada, I was thinking that earlier today, whilst looking at the table. I think that as the team who has won most games, we deserve to be up there and I feel that as the team who have lost least games (2 of 26) Brom do too. I also believe that the two teams have the best Managers / Head coaches in the division, so I would be happy enough if they came up with us. as runners up obviously. MOT!

3.) 02 Jan 2020 22:13:36
Yes mentioned in earlier post chasing teams will be taking points off one another, all we need to do is win, easy innit. Seriously though i am more confident this time around. Think Jan will be good to us and its an omen our last game is at ER.

4.) 03 Jan 2020 10:41:10
tottally agree if we was any team other than leeds i would not be worried but we are leeds until i see us on match of the day I will be worried.

5.) 03 Jan 2020 11:22:42
For all my hot air, and positivity, I’m not counting any chickens until it’s mathematically confirmed! 5 months of twitchy bum time!

6.) 03 Jan 2020 17:22:07
Positivity slipping now berm?

7.) 03 Jan 2020 18:00:54
of course martyn i saw i am positive then we throw away a lead to cardiff plays awful against preston and defend high balls like a bunch of toddlers in lead padders. i have now withdrawn my positivty until i see mr linkaer say next up we have leeds

in all honestly i think we got a bit more bite and a lot more spirit and hope that will see us oover the line where last year we failed.

29 Dec 2019 14:30:01
Any idea what is wrong with Bamford?

CanadaWhite

1.) 29 Dec 2019 14:50:45
Dead leg in training.

2.) 29 Dec 2019 14:55:30
Dead leg canada! Maybe not a bad thing with all the talk of eddie being recalled this is his chance! Hope he grabs it fully and shows us his full potential.

3.) 29 Dec 2019 14:55:52
He can't score in a brothel.

4.) 29 Dec 2019 14:56:08
Two left feet. lol, sorry.

5.) 29 Dec 2019 14:56:35
Dead leg.

Nice to see a new contract for Klich.
Hope he now gets paid enough to get a decent haircut!

CanadaWhite

1.) 10 Nov 2019 09:10:25
He’s proud of his haircut, because his mam did it!

Too much for him IMO just for a loan.
Use that much as part for Bowen.

How many of those games did Pable miss?
There is an undeniable trend in our results when he is missing.
Hopefully he's good for the start tomorrow and normal service is resumed!

Resale value is there so not a financial risk.
Do we have FFP room to buy now?
If so give us the money QSI and let's just get this done.

Baz,
1) very fair comment albeit countered by the fact the got Bielsa here
2) failed 1 season. 2nd season still promising.
3) agreed. Can't understand edmondson not playing and recruitment needed. Still time, but worried.
4) won't happen when we go up!

Keep the faith guys.

He didn't the refereeing team did.
Why do we always get screwed.
Actual think ref hasn't been too bad apart from that mess up, but by god it costs us again.

Wilks is hardly a replacement for them. One Barnsley goal so far.
Can't see that having any impact.

All is good boys, can't remember the last full league game I saw live where we lost.
Will be tuned in nice and early ready.
We had that nice spell a while ago of winning our early game before WBA played to put the pressure on them. It will happen again tomorrow.
