Nobody seems to have mentioned it on here yet but very strong rumour in Manchester that if Ben White falls through we are in for John Stones. thoughts?

wilsosd

1.) 01 Aug 2020 11:34:47
Lots of whispers about stones on loan to see if bielsa can get the best out of him, unfortunately I think its 1 loan per team and we have Harrison, if we bought wages could be an issue.

I have been told now by 2 different sources granted one a real chancer, though the other has usually been pretty accurate re LUFC but not sure how he finds out, that apparently we are considering Slaven Bilic to replace Heck at the end of the season, anyone else heard this or is it a wind up

wilsosd

1.) 17 Apr 2018 17:38:15
Really hope it's true. 🙏

2.) 17 Apr 2018 18:13:27
Wind up

3.) 17 Apr 2018 22:15:48
Proper wind up! We won't be changing manager. Tho I've been very wrong before!

Mate in Watford has said its being reported down there that Leeds have made an early enquiry about Deeney about a week ago and have been told very firmly he is not for sale. Not sure if I believe it or not but timing seems to fit with what TC was saying after Sunderland game

Just back fromn the game today, distictly average but listened with interest to GMs interview on radio Leeds. Charlie Taylor refused to play in the last game due to agent advise. god give me strength, here is a young man who LUFC have nurtured for what 8 maybe 9 years and a good living to for some one his age for the last 3 and an agent has the gall to say don't play well tell you what CT the club should not pay you until your contract expires, and the fans should know you for what you are; an agents puppet.

leave don't look back and never darken our door again because despite the loyalty we have shown you, you chose to walk away from theis great clun and fans for what. to sit on a bench at somewhere like Bournemouth and when you are found out remember what GM said today on the radio, bad advice make bad career moves happen.

yes your bank account may get a boost but at what cost to your career, benchwarmer seems to fit the bill, sad to say good riddance to greedy rubbish. RADZ get GM signed and continue MC good start business wise MOT

Sour grapes Wilsosd the lad has given 14 years service and was offered a poor contract from Cellino. People don't realise that as a 9 year old at Leeds Academy you don't get travel expenses your parents pay for everything i know from being there as a kid my parents paid a fortune and what happens to all the young lads that are not good enough? they get thrown away like garbage while the club make money off the Talented ones so i have only good things to say about Charlie he is a great lad and deserves a club that will reward his good performances.

Absolutely devastated.
Sad sad day today. After 7 years of medical training and hard work, a good friend of mine has been struck off after one minor discretion. He slept with a patient, someone he knew well ( you could say they were almost best friends) and he can now no longer work in the profession he loves. What a diaboilical waste of time, effort, training and money. A genuinely nice guy and a brilliant vet.

Decided to do a bit of digging and take a look at how Radz has conducted business in the past and there is a pattern, buy and stablise a company, build from within, expand and by expand I mean grow, and significantly for us, NOT always (and that's a majority NOT always) with his own money

Granted football isn't the typical business model he is used to, but I think there are a couple of actualalities and posiibilities that mean we may be missing some important facts and when weighed against the "smokescreen" of FFP it makes some sort of sense to me but then again I am not a multi millionaire businessman

GFH have been I understand paid off at the end of the season just gone and are no longer a burden

Further shares being issued to SF 49RS but a press relaease by them in the States clearly saying that they are NOT interested in a total takeover

The ever present QSI investment, the story that will not go away and that's where I want to expand on the possibilities

Before any possible investment has become concrete, they (in this instance QSI) will (and we have all been here before with our club) have to carry out due dilligence and pass the fit and proper persons test, and that takes time usually 8 to 12 weeks dependent on what is found or not within the accounts, valuations etc) from the story breaking I think we are about 8 weeks in.

Apparently according to "the press" we have completed our incomings and (hopefully the majority of) our outgoings, though that remains to be seen, before the pre-season trip down under and before any suggestion of further significant investment affects player valuations. This also impacts on the due dilligence mentioned above and gives any "investor" a clear up to date position of the clubs standing.

So to start the ball rolling with QSI are we going to be spending our Saturdays at the Qatar Airways Elland Road stadium? Significant back door investment via sponsorship (naming rights) and a minor shareholding? possible and obviously a route taken by other clubs very recently.

Are we in a none disclosure period where due dilligence is being done?, who knows and we will not know until it happens!

So to all the doom and gloom merchants out there I say have a little patience its fairly obvious something is happening but when and what who knows? and we in all honesty we can do bog all to affect it.

Keep calm and in Bielsa we trust.

10 Games to go and sitting second, lots of people stressing about results and us missing out on auto promotion, realistically all we need to worry about is matching or bettering the Blunts results, and comparing the remaining fixtures i think we can do that with ease, what will be even better is if (when) we win next Saturday, heres hoping the 12th Man is in full intimidating voice (not like that ejitt at Brum) and SU bottle it like WBA did. Not bothered what Norwich do let them worry about us. MOT ALAW.

1.) 10 Mar 2019 17:53:45
I've noticed that 🤡 Krul must be on PR duties for the six-fingered farmers 😁 I think that Naaaarwich are feeling unloved and unwanted (well, they are) all the press seems to be about us and the Blunts, suits me down to the ground, we're looking like we thrive on the pressure.

2.) 10 Mar 2019 19:26:27
well said Wilsosd.

3.) 10 Mar 2019 20:14:06
Blunts have lost 1 game in last 14 taking 31 points in the process . We on the other hand have lost 5 . On this form Blunts will overtake us comfortably. Fortunately past performance is not a guarantee of future performance.

4.) 10 Mar 2019 21:19:59
Or, you could say that we've had our late blip, time for the Blunts and the six-fingered farmers to have one 🙂.

5.) 11 Mar 2019 11:13:56
Good post Wilsoed. It is now a 3 horse race. Very very unlikely anybody below 3rd can catch the top 3.
All we have to do is collect the same amount of points as Sheff Utd. We are no longer in a battle with Every team as we were at the beginning. It’s now them or us.

6.) 11 Mar 2019 11:20:42
Spot on Aus, and on top of that we get to play them at Elland Road.

7.) 11 Mar 2019 17:19:46
Wilsosd

That is exactly right. Bound to be a few twists and turns over the next ten games. Let's hope they all twist and turn our way!

30 Jul 2018 14:12:22
So we have terminated our interest in Vydra. or have we? I am just surmising here but Vydra has 18 months left on his contract at Derby, so is Radz playing a clever game of wait til January? see where we are in the league? make a lower bid as player sat in reserves itching to play, may even lower wage demands for first team football. love the pyschology of it all but it is ony the ramblings of an overactive mind. Oh and thinking that perhaps Radz has something of an astute business mind too!

wilsosd

1.) 30 Jul 2018 14:39:26
Never considered this, very good thinking wils. Especially if lamps is looking to replace him suggests he rates other players higher like Marriott and Lawrence, therefore probably likely that vydra won't get much game time unless there are injuries. Saying that though, do we really want a shaky start to the season, and then have to recover it with a panick buy in jan for a player who never really wanted leeds in the first place? Thing I like about bamford is he was straight on the bandwagon with leeds wanting him, there are players in England and Scotland who know how good the fanbase is and how good the club have been. Some of the youngsters like phillips, Harrison, Roberts, ailing, BPF, bamford, could be the core of a great team for the future if they're given the game time.

2.) 30 Jul 2018 14:41:53
Don’t think he ever really wanted to come to us, more of a case of he’s waiting to see if he gets a better offer than us.

30 Jun 2018 14:11:21
So apparently we are after Jamal Blackman as keeper, the same guy who was at the blunts last season, Is he any better than BPF? Surely a more experienced pair of hands is called for. We were solid at the back with Rob Green behind a what was a good centre half pairing, I am not saying resign Green btw just an observation and he was a much more experienced keeper at this level than either Blackman or BPF, my question is is Blackman any stronger than BPF in my opinion probably not

wilsosd

1.) 30 Jun 2018 16:04:13
Personally think we need an experienced keeper, unsure if Blackman is the answer. He did well last season at the blades and will have benefited from having a season under his belt. BPF did well when we needed him but if Felix had been better would be had played for the first team as quickly. We need quality cover in each area and not get caught out like last season.

2.) 30 Jun 2018 17:18:27
Blackman has considerably more experience than BPF, he’s a quality keeper who when he settles and starts playing in the premier, league will be England’s number 1.Just ask any blunts fan about him and they will wax lyrical about how good he was . If he does sign I’m sure you’ll agree in time . In Bielsa we trust .

3.) 30 Jun 2018 17:28:34
Sure you are right Raggity007, be nice to have the luxury of 2 decent keepers on our books this season, bring it on.

4.) 30 Jun 2018 21:09:36
Sky sports news saying players leaving or coming into Chelsea now put on hold until Conti's future as manager is sorted.

To clear 1 point up FD1 Anderlecht are in neither the Champions League or the Europa League, they finished 6th in the Belgian league, let that sink in 6th in Belgium and failed to qualify for Europe. Its Kompany that has scouted Roofe and that's the bottom line. Roofe is going for the money and the prospect of working in Europe no more than that, and i can't fault him, its a short career.
As for the outgoings and the "supposed" profit don't forget we can only lose £ 39 million in any 3 year period, no one outside the club knows the state of play for the last season re the accounts, we lost money over the lat 2 years so there is no guarantee we didn't again and given some of the wages we will have paid it could be significant, yes it hurts to see the "family jewels" being sold off (and some of the other detritus too) but let's not knock the club for running the business within the rules god knows the EFL would love us to break FFP i dread to think what our punishment would be compared to others. We may be surprised with a couple yet to come in though I doubt it until January anyway, and i still think there is mileage in the QSI link it isn't going away especially in the Arabic and French press.

Hardy, why are you here? obviously not a Leeds fan and from your opinions I would suggest you are trying to bait the fans who use this site, guess what we have seen, heard and read it all before, out of everything you have posted the only one that may hold water is possibly Wood to the dog botherers, that's up to who ever we get as the new manager/coach, Monk whilst offering stability lost his way and was too predictable, as for being as you put it SKINT what's new we're used to it. Marching on

Where will Charlie be if there is no interest? (unlikely I know) Refusing to play would make him look silly then wouldn't it, Champions League or Non League?

There is what I think is a simple solution to the Neutral ground arguement from the bottom 6, simple use the bottopm 10 teams grounds as the neutral venues and let them play their remaining home fixtures there, this eliminates the argument about "home advantage" for them and allows for relegation etc The title is all but decided so that argument is moot.
The 1 caveat I would impose on these teams is they are responsible for security and policing costs should fans chose to "turn up" to games.

wilsosd

{Ed001's Note - the issue seems to be more about the FA's desire to make money from this by charging the teams to play at Wembley or St George's Park. I believe that is the thing that is irritating a lot of people.}

Why do people post about stuff they know bog all about? yes you are entitled to your opinion, but PLEASE none of us with the odd exception (not me) know the ins and outs at ER! So WHAT if we have made money from transfers?, we have also spent money on transfers and what most people forget LOAN PLAYERS, and yes we may have surplus money from said transfer activity, but factor in wages, improvements at ER and at Thorpe Arch, the apparent AVERAGE year on year losses by Championship clubs of circa £ 15 million each and that surplus soon disappears.

So put yourself in ARs position. You own LUFC and have ambitions to get promoted, and yes you may have considerable personal or business wealth behind you, however are you prepared to become the next Ridsdale at our club and plunge us back in to the even deeper reaches of obscurity or would you take a longer harder look at things and take a little time to build something that is capable of achieving the end goal of promotion? as a businessman in possession of an asset that is already attracting some interested investors/ buyers I know which approach I would favour.
Being a life long LUFC fan isn't easy but its a damn sight easier than running/ owning the club and handling the expectations of the fanbase when their expectations are high but their knowledge of the day to day costs of running the club are woefully lacking.

Agree about the size of the squad but guys surely Bielsa has spoken to the likes of Pep, Poch et al and had a very good idea of the challenges before he even set foot in England, you don't become what appears to be a world figure in football (going by the number of foreign journalists at ER yesterday) without knowing what you are getting yourself in to

He ain't no Hock he's my Bielsa!

Leodis the FCO advise STRONGLY against unnecessary travel to Myanmar and if you do decide to ignore that advice then to avoid the majority of the country with the exception of the area around the capital city. To say peope are jumping on a bandwagon is out of order, in excess of a million people displaced, many thousands killed, I personally saw ethnic cleansing first hand in Bosnia and have to say I for one condemn the club for going and will not support this "tour" in any way it is just plain wrong in so many many ways, unless you have lived through it or seen it and I don't mean on the TV please don't comment from ignorance
