if massimo is leeds then let's see him interview some class people on bbc preview Tony Pulis was heard to say he is looking for a job that would be progresive and maybebe we fit that criteria if massimo will give him some reins. just a thought guys but well worth a punt (money maybe a problem)

1.) 26 Oct 2014
Pulis would be a god send. proven time and time again. don't think we would get him but think it would be safe to assume he would get us up and keep us up

2.) 26 Oct 2014
Didnt Pulis leave Palace because of the board interfering though? I think he could/would be great for us and exactly what we need BUT I can't see him even considering us. he'll wait for a prem club and 1 that allows him to manage the team 100%.

We've got Redders now, he did himself no harm earlier this season, the players seem to respect him and respond to him, let's see what he can do and give him the full backing he deserves

MOT

3.) 26 Oct 2014
Love redders and will support him 100% pleased he has got job. I know a coach at palace and apprently he left becuase affordable tagets got away due to lack of movement by board then they blocked dearer options leaving hands tied. pulis would not touch mc with barge pole still redders will and good luck moving forward with a better option than darko and jokeaday

And here we go just as I said weeks ago. People have been crying out that we play football. we now play football not hoof ball. but now those same people are wanting pulis who can only play hoof ball?

WTF

5.) 27 Oct 2014
Spain
My daughter plays at Stoke from the first team down to the youth team they were rejoicing when pulis got the push. He strangled the players, his tactics we're defend defend defend and long ball on the break NO thanks for me :(

I fail to understand how anyone on this site can not appreciate the current manager of the year when the professionals clearly do. Maybe you all know more than the people who made Pulis manager of the year? Stoke have no right being happy that Pulis has gone without that man and that man alone they would still be a poor team not a Prem team. No we do not have to like his style but everyone must agree the man is a genius. He makes every team and player do better than they should. Leeds must be the only club in Championship who would not want Pulis as manager as the other clubs understand he would bring great chance of promotion and staying there. Then again I also read some silly fans say they do not want Leeds to go up this season using suspended logic (we will be better for it next year. ). I am not a fan of Pulis style I am a big fan of relative success and would love Leeds to have some relative success which would be Leeds in Prem ASAP

{Ed001's Note - Pulis is not the main reason Stoke are in the Prem at all! The one man who has the most responsibility for where they are is Peter Coates and his money. Not Pulis or anyone else. It wouldn't have mattered if they had Mourinho without Coates money they would still be in the lower leagues.}

Andy my Fiencee played professional football for a number of clubs including England and knows a few players at Stoke be very interested to know your duaghters name as my fienacee while not at the club said quite the opposite from what you heard. Also Spain and Andy please just realise what you have said is this. No I do not want the current manager of the year. Yes the pro's think he is currently the best in the country, yes he did wonders at Stoke and kept Palace up when they were dead and buried. The pros may rate him highly but no not for me for he plays hoofball. sorry can't get my head round that statement WTF

{Ed001's Note - Pulis was sacked because he lost the players, that was direct from a number of players at Stoke who told me themselves.}

8.) 27 Oct 2014
Great point about Coates of course he is great chairman with club at heart. Of course I think pulis did well because Coates did not supply the same amount of money as most of Stokes Rivals in prem. Wondering Ed what is your take on current Manager of the year? I agree with the pros last year no one did as good a job as Pulis what's your views. Also wondering your take on Henderson's dive? I am by no means a millwall fan but was there when Wise took a dive and scored a pen the wall fans all booed him for weeks on end which is one thing I respested Millwall fans for. This all said great point about coates. I always say manager is most important person but I forget about chairman, look at all recent clubs who have risen to do well. all have great chairmen with out expection IMO

{Ed001's Note - Coates did not supply the same amount of money? Hmmmm you clearly don't know how much money his group has pumped into the club over the years. They were spending enough. And yes, the chairman or CEO whatever, is the most important thing, they have to know when to back, when to sack and when to do neither but just wait and see.
As for manager of the year, yes he deserved it for his short term impact, but you only have to look at his attitude when he wasn't given huge amounts of money to spend in the summer to know that he is not the right man for Leeds.
Hendo's dive was embarrassing, for me diving is cheating and it should be called cheating. I would have each dive retrospectively deemed a booking offence, unless the player was booked in the match. A few bans would soon see it reduced to a manageable level as clubs couldn't afford to keep losing players for that.}

9.) 27 Oct 2014
I do not know exactly how much coates put in but look at qpr put in lots and still went down. Stoke did spend a lot but I think spend per point would probably be as good as any team while under Pulis and probably better than some clubs such as Spurs for obvious example. I agree Pulis left and from what I have been told by someone high up at Palace he did the right thing as they didn't move fast enough for cheap options pulis wanted then blocked the more expensive back up options and Pulis felt his hands were tied which as your rightly say shows he is not the right man for Leeds. I would love Pulis for England and wished he was manager for last world cup. No our football may of been more dull but I am sure our defence would of been better orgainsed and we would of done better than 1 point from three games IMO but then I have wanted alladce for England for years. I am big fan of any manager who makes teams overachive which is what I think they both do year in year out. I agree about diving and handball's Henry's one against Ireland for obvious example. Like you I agree banning is the only way to stop it. I think diving deliberate handball etc should be met with minimum ten game band for ovbious examples I understand some might be grey area and harder to call but if obvious ten game ban. I think the ref should ask the player and if the player lies lying to ref should get at least ten games. I know it might be harder to call but with some it would be easy if a law was put in place, Imagine if ref said to henry against ireland did you hand ball it. henry would lie knowing he would miss whole world cup or have to be honest. Same when Harry Kewell dived against Derby we won that game but Kewell would of missed next ten games.

{Ed001's Note - Pulis and Allardyce overachieve by cheating, that is why they would be useless in international football. They instruct their players to put in niggly, nasty fouls that would be pulled up at that level. They would also struggle, just as they do at club level, when playing against the top sides, they can't handle quality teams. They achieve by beating lesser teams due to kicking them off the park in the main. It doesn't work at the highest level, which is why teams like Chelsea batter them usually. Allardyce is changing this season to suit the fans and the team is prospering as a result.
As for QPR, Fernandes is clueless, as he has shown with his destruction of Caterham and QPR. He doesn't understand how to use his money when the decisions are down to him.}

10.) 27 Oct 2014
See your point but believe Alladice's Bolton use to regualry trouble utd when top team. Also city on sat. Not sure pulis did well against top team but think alladice's teams often do. Also my point started with points over style. Like rotherham against us we played the football they got the points also look at newcastle yesterday spurs have all the pomp and pagentry but newcastle played long ball for 1st goal 2nd was a cross. love it when teams like saints play passing ball and do well but if not possible I would be all for niggly nasty wins if that was the choice between pretty loses. Of course that said I understand the choice is not that clear cut but some people on here have suggested they would rather play pretty even if it cost us a few points. I do not understand that idea. A few have also said they wouldn't want us to go up, again I do not understand that. Love the pretty teams but respect the ones that over perform no matter how it is done. My team once won a cup against a far better team we did that with grit and determination, we got one goal then defended for our lives then hit long ball and won 2-0. the other team were classier and better but we have the cup and I am looking at my winners medal as we speak. If you can't win pretty just win, bit like dirty leeds use to

{Ed001's Note - Allardyce's Bolton and every other team he has managed regularly used to roll over and let United tickle their belly! He was one of Fergie's mates because of it.}
