As I'm posting the Myanmar team has just been released and I must say that has cheered me right up. If that doesn't tell you that they're properly assessing the assets that we have then I don't know what does. Interesting that saiz is on there, might that be his last few games for leeds? good to see ailing there too tbh he needs the game time and fitness. ekuban and grot will propbably be judged in terms of 'are you able to be a first team player, if not, look elsewhere' and the rest is just about youth players. I think hecky will say that they need to prove theior worth. players like shackelton, diaz, machuca, nicell have got a pretty good opportunity here if you ask me, yes its only 2 games. But it makes you wonder where players like sacko, cibicki, anita, even berardi who I thought would be there considering he can actually play, are in the pecking order. Really do hope this is a good signa dn it will divide those who still need more youth development from those who are ready to make the step up. Praying that dalby and Edmondson do some damage and really give hecky a headache with selection. This its a pre pre season job this, bit of a wind down, and I actually quit elike the idea, just a shame about the location and who were actually coming up against. personally think he'll play 2 completely different teams. Something along the lines of: BPF, ailing, rey, struijk, denton, phillips, shackelton, Clarke, saiz, grot, dalby. Lonergan, Hosannah, oconnor, diaz, pearce, Vieira, nicell, gomes, machuca, saiz, edmondson

Thanks Samo. Where are, O'Kane, Alioski, Sarkic and Halme I wonder. Also is that Lonners as back up to BPF as no sign of the two young goalies.

I think sarkic is injured, shame kun isn't there too. Not sure about the situation on halme, and personally I see okane and alioski not being there due to having played a full season (despite it being a full season of terrible performances) I think he's saying to rest them for a couple of weeks, hopefully okane will be out the door soon enough andyway, and alioski to follow in January if he doesn't pull his finger out

Shows how little you know, Alioski been one of our better players ( accept not amazing but better) . Given more for the team each week than any other!

Have to agree with Phillg, O'Kane would be first on my list of released players. Alioski? I like him, puts a lot of tackles in, scores a few, a 100%ER.

Sarkic and Hame both injured. Not going to learn much from this trip really. Maybe how to treat malaria quickly and effectively.

Totally agree Phil and AL re alioski. Never stops running, never stops trying. After a real pre season, and his first season in the English leagues, I think we will have a real quality player in the side.

Hopefully youll all prove me wrong! he's very athletic yes and has a skill element to his play, his decision making and strength aren't the greatest though. He was played on the left wing and up front for lugano and scored 17, played on the right and left wing for us and has returned 7 with 5 assists. That's okay for a first season I guess, I think I just expected a bit more with him being dubbed 'mahrez's replacemenet at Leicester' last season before he came to leeds. who knows?
