Rumours aren't that Chris wood has signed for Burnley for £15m. Good news is, Christiansen has reinvested this in a new jacuzzi and gym, and is putting his boots back on and playing as a player manager.

The latest news of mid week: FROM I understand saiz is all but done, a real talent, fee reportedly £3.1m. Alioski has gone quiet, there were rumours linking him with fiorentina late last week, this may Have cost us? Felix Wiedewald is a new one. Goalkeeper from werder bremen in bundesliga. SImilar level to green with space to grow at 27. 500K fee agreed allegedly. Mario Pasalic the latest. Only a loan signing from Chelsea but previously at AC Milan and wanted by Valencia, could be a talent for us if we get him in. Plays attacking midfield or on the wing Durnisi from the Spanish first division is a left back we're looking at to replace Taylor. Highly rated and potentially expensive at £5m. Wanted by Liverpool but he may choose us for game time? Who knows. THE thing I like about it all most is that there is ambition in the signings and we aren't selling to be able to fund purchase. This to me suggests we have money and TC will complete most of his ins before players leave us. Good to have an abundance rather than a shortage.

1.) 28 Jun 2017 13:34:12
good summary Samo and I agree with you - exciting times and definitely trying to sign quality rather than rubbish.

2.) 28 Jun 2017 13:30:46
With abundance comes a wage bill. Always nice to have depth and options but I am always cautious following our previous demise and financial issues - like the ambition but really hope it's all for a longer term goal and not a fast buck. Also hope that we can continue to support it as the promising youngsters start demanding more! You can only have 11 on the field and the rest can't all sit on the bench! That all sounds negative and probably is but only because I don't want us scratching around for players and wages to pay them if it all goes belly up😁 I am really excited about some of the players coming in, but yet again we don't seem to be looking at back - where we really do need to invest for depth. Early days and looking forward to see what pans out👍🏻👍🏻MOT

So the new mans in and his targets are being made clear already. Mateusz Klich - central mid. £2m bid suggested after having initial £1.5m rejected. Alioski- Right wing/Striker. £2.6m bid lodged waiting for a response. Prolific last season scoring 17 goals and 14 assists in Swiss league. I like the sound of this one but what happens with roofe and sacko. Samu Saiz - striker/ attacking mid. 12 goals and 8 assists in second Spanish division last season. Eibar have made a bid but we're looking to steal for £3m. Similar player to pablo but about 8 wars younger. Also been rumoured by the sun and Steve Evans that Leeds have about £20m budget for this summer to rediscover a promotion bid. Probably false as we'd need to buy the stadium first and rads has discussed this. However he may be making a gamble on security of promotion this season to fund a development of ER next year. Thoughts about this?

Samowhite5

1.) 21 Jun 2017 16:48:32
TC prefers a 433 formation and with Roofe able to play LW and ST it could actually help him, Roofe-Wood-Alioski, that said I would rather bring in a LW as I don't think Roofe will score enough (perfect time to bring Mad Max back) .

Sacko would take a hit but it might do him good to have someone like Alioski to learn from and compete with for that place. The strange one for me is Saiz, I don't see how Hernandez fits into a 433 as is so why bring in a similar player. £20m might not be far off the mark, we expect to get £5m for Taylor, would expect to pick up a couple more mill from clearing out some of the unwanted players, talk of another £5m if schmeichel swaps clubs, running costs are down, ticket sales up, etc.

As for ER it doesn't count towards FFP and Rad is wealthy enough to buy it back (a loan from his personal account to his business account that will then be paid back over time if I had to guess) .

2.) 21 Jun 2017 18:54:51
It all sounds exciting doesn't it

3.) 21 Jun 2017 21:31:29
Does that £20m include the £5m for Sacko and Pontus?

4.) 21 Jun 2017 22:14:09
Or is it smoke and cloaks to throw you off the scent? Best register a sitting with mystic meg ;)

5.) 22 Jun 2017 00:16:17
Yes I believe it does but that should be made up like it's been said before through Taylor, players like Erwin, bellusci, silvestri all leaving. I'd also expect to see a big bid for wood in the coming days ladies and gents. He's happy here so serious money would have to turn his head, off knows though may still be banging them in and all of a sudden he's got 15 by January and £20m steals him. let's hope not but that's a huge amount. Similarly he may only get 10 all season, hence the purpose for signing some new talent and getting rid of the likes of antonsson or possibly douk? Pre-season to start Monday with a few arriving late, but it'll be interesting to see who comes and goes

6.) 22 Jun 2017 09:11:47
Wow no way I didn't expect Chris wood to attract attention :o but it's ok he's happy here so when a premiership team comes knocking he will say no I'm happy at Leeds lol stop kidding yourself, Chris wood will be wanted by quite a few teams and he will leave if he gets a chance of playing in the premiership whether that's at Southampton or Huddersfield he won't care because right now they are all better than Leeds united.

13 Jun 2017 11:31:29
Question for you all regarding antonsson. Do we sell him? I know he was given around 10/12 games to show his worth last year and £1.2m isn't cheap, but if we were to sell him he'd go for roughly the same I think. My fear is that he signs for somebody like Cardiff, Bristol, Forrest, for cheap, then scores 20 odd goals because they give him a chance, would this be something you'd regret?

I think we wait until the manager comes in, let him chat to the players, see what they're made off, spend Pre-season shuffling about and then decide on who to sell, perhaps even leave it until January?

I know he didn't prove his worth but he showed glimpses in my opinion, his record in the Swedish league was good but if he needs to compete we need to start seeing it. Would you hold on to him or would he be one of your first out the door?

Samowhite5

1.) 13 Jun 2017 12:00:09
I don't think he was given a fair shot last season at all, I'd Definately give him another season.

He should be settled in and a full pre-season with the squad could open new doors for him.

Never understood why when we was struggling for goals we never looked towards Antonsson or even tried one of the academy lass (baring Sutton of course) .

Certainly for the money we paid I'd give him another chance, a different manager might see what Monk didn't.

We weren't the only team interested in him by far when we signed him so we should give him another try.

2.) 14 Jun 2017 12:26:21
New on here, yes we need new manager asap.but sick of hearing we've missed out on this or that player.Says Who.new boss might not won't any of the players Phil Hay,wants.

08 Jun 2017 22:17:42
Jaap STAM by 5/2 suggests to me he's been interviewed. Good links with good teams but not a person I'd Be keen on

Samowhite5

1.) 09 Jun 2017 12:39:21
why would he leave Reading for us anyway? what would he gain?

2.) 09 Jun 2017 13:08:22
Bigger fan base, bigger stadium, better quality of players, better scouting network.

3.) 09 Jun 2017 13:36:40
Bigger fan base yes, stadium is bigger (but there's is better) , scouting about the same I'd say, quality of players? well they finished third so that is open for debate, granted the mule like manager didn't help us last year, but still!

4.) 09 Jun 2017 14:03:44
Jaap Stam would probably be a good choice, but then there's that Man Utd link!

5.) 09 Jun 2017 14:07:54
If we are so much better than Reading, how come they made the play-offs and we didn't. Meanwhile back on planet Earth!

6.) 10 Jun 2017 11:33:44
You all saw why we didn't make the play offs and we all put it on one mans head. If these great defenders in Hanson and Bartley were so great we'd have seen out the season properly, wood carried on scoring fair enough, but tactically we were poor, that's why we didn't make the play offs. STAM wouldn't let that happen to us, but I'm still not sure I want him. Phil Parkinson for me

7.) 10 Jun 2017 18:54:53
Johnny Giles had a link to that shower too

Team and score predictions for tomorrow please gents? 2-0 for me, lassoga and saiz with the goals. Starting 11 I think will be wiedewald, ayling, jansson, coops, CBJ (rest Anita) Phillips, Okane, alioski, saiz, Dallas, lassoga. I'd rest Hernandez and roofe based on the amount of time they've had over the other two recently, Hernandez can come on for saiz if he's looking tired, or Dallas if he's not performing, likewise roofe can change things on the right or up top. Alioski was rested as I think Christiansen new that this was a harder opposition. CBJ will be whipping them in I can feel it, back stick and headed goals will be likely IMO with them playing 3 At the back. I think tomorrow will be a much more reserved and ruthless performance with a very much 'job done' feel about it, not a classy Winn but a win.

Samowhite5

1.) 12 Sep 2017 07:13:03
Hernandez and roofe have both just had 2 wks rest!

2.) 12 Sep 2017 10:59:41
I'd go for no changes to starting 11 last Saturday . Then bring in Alioski for Pablo on Saturday at Millwall. 3-0

3.) 12 Sep 2017 16:17:38
Really difficult to call the team tonight, might depend on how Pablo felt after Saturday, he might be old and wise enough to fancy a rest, I should imagine that Roofe will want to stay on the pitch, given his scoring form. Also Lasogga might have too dash home at the last minute, something in the oven! We might see Kilch getting a start soon as well, as both Phillips and OKane are putting in some shifts. A win for us, tougher challenge and possibly a brum goal, 3/1.

31 Aug 2017 10:40:36
Esteban cambiasso has been strongly linked with Leeds this morning! I am praying

Samowhite5

1.) 31 Aug 2017 14:03:38
He's 37, not what we need if building for the future.

10 Aug 2017 09:40:16
Excellent performance last night, but one thing that has gone unnoticed I feel is the absence of douk sea. I know he wasn't great last season but he was an expectancy on the team sheet. With Dallas and roofe stepping up and ekuban coming in, do we feel doukara isn't in TC's plans anymore? He's a great lad but not such a great performer, if we're playing like this he will soon be forgotten about. Hopefully he steps it up in training, if not it's a long way back. Also realised today with a fully fit squad we have 2 very able starting XI in our ranks, which of these would you prefer? 1/2 1- wiedewald, ayling, jansson, Pennington, berardi, okane, Phillips, alioski, saiz, roofe, wood. 2- green, anita, cooper, shaughnessy, BJ, Vieira, Klich, sacko, Hernandez, Dallas, ekuban. Strength in depth all over!

Samowhite5

1.) 10 Aug 2017 10:15:35
Very early days but yes we look to have a real couple of crackers in Saiz and Ali. Ayling, Viera Dallas, bj and even bridctt played well last nite . Also a mention for EKU . T C has a selection headache .

2.) 10 Aug 2017 10:15:52
Bridcutt, Doukara, P Farrell, Gomes Ant and the 2 boys out on loan Coyle and Denton . We have also strengthened the U23 . Still think we need C Back and another striker . to cover injuries at the back and speed up front ?

3.) 10 Aug 2017 11:23:28
Douks not good enough for the level we need to be at

4.) 10 Aug 2017 13:48:31
its such a long season we need at least 2 players for every position to cover for injuries, suspensions and general weariness. i think we will see a few changes as we go through the season and everyone will get their chance at some point. up to them if they take it.

5.) 10 Aug 2017 14:28:47
I disagree Wex. Douks is by no means a Wood but he has demonstrated he can be a real handful last 25 minutes of a game once the play has opened up. He's best played in a wing role or as striker late on in games. Anyone who can hit a volley like that has talent. At the moment I'd have him higher up the pecking order than Sacko.

6.) 10 Aug 2017 19:07:53
Sorry George just I think we have better douks never impressed me just my po

08 Aug 2017 23:52:18
Predicted 11 for tomorrow: Green, Anita, Ayling, Cooper, BJ, vieira, Brid, Sacko, Saiz, Dallas, Wood. Thoughts? Preston game in mind here so quality and fresh legs are considered

Samowhite5

1.) 09 Aug 2017 03:13:44
My 11 would be. Green. Ayling, cooper, shaunaghsey, Anita, Dallas, viera, klich, brid, saiz, wood . or TC could change all 11 from Bolton game. Either way. A win is all we want. MOT 👍⚽️😃

2.) 09 Aug 2017 03:18:27
I wouldn't play brid or sacko. they've only played 1 game. can't see them needing a rest yet. Preston should be easier than vale.

3.) 09 Aug 2017 07:17:43
Team vs Port Vale, I would keep Felix the Cat in goal to give him another game and to help him settle in the side. Defence, BJ and Anita, Cooper and Shaunessy, rest and protect Ayling. Midfield, Sacko and Dallas, Saiz, Okane and Viera, striker, Ekuban, a chance for a longer run out.

4.) 09 Aug 2017 07:46:13
Preston should be easier than Vale ? What a load of nonsense Ausman

5.) 09 Aug 2017 08:55:50
Id be tempted to play Ekuban as well to help him settle in to the team. How about Ant from the bench? maybe a different formation with Ekuban and Ant up front and Roofe in the hole just behind?

6.) 09 Aug 2017 10:24:10
would like to see wood on bench as super sub that way we can keep him until Preston . Green O'Sha, Anita, saiz, dallas, Viera, brid, klith, eub, Cooper, and Cam to start . Hopefully we can rest a few players, let's face if they can not beat Vale then there not going to be much use to us the rest of the season.

7.) 09 Aug 2017 11:00:00
Whatever the team is, I hope the Vale manager gets a good reception.

8.) 09 Aug 2017 11:54:19
Anybody know if it's going to be shown anywhere? Obviously it's not on Sky Sports or BT.

9.) 09 Aug 2017 11:55:59
I'd put Ayling in at centre, Anita on the right and the new kid Bjay on the left. Shaugnessy is a big lad but, they'd be looking to put him under pressure.

10.) 09 Aug 2017 12:02:15
Anybody know if it's been shown anywhere? Obviously not on Sky or BT.

11.) 09 Aug 2017 13:49:30
lutv if you are outside the UK?

12.) 09 Aug 2017 15:13:27
Green, Anita, Rey/O'Connor, Cooper, Borthwick-Jackson, Vieira, Klich, Dallas, Saiz, Sacko (rubbish the other night, hopefully a bit of game time will sort him) , Ekuban. Would also like to see one of Siddiki or Temenuzhkov on the bench and maybe given a run out if we are a couple of goals to the good.

13.) 09 Aug 2017 17:25:02
Notts Ausman doesn't talk nonsense. He is nonsense.

27 Jul 2017 18:08:37
Posted yesterday about my opinions on players and didn't get much result but not to worry I'll do as I promised, I know my fans are keen 😂 Think I'll move on to right back in today's article 🙄. For me it's ayling all the way, the lads a bargain for 500K, Best Buy from last season by a mile for the value. There are alternatives though which TC has considered. Anita could play there and has done with moderate success, and previously been very highly rated there.

I like him and he's very good at reading the game, good passer of the ball too, may start there against Bolton. Thirdly it's berardi, for me this ones a little less likely as he's more important for LB cover, so for that reason I'd say he's out of the question, unless we decide to sign a LB then he's probably guaranteed that spot over Denton. What are your thoughts?

Samowhite5

1.) 27 Jul 2017 19:15:22
I'll reply so you don't feel like Billy no mates. It's Berardi for me. Or Ayling but Ayling can shuffle across when needed

2.) 27 Jul 2017 19:47:03
Grimes for me or cooper. you know how much I love cooper! I'd go with those two, though Pontus was a bargain, more expensive but still a bargain

3.) 27 Jul 2017 20:44:51
Said last year that Berardi was probably the superior RB but Ayling gets forward better. Looking at how TC wants us to play, with width, pace and FB's running beyond the wingers, Ayling is a no brainer for me.

4.) 27 Jul 2017 21:24:06
Cura. Your choices are spot on. Solid reliable and can count to never out a foot wrong. 😜👍⚽️😃

5.) 27 Jul 2017 21:24:27
Ayling all the way by the way. 👍👍⚽️😃

6.) 27 Jul 2017 22:07:17
Cheers lads, blood from a stone😂 Got to say cooper is a strong contender. Heard grimes is going to spurs to replace walker for £43m, performances in a Leeds shirt justify the price tag

7.) 27 Jul 2017 23:24:45
Chris white or Kevin herd for me

8.) 27 Jul 2017 23:48:54
A bargain samo, I heard barrow was going to west h to replace fletcher for £75m

9.) 28 Jul 2017 00:10:01
I would play berahdi. Ayling. Pontus. And one other. In what ever position suits. Berahdi as r or lb and ayling as rb or cb

10.) 28 Jul 2017 08:51:42
I found your original post a bit confusing tbh! In the RB berth it's Ayling for me.

11.) 28 Jul 2017 09:08:02
Aus Berardi has to be LB, just to keep bermo entertained

I'd like to see the money spent for the sake of the fans, because I'd like somebody proven. But similarly performances of late are making me think we don't need to worry about a new striker. I think we'll regret it though if the goals dry up and we don't have an out and out number 9

I'm of the same opinion, as long as we don't go behind I'll be happy, shock result from milwall in the week against qpr but they're nowhere near our footballing quality. I can see it being 2-1 or 3-1 to Leeds, shame really as you want to keep as many clean sheets as possible but felix is miles ahead of anybody else in that leaderboard right now. Still 3 points and other to drop points but no clean sheet, can't have it all.

I love the signing, think he'll do well, better than oliviera but realistically, billy sharp would bag 20 in this Leeds team. I don't have a worry with how he's going to play, it's the fact that it is only another loan, which suggests to me 2 things: 1. We may lose him after a good season as Hamburg may want him back after rediscovering form
2. We are not done in the window, as everything so far has been long term. IMO lassoga will be completed already and announced tonight if not before lunch tomorrow. Currently I think orta will be contacting everybody he knows and doing everything he can to attempt to find another talent, and no more than £8m will be spent but we will see the benefit. Whoever he is, I don't think he will have been linked yet, and it will all unfold tomorrow. I am excited, these owners are keeping us guessing and waking up Leeds, I'm dying to know what they've got up their sleeve. Radz won't settle for going into the season with 2 fully fit strikers. We had 4 2 weeks ago, I expect us to have at least 3 including lassoga and grot. MOT BOYS GET READY.
