How can we have had 4 substitutions?

alftupper

1.) 19 Sep 2017 22:42:56
New rule introduced, if it goes to extra time the teams can make a 4th substitution. Only if the game goes beyond 90 mins.

2.) 19 Sep 2017 23:48:15
Never mind that- what about the new penalty format?

3.) 20 Sep 2017 07:37:28
Supposed to even out the pressure on both teams. Wasn't the first time that it was used tho.

4.) 22 Sep 2017 13:37:32
I think it got introduced after Lewie Coyle got injured v Norwich and we had to play ET with 10 men.

We are interested in signing Argentinian striker Emiliano Buendia from Getafe in January. He is 20 years old and currently loaned to Cultural Leonesa so it may be another of those where we buy him and develop him at Cultural.

Leeds are reportedly preparing a January bid for 22 year old Orlando City striker Cyle Larin. Rumoured to be £2m and found the onion bag 43 times in 85 games over the last 2.5 seasons.

The aisian player we are trying to sign is Japanese international midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi apparently. Scored 7 in 86 for current club and netted for Japan last week.

Nessy has been given a new contract keeping him at the club until 2021. Well deserved imo - he has been brilliant and this will also prevent clubs from sniffing around and getting him for next to nowt. Good move by the club.

He said exciting times ahead for this massive club! Legend?

2.) 21 Sep 2017 15:55:22
Yes now I would love to see and I believe we will see Luke A given extended deal !

Well done all the lads tonight - tremendous effort and cool penalty taking. Can tell none of the spot kickers were English!

Shows that TC knows his stuff

What does everyone think about Felix the cat now? one good thing that came out of Satdi's game for me was that he got a bit more to do and that should help him to get used to the league as well. I wasn't convinced at all in the first half he seemed to be dropping everything but then he made some good stops in the 2nd period from what i could determine (listening to the game not watching it btw) . Thoughts overall?

Naive from Leeds today. We won't always be given space and time and need to be smart enough to Change and adapt for this type of game. Learning curve for TC and the new lads but we have to plan better for this kind of game. Maybe a few a bit tired today as well. For me, loads of changes for Tuesdays game to give some key men a rest. Still top, still a great start. We march on. Together.

1.) 16 Sep 2017 19:40:30
Showed the need for a centre back all in my opinion

2.) 16 Sep 2017 20:28:44
Tired is no excuse. don't like hearing that one I'm afraid. these guys are fit as, and should see out the whole season. we sounded simply poor today. But this is a tough league, and as others have said, there are going to be blips. We move on, together.

3.) 16 Sep 2017 21:08:35
If we're tired 8 games in we're shugged

O'Kane and Saiz were both outstanding. Pontus played well after a nervy start.

I would suspect a sponsorship deal. Hate it when clubs announce sponsorship deals as 'signings'.

I think he was the first signing who hadn't already played a season with us

I was thinking about this and maybe Shaughnessy would flourish as a defensive midfielder? He was supposed to be a midfielder apparently and i think he would have been more useful there (if we had the defensive cover, which we didn't) against Millwall than Phillips.

Wolves fans said he was hopeless when we signed him. Perhaps they were right.

even if more penalties were given initially players would soon learn not to do it and it would settle down but the game would become fairer and like you say definitely more goals from set pieces. It has to be in all leagues otherwise in Europe British teams would be at a severe disadvantage.

Andy has always been solid. i liked him as our number 1. Jury is still out on Felix for me I suspect he is a decent shot stopper but naff in other areas.
