One red top has been linking us with Luton Town right-back James Justin today. can play in a number of positions, 20 y old.

1.) 18 Oct 2018 09:46:55
Hmm wonder what Lewis coyle thinks on reading that?

02 Oct 2018 22:41:28
Thank god for that. First win in 6 and much needed. Hopefully now we can push on and start to get some momentum behind us and confidence back.

Bielsa can’t be happy with what he sees currently we need to get some of our better players back sooner rather than later. If we take on chances we could have been 10@ points clear by now.

Come on Leeds let’s get it together!

alftupper

1.) 02 Oct 2018 23:35:58
Alf Everything okay with you? 2 weeks ago we beat Preston 3 to nil. Don't think even the Football League would have us play a game every 2 days. Try get your facts right for next time.

2.) 03 Oct 2018 00:27:25
Surely second win in 6?

3.) 03 Oct 2018 06:42:37
AL. actually 2nd win in 4. 👍👍⚽️⚽️⚽️.
But hey. We are top off league. !

4.) 03 Oct 2018 11:10:56
Alf, you’re not related to Alf Roberts who used to run the corner shop in Corrie are you? He was always a grumpy bugger as well! We are in the best position that we have been in as a club for years, it’s not the same as last years high. Sure we’ve got lots of challenges to come but we’ve done bloody well, the players are giving their all and we’ve got a coaching team that can coach through all levels of the club. Look at what happened with Ekuban, Grot, last year and compare that with Roberts, compare Harrison with Sacko! We’ve missed Hernadez and Roofe for the last 5 games! Give the team a bit of credit!

5.) 03 Oct 2018 15:04:31
Cracking postage Spaniard.

17 Sep 2018 22:30:20
Nessy on the injured list as well now. We won’t have anybody left come November.

alftupper

1.) 20 Sep 2018 13:06:25
Alf, he is one of the players struggling to make a mark at the moment. He was rusty in the cup against Preston and they tried him in the under 23s in midfield and he had a bit of a shocker before going off with the injury. With the CB options Bielsa sees for the first team, he’s going to struggle to make the bench and with the options for the under 23s can’t see him in there either. The injury has come at a bad time for him. Hope he recovers quickly from the injury and gets back into the fray.

28 Aug 2018 14:10:23
Saiz getting a lot of interest from Spain - £9mill bid tabled from Vallencia is the latest.

alftupper

1.) 28 Aug 2018 14:45:46
Think it will take a lot more than that. I hope!

2.) 28 Aug 2018 15:43:49
Don't bet on it bright. Our chairman will be like a bisto kid when he smells cash.

3.) 28 Aug 2018 20:11:18
If Grealish is worth (according to Villa) over £25M, then what price Samu?

4.) 29 Aug 2018 08:29:21
Selling Saiz now just won’t happen, viera for 7 million is a completely different ball game than 9 for Saiz! It would have to be silly money, 20-30 million and the only club mentioned that could come close to that would be Valencia and they have spent elsewhere and even then, the timing is completely wrong.

22 Aug 2018 15:25:05
youngster Oriol Rey also being shipped out.

alftupper

1.) 22 Aug 2018 15:51:17
I'm hoping it's just on loan?

2.) 22 Aug 2018 18:57:21
Perminant I believe.

3.) 23 Aug 2018 16:06:40
permanent or at least loan to permanent. he has failed to make the grade so we want rid.

4.) 23 Aug 2018 17:16:38
Strange that he made the bench at Swansea.

another good result from the lads in what could have been a tricky fixture. so tight this year with only 2 points separating the top 5 positions.

Come on Leeds let's start to break away from the pack now and assert some dominance.

alftupper

1.) 05 Nov 2018 15:12:16
Was thinking of a similar post myself alf. Spot on 👍.

2.) 05 Nov 2018 15:40:39
Would be nice to see, but I reckon it might stay this way right until the end of the season. January will be critical (for once! ) 🤔.

3.) 05 Nov 2018 20:07:04
If we carry on with the same points to game ratio we will go up. I think that would take us to about 90 points.

4.) 06 Nov 2018 07:02:32
Indeed - its keeping it going now. The main thing we could really do with is clinical finishing and if we could add that we would start to really break away from the pack. Teams know what to expect from us now so they will set up accordingly and the majority will try to stop us playing so wins will not be as easy as they were at the start of the season. However, we are starting to adjust to that and are hopefully coming out of that period of draws now and will start a run of wins again.

4.) 09 Oct 2018 13:54:26
I hear it is now up for a bafta grammy and oscar such was the quality of the interview. my wife was impressed. she said well done for you, you didn't sound too much like a C''t. She loves me.

5.) 09 Oct 2018 16:06:43

7.) 09 Oct 2018 20:33:43
Good man bermo.

8.) 09 Oct 2018 20:40:42
Why was Bermo on the radio? Have we moved to the air waves now?

9.) 09 Oct 2018 22:33:37

10.) 10 Oct 2018 13:28:57

11.) 10 Oct 2018 21:30:06
no chance Alf apprently saying you love your wife the line after sayong she is the only person to smash you on the nose is not a great thing to do apprently.

08 Oct 2018 20:22:57
Apparently Bielsa has asked for a winger, striker and CB in January. Why didn’t anybody think of that before?

alftupper

1.) 08 Oct 2018 21:02:05
Can’t understand why he hasn’t asked for them for Christmas! I have read those stories over the last few days and not sure about their authenticity. Would he really write that down in a report than could be leaked? Not sure if any journalist has had a chance to ask him about it yet. His answers will be interesting.

What is really interesting about the list is that even after his water boarding by Bermondsey, he doesn’t feel we need a defensive midfielder!

2.) 08 Oct 2018 21:20:11
Fresh funds can freshen up the mind alf.

3.) 09 Oct 2018 08:24:09
electric shock treatment needed next! .

I never believe these reports. all our sigingins were under the radar and out of the blue so I would be surprised if now our targets and singings are leaked.

i would be very suprised if a battling mid is not a top target, i think mb will stick with KP when playing hull and preston etc but be shocked if KP plays the return legs against the likes or borough swans and brentford and think MB will seek a tackler to offer protects and not get us over run in the middle of the park, if not I shall be paying MB a visit again!

4.) 09 Oct 2018 18:05:02
Such is the class of our reserves, knocking on the door, that finding a target that will noticeably improve the squad will be hard (and expensive) . Do we need a winger when Roofe is fit do we have a winger in Roberts? As for striker, he had better be good (prolific) to usurp Roofe, Roberts, Bamford (plus U23s)

02 Oct 2018 14:07:37
Corkie - we've already got an injury crisis. Our best players are out. Current team are not doing it at the moment compared to when Roofe and Hernandez were fit - Bamford should be featuring more regularly and he is crocked so we have no reliable striker at this level. Defence is a worry with Berardi crocked and Shackleton not back and most importantly arguably our best player in the 10 mins he's been fit for us - Forshaw is still not getting any regular football.

How many more do you want out before its a crisis?

recent results have been poor with us just scraping draws in games we should have won and let's not even go there with the Brum game. we need these players back asap or we will slip down the table for another mid-placed finish.

Fixtures are about to come thick and fast in the next few months and i have serious reservations if the same threadbare 11 players can last the distance.

alftupper

1.) 02 Oct 2018 15:29:05
Panic not Alf. Top o table by bedtime.

2.) 02 Oct 2018 15:34:45
Alfie, deep breath and relax!

Current team not doing it, 25 chances against weds, so they must be doing sonething!

Defense, Beradi, not even in what a lot of people would say is the strongest cab pairing of Cooper and Pontus, back together again now.

Shackleton is back and playing, been on the bench and played a half for the under 23s.

Forshaw, again been on the bench and played in 2 of the last 3 under 23 games. Bielsa not rushing him back, but might still prefer Phillips and Klich anyway.

In the under 23s we have Aapo Halme, Hugo Diaz and Pascal, who are capable of coming into the squad if needed.

If you look at the first team squad and the under 23s, defensive strength doesn’t really worry me.

Where you are obviously right is the impact of losing, Roofe, Bamford and Hernadez at the same time. Not sure you could really have planned for that without spending a lot more money, leaving players in the reserves and stunting the growth of younger players.

Give Roberts a bit more time. Roofe has played nearly 70 times for the club and it’s only really during his last 6 that fans have been united in raving about him. If Georgie thinks he will come good, that works for me!

Let’s hope we’re having all of our bad luck at the same time.

3.) 02 Oct 2018 17:24:11
I am starting to wonder whether we were a bit premature in baying for Orta's blood. Some of his signings were written off by me and a few others as crap. New manager, feels like new players. Maybe his signings looked poor due to the inadequacies of our managers of the day, rather than poor judgement on his part. They must have looked like quality where we poached them from, so maybe we were wrong about him. Open to the suggestion that I was wrong.

4.) 02 Oct 2018 17:49:42
Seems he was spot on about Mr Klich

We brought in a lot of players that needed time to settle and get used to the league, not all of them will.

MB seems to get more out of them

Just look what QPR did the last time they hit the premiership, spending and signing lots of players doesn’t always work

Better models are Bournemouth, Burnley and to a certain extent Southampton and Swansea, build gradually with young players with a sell on value

Comes a point when you have to stop selling ( see Swansea for details) or it goes pear shape

I’m confident once back in the premiership, few would want to move on. No better place to play

ALAW.

5.) 02 Oct 2018 17:58:47
I said that Orta Tory,

loads gave him stick when he was getting ones for the future before they had a chance to grow and show 'the future' a lot of his signings at borough have done well and now some of ours are looking decent.

the manager makes all the difference and MB and his team will show orats singings true worth.

6.) 02 Oct 2018 19:00:40
I’m lost Alf what did I say regarding injury crisis?

7.) 02 Oct 2018 19:27:38
Oh sorry Alf I see now what you mean with what I said. I wouldn’t say four players out is an injury crisis though. Seven or eight maybe but not four. Having four out at one time would be common enough in most squads.

01 Oct 2018 14:42:19
way too wasteful. this needs to change or we will struggle with this competition. we should have buried Wednesday. Disappointing.

alftupper

1.) 01 Oct 2018 17:30:24
I mean that's one way of looking at it I suppose!

2.) 01 Oct 2018 20:24:40
Alf you get games where you miss a hatful that’s the way it is I’m afraid. If it keeps happening then I’ll get worried. We’re playing pretty well and I still haven’t seen a better side yet.

3.) 01 Oct 2018 20:42:34
The luck wasn’t early running for us on Friday. They scored a wondergoal, one of their defenders almost scored an own goal and we had at least 3/ 4 shots that could easily have gone in. As Cork says, sometimes it happens. I predict we will have less chances against Hull and score more goals!

4.) 02 Oct 2018 00:23:05
Agree Alf.
Ave of 1 in maybe 5-6 chances is acceptable.
Let’s hope it’s a one off corky. There were a lot lot of scuffs, mis directed and weak as wee shots.

5.) 02 Oct 2018 12:04:28
As Bielsa said you expect 4 goals from the chances we created so for me it was points lost again.

6.) 02 Oct 2018 12:32:26
i personally put it down as one of them days but as others have said it can't continue. I would have one of those days over another millwall performance where we were just poor. kets see a reponse tonight.

Need to get on a run really - beating the bottom club is all very well and good but we need to be beating better teams than that if we want to progress.

Some here weren’t that impressed with some of his early form - maybe still a bit green but it’s up to him to force hos way into the squad if he is good enough. If not do we really want him in there anyway? Football should not be about sentiment.
