It's hard not to get too carried away with this! We still have players to come back to strengthen defensive options, we have options in attack and we have money to spend! Really pleased for Alioski today to get a goal, great for his confidence as well. Profession leadership at the club and a quietly confident coach and an international break to settle everyone in!

And we are getting players in for the future, young talent not only in first team but youth squads as well. It is our time i think.

Just leaving the ground. Great game, could have gone either way we probably had slightly more chances. Great to have a coach who moves people around a bit. Interesting to see Hernandez and Saiz playing together and some really lovely touches together. Alioski, good game. We looked better in midfield, didn't lose control like we did against Preston in the first half. Shaunessy, had a good game again and made a couple of crucial interventions. Wood missed a couple of good opportunities. But three games no defeats and I think the boss is learning quickly. Thanks

Exactly New coach
New players Still bedding in Think we're a class above last years team and much more depth It's a marathon not a sprint Another CB and a LB would be nice but if not, I think this group will crack on

Brighton, latest club to be linked with Chris Wood. Hard to imagine that he will stay. Bound to be a few clubs interested in the premiership and could be other money floating around from other deals that clubs want to spend. A chance for him to play in the premiership again and negotiate a better pay deal! We need to be realistic and hopefully we have some other options lined up ready.

I honestly think woody is happy to stay How they celebrated the win yesterday looked like a group that wants to finish what they've started

Well done to TC and the team. David O leary can cancel his cab to Elland Road for the moment and TC lives to fight another day! I hope today answered a few questions, that wasnt a performance of a team that had given up on its coach. Still not finishing off teams ruthlessly and could have done that today but no Leeds side has done that for many years. let's have some belief and faith in the current set up. Big week ahead and this time we need to kick on. Pleased for Pablo today, one goal and one assist and nice to see Alioski getting a goal. The season is still there for the taking.

Looked to me like the back four suddenly got their earlier form back, it helps make the whole team look better. Special mention to the young tigers Viera and Phillips, well done you two :)

2.) 20 Nov 2017 08:06:00
Thoroughly enjoyed the game today. Well done lads.

Today is the day, home match, Monk returns, great crowd. TC and the players willl know just how important this game is. Plenty of time to prepare, plenty of time to plan, no excuses! I predict a tough first half, a few bookings, at least one sending off and we pull aay to win 3-1 in the second half. let's believe!

Radz is the person best placed to decide when TC has had enough time. He knows what conversations have been had, what answers he has got and what the players and other staff think. He has brought much needed stability and professionalism to the club and i am sure he will not want to through that away lightly. The next few decisions will reflect on him and give everyone more of an idea of what kind of a leader he is and wants to be. It is easy for the players and other employees in the club to blame TC and not point the finger at themselves. Win together lose together is a good rallying cry, but people really need to believe it! I think by Dec 2nd and the Villa game we will know if TC can deliver top six this year or not. That gives him some time, the board time to reflect and review who else is available. If he goes then, time for a review of the squad, chance for the players to respond to change before the jan window. To me, that seems profssional, sensible and fair. You can prevent relegation by changing managers regularly but not promotion. Still belive the best solution for the club is that TC learns, shows the players he is boss and gets us back into the top six! But any professionally run outfit should always have a plan b/c/d.

I hope so spanish. i'm fully behind the rad
Whatever he decides is fair enough. He is a proffessional and with mc has done wonders for the club. Whoever is the cause of the slump needs to react immediately and turn it round. Lose v mid and its game over for me. Tc to go. I def think the purchases and loans need assessing as they were made with no experience of this league and it shows. There are some pretty duff players that have come in.

2.) 08 Nov 2017 17:44:49
Ausman I with you on that, TOp Cat is a nice man but I donโ€™t know if he can do this very very hard job which he finds himself in ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿคž

3.) 10 Nov 2017 01:29:53
I'm on the fence with this one. I want to believe in TC and support him but I am really really nervous.

04 Nov 2017 16:41:51
Well there seems to be a lot of play off wobbling going on today! A chance to get back into the zone, regain some confidence and start moving forward again. A big opportunity today, let's get out there and show everyone what you can do for TC and the fans.

When was it not a rollercoaster ride being a Leeds Fan! But let's not forget a lot of the good stuff that has been done this year and that includes a bit of stability. Not convinced that getting rid of the coach yet is the answer. This board would want to have asuitable alternative in mind and who woukd that be? He deserves the season to deliver a play off place, that was the goal. Only deviate from that once it becomes impossible or we face relegation assuming we have an alternative in mind. someone mentioned Birmingham City, sacked their manager last year whilst still in play off contention, paid him off. Appointed Zola, sacked to try and avoid relegation, paid off. Apponted Harry to save the day, he did and got new contract only to be sacked and paid off. Their x manager now steering Derby into the playoffs whilst they remain close to relegation zone!

1.) 02 Nov 2017 13:29:01
I think results determine manager/coaches destiny. don't think case history matters. Some sackings work. Some dont. He def dosent get whole season and def not until failure is certain? I would give him 3 games to get 6 points. Or gone.

2.) 02 Nov 2017 16:38:56
3 games. ? And get who. ? I actually don't think radz is that type off chairman. He will want TC to have a fair crack at it and we are no worse than last when monk was doing ever so well.

3.) 03 Nov 2017 11:33:51
I am a great believer in continuity. If the board are professional and strong in their interview techniques then we have to keep faith with their choice, tho we may not always agree. If you have a manager that is mentally strong and can carry the dressing room with him then back him to the hilt. We have had too many changes and new starts with new staff, new ideas, new systems. Everytime going backwards and starting again and look what that achieved. It's only with the advent of Radz and the stability he has brought that a dark cloud has been lifted from us supporters. So let's not forget the dark days. Give TC our backing and remember; MOT.

4.) 03 Nov 2017 15:03:52
Not with you leodis What dark cloud? If you mean mc. He started the journey that radz will finish. Stabilty? Losing all the time is ok then? As long as owner is stable. I think owner is sensible and will sack when sack deserves And. Has the dressing room?

5.) 03 Nov 2017 17:06:14
Yes, the dark days of chopman Massimo and the stop start progress that came with his choices (even before him Bates) . Losing is definitely not okay but if Radz and the board have done their homework and chosen the right man then if the right man still has the team let's band together, work hard and get out of this slump together. We have proved that we have a team with talent so hopefully tweaks rather than major upheaval is the way forward.

6.) 04 Nov 2017 10:03:40
Great posts leodis! I think a different word can be used to explain what we are looking for; continuity. like you say a new manager would only have to start again from scratch instilling new tactics and strategies, training regimes etc, so we need to persevere in the hope that it all comes together longer term. MOT.

Oh Dear Oh Dear, D- see me after class. You clearly have some ideas but express them without structure or cohesion. Please pay more attention to the " grammar for beginners " book you were given at the end of last term. Leeds like to beat teams or win against them, if you win a team, it's like a prize in the lottery or at the fairground. If you lose a team, it's very careless and difficult to do or no one likes you and you will lose your job! The theme for the next essay is, " playing at wembley when it's less than half full", please try harder!

{Ed001's Note - now that is an excellent reply! Well done Spanish I really enjoyed that comeback.}

I think you have to give some credit to our recruitment to date. We are picking up players cheaper precisely because they are not on everyone's radars, but we see some potential. Look at Alioski and Saiz compared with what is being paid for prem and championship players. The strikers are going to get opportunities so it's down to them to make the most of them and look at what we've done so far without them! On Sacko, surprised he hasn't gone out on a loan to get some game time. Last time I saw him at Elland road he seemed totally lacking in confidence and belief, complete contrast to Alioski.

PP, I've posted a few times that away from home our set up works well and we have more time and space on the wings. I have seen both home games and it's a lot tougher. But against Fulham TC responded with both Saiz and Hernandez and we looked better. Who we have in the Centre at home is key as well to getting control. The good thing is that TC is a thinker and you can see him trying to work situations out. a good start, a thinking manager and 15 Mill in the back pocket to spend!

No chance dougie, he's not going to stay and he is not going to be a legend. He had a good season largely putting away chances created by others. He has cashed in his chips and secured his retirement and I don't blame him for that, but the stuff of legends it isn't !

Good point about Derby, they were in that position then they sacked their manager and ended up saving themselves from relegation on the last day! let's give TC a chance. The run of fixtures through to Villa on First dec will define the season. We are trying different ideas and need a bit of luck. Hope TC can do it, not sure changing the manager how is going to help us.

In the end seems like a good piece of man management by TC, handled calmly and professionally during the break. Looks like Lonnergan has started well. Good luck to him.

Aus, It might not be a case of being brave enough simply that he doesn't agree with your point of view! Either way, don't think he will do it and I hope whoever is in goal has a great game, keeps a clean sheet and saves 5 penalties! Come on boys back on track in front of a wonderful full house!

A brief update for fans of Paul Rachuba, now playing for Kerala Blasters in the Indian League. Just goes to show, there's always work out there somewhere. I think if Lonners is s going to come back, do it now and get ready for it during the international break. Gives the defence a chance to start afresh. It will be an interesting squad and team for Reading. The important thing is we get a win and start to get the confidence back. A good test for TC.
