Am I right in thinking that Cellino will be picking the teams next season and that Hockaday will be just training the boys? he's not stupid though as he seems to want to sort the defence out first and a young holding midfielder hopefully to marshall it! i'm quite excited by next season its just the coach who so far isn't convincing me. But who knows. Wilko didn't get me going either when 1st appointed! MOT.

I'm assuming your right with MC and the coach, that's the way I read it anyway.
I'm looking forward to the new season with 1 eye, I think top half would be a good start for MC, it's a tough league and players need time to settle :)

Hock will pick team eventually as he gains more power and influence through winning games. The team kinda picks itself though at the moment. We need more recruits. Then the big question will be what formation we going to adopt?

I'm not in the know but I think MC will buy the players and tell coach who to play, isn't the coaches job to coach the players given to him!

Think that's why BMD sulked then left.

I don't understand.wouldnt you sulk if you were a manager and told who to play by the owner.i find it all mad.
now I will be there and support 100% but i'm still extemely worried by what we have in.now the italians could all gel and make us very good.we know nothing about them.when we are linked some people post, great he will be good, . but really we don't have a clue.it appears cheap is the answer to cellino.i mean a man running the team who got sacked from forest green for gods sake.
then we are linked with nile ranger who has spent more time in wormwood than the pitch.
we are 4/1 to be relegated and 20s to be promoted.
i just want us to have a team and have a good go at getting promotion, then money will take care of itself.
people happy with mid table? why.yes happy with midtable with what we have in now but I don't want to be travelling 2 hours to er on a cold tues night in november just to see a load of rubbish who are 15th in table getting walked over by the likes of watford.
people are trying to be positive, we all are new season wise, but sorry I fear the worst.
unless I see at least 3 to 4 players of proven english football still to come in.
these are just my thoughts and opinion and ridicule me no problem but i'm not going to put up with the same shower of crap I endured last year

Well put shrews and I'd say most people would agree with your statement.
If it's any worse than last year then WE WILL be going down.
MC in the past has sourced and signed young players, developed them and sold them for millions to make Calgari a viable club. LUFC on the other hand don't need to sell as we have done in the past, we have a far bigger gate receipts and the incentive of the premier league. So IF the fans give massimo the time to source the players
I think we could be in for an interesting 3 or 4 years.
Last of all MC won't tolerate the lack lustre performances we witnessed last year that is a FACT.

Yes good point andy,
at least cellino couldn't bear to sit in stand and hear constant moaning and watch a drubbing.
i like how he is and hope he gets it right I really do.
id like to see us splash out 3 to 5 mill of the ross money on a top striker then we may be in with a shout.
who I don't know, i'd like troy deeney but I think he will go to prem.rhodes but he would be too much.not sure who else though

7.) 22 Jul 2014
Well put Shrew, maybe that is why Cagliari had 30+ managers/coaches in Cellino's time there he cannot see that he maybe a great business man & the type of person we need to take our great club forward, however in my opinion it will never work with the chairman deciding who to buy then expecting a coach to train players he may not have chosen to buy. If we are to get back into the premiership within the 2 years MC stated I fear we will need to buy some proven players, not players that a surplus to requirements at other clubs
