not that excited about darko he plays a flat back 4 does not change tactics throughout the game always long balls under redfern we played very good exciting football if things are going against us in a game he would change it to get a win eg bornmouth I would have given him the job played 4 won 3 drawn 1. I would not have got rid of naylor and would have promoted him from the u18s where he did a fantastic job to the u21s

Sorry belly your wrong buddy you need to do a bit of research yourself instead of reading a crap blog from a Sturm fan. Read about how he played at Moribar or what Moribar did before he arrived, read about how he built the team on youth and attacking fluid passing. Speak to Moribar fans about what they make of him and his type of football before you start going into doom and gloom mode.

Please don't read that crap article in the YEP about him as that was the worst piece of lazy journalism I have ever read. Speak to Ema an Italian reporter on what he makes of him. Got all are signing right and what quality of players they were when many were doom and gloom about them.

The only reason we like redders is his last 4 games but look at his stats and they are I am afraid truly awful. Redders is not ready for the hot seat yet. Not saying he won't be but just not yet.

Well guys, when Redders was given the caretakers job a lot of people on this site and everywhere were sceptical and did not want him permanently in the job citing his previous stints in charge. I pointed out at the time he could not be judged on those two stints, he came in at the worst possible times, bad results and low morale etc, also I said he could be the right person at the right time. Now just 4 games later everyone wants him permanently. I doubt very much Darko is going to rip up the team and start again, I also am sure Redders will have some input. But what he has done is instill confidence, unity and belief in the players, they in turn have proved that to themselves and everybody on the pitch. That is not going to go away. Support our club whoever does what and we will be smiling all season

Spain, yet another excellent post, I too have had a look at 'Darko's' past record, it really does look as though we are going to continue playing in this attacking mode, long may it continue.

I think it would be hard to play negatively with the exciting bunch of talent we now have. e.g. how would you get Antennuci to play negatively?

I'm getting behind the new coach Darko & of course I have concerns as I would about most new appointments of this magnitude at lufc. To me he's not a great candidate simply because I'd not even take into account his time at Maribor. It's a Celtic situation with only one league winner & automatic European entry. Quite simply Maribor could play any way they wanted & win their league. Since being at Gratz he's not done very well, possibly with poor team so to sum it up he's another gamble imo.
I do think Massimo looks firstly to hire someone submissive so to speak, a nice guy who will take orders without answering back & a fear for losing his job. Darko is by all accounts a gentleman who will be really good for our PR and may even turn out to be a good coach but I'm not being fooled into this champions league experience nonsense as he clearly got in by deed fault. So as I said I will be right behind him & our team because I'm lufc through & through & not because Darko inspires me.
As for Redders, I believe he will be poached at some point & I also think he is gutted at this point, I mean how do you go back to your day job after doing your dream job successfully without regret & being upset he's been bypassed for no good reason. The academy is and always will be in good hands plus any head coach would have a big say in that area too had he got the top job he'd always be in with the youth between 1st team coaching & matches. It's his baby so he wouldn't have just ignored it. For those reasons I can see Redders walking away once a really good & well paid job comes up. No matter what, good luck to him, legend behind the scenes at lufc

Slough

i just want to put this to bed for everyone.

Moribor had not won anything or runners up in anything for the 5yrs before he arrived. When he took over they were then dominant until he left in his last season he did the treble, the fist time any club did this in Slovinia.

They won the league after he left but did not win any cups.

I understand Moribor may not be Barca but you can't take it away or dismiss it as irrelevant.

Sturm were always a top 4 team when he arrived but then Red Bull poured millions into slazburg and they were always the weakest out of the 4 and were then pushed to 5th on no budget. He did bring the highest value player with him and still is a club record of 964k. Sort of answers lots of questions right there doesn't it?
