hi all,

not been on here for ages as been busy with work and family stuff (think it is very rude that these trivial things get in the way of both leeds and this forum) . Firsty Uwe, don't hate the guy but was given long enough imo to judge him and he was not good enough. too negitive and kept making the same mistakes and most importantly was not getting most out of the players.

So to Steve Evan. no I don't like him but as leeds boss I now have to until he gives me reasons to hate him, he did get rotherham promoted (which I would say is a bout the same size taskas getting leeds into prem) he does seem to unite players and get best from them. I say give him chance until we see he is not upto it. I think he will do better than people expect.

finally to MC, I love him, if not for him there would be no leeds, he has invested more than any other chairman in long while, he cleaerly is a passionate football man who wants the best for his club (that is us btw) he might not always say the right thing, he might be a little bit mad but we could do a lot worse (ken bates and blackpool make my arguement there)

so to the future, to Mc getting us back where we belong and to SE getting us playing better, I also predict wood to imporve a lot under new boss, some people have slated wood but he is good and proven at this level MOT.

Did watch some of "big boy (OK Fat) steve" press conference and he seemed OK to me, fairly at ease and seemed to know what it was all about so like Bermondsey we should all give him a chance as if he gets it right then Leeds do.

As I have said a load of times on here the team/squad is much better than results since the Derby game, which I think is won 1 drew 1 lost 4 in the last 6 and was no sign really that anything was due to change. We move on, I don't care how mad MC is, it is about the team/manager so I'm behind big steve (not that you can see anyone behind him) his record on 3 promotions in last 4 seasons and keeping tiny rotherham in championship is as good as anyone's record really (anyone who we could get) .

And a final point I believe SE will pick the team no issues so unless we have proof in the future I just think all that stuff is just going to be made up as this guy ain't going to take no shit as seems a old fashioned straight talking Scottish geezer hopefully his style is just what we need right now for this season.

We're all Leeds aren't we, let's give the man a chance, you never know it could work, on the law of averages we must be due some good fortune at some point.

Bermondsey white,

You don't sound too convinced about Steve Evans? And you don't like him? Hmmmmm strange! I can't make it out, it is almost a year ago to the day that you slated me for calling him a muppet! In your words and I quote 'imagine what he would do with a squad like ours and a team like Leeds, he's the exact kind of muppet we need managing us. We should start being nice to Sir Steve Evans in the hope he becomes our manager'! Well. you got your wish, just thought you'd be a little more enthusiastic?

well remembered fuzzy, glad my words mean that much to you, as it can not be a grudge can it? I think Steve Evans was a lot better than our coach at the time (was it hocK? ) also think Steve evans get promotion with teams that maybe shouldn't get promoted, think Steve evans gets best out of his playign squad. I do not like him as a person, and for me the best manager to get would of been nigel pearson. However no one can argue that Steve Evans has the best c. v and is the most successful manager we have had since maybe simon Grayson or before that George Graham. Some people have called for Gary Mac (2nd worst leeds manager ever record was poor considering how good leeds were and who we were playing) ) and glenn hoddle (what did he ever do other than talk rubbish on ITV and bore the life out of me as a commentatory) so I do think Evans is a good choice certainly as good as we can hope for at the moment. I thought my first post my quietly enthuisatic and positive was it not? you can quote me from a year agao but didn't see I said he will do better than most people expect? united players and get best from team and also pointed out getting rotehram up would be like getting us up so if he can do one hopefully he can do the other. It is sometimes hard to show enthusaims in posts so just to let you know while writing this I am so happy that I am dancing round the living room naked played marraccas :O)

Bermondsey,

Excellent, that's more like it! A bit of naked dancing and marraccas playing never did anyone any harm, esp if helps boost morale and confidence! Grudge? Me? Never! Just remember you being quite excitable about SE, so thought you'd be singing and dancing! (Which, little did I know behind the scenes you are! ) keep it up!

Personally SE wouldn't have been my first choice, but have watched the press conference and thought he presented himself pretty well! I'm always pretty optimistic when it comes to new managers! But we'll see! Time will tell.

Keep up the banter Bermondsey.
