Merry Christmas, Lads!
Just passing on what I've heard.

I have just heard from my Uncle (who works at Carrow Road, Norwich) he works in the executive sector at the ground, close to Delia etc. well he reckons Norwich are in for Rodolph to sure up their shakey defensive protection. He reckons it is around the 3 million mark. But I guess we will soon find out!

Becchio and £3m to us maybe a deal!

Agree1 Disagree11

He can go for that

Agree1 Disagree10

It would not be a proper transfer window if Norwich weren't linked with one of our best players.

I don't see this happening myself.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL.

The most improved player in our team the man McDermott sees as our leader to get up and you want becchio back and some money. No chance if this happens it will just undo all the good work this year

Hes good but not worth 3 mil

Agree0 Disagree10

The rumor makes sense, but I don't think we'll sell. Austin is too critical to the cause.

Agree11 Disagree0

Well he certainly fits their profile, he plays for Leeds and is Captain!

probably not worth 3 mil but we don't have to sell meaning they will have to offer higher than before . players usually cost a little more in jan . I would accept 3 mil + becchio if we can find a replacement for austin. a fit becchio is easy worth 2 mil.
who would there be to replace the strength and speed that austin brings to the team? I think wrong time to sell . if austin goes we will end up playing brown

Agree2 Disagree1

Could be a good deal if we bring in a good replacement we could probably bring dorrans in for that and if he finds form again he will be a top payer in the championship

Jonny Howson and Snoddy, kerching ;-)

Agree3 Disagree1

Whenever has it been successful a player returning to any club for a second spell? NEVER EVER works, so Becchio you wanted to leave so fight for your place at little Norwich, you wouldn't get a game here neither, give me Matt Smith any day, harsh but true.

Agree11 Disagree1

Snap their hand off. JD

Agree1 Disagree3

Your all mad! Ruddy is probably why out form is so good, not only by his ability but his presence aswell! He is powerful and work rate is second to none! Now way would I be happy selling him for 3 mil! Start player along side McCormack so far this season! A true Leeds captain as of yet and a captain we have been crying out for in ages!

Agree5 Disagree0

How any of you actually rate Becchio is beyond me. I thought he was awful. Sh*te first touch, zero presence during a game, had a good season with Beckford but mainly due to the other players giving him tap ins and headers. The only thing I rated him at was his heading ability but we now have Matt Smith!

Ruddy is one of a handful of players at Leeds I would like to see the team built around. Strong, powerful, great passer, getting some assists too now that he plays behind the front two, and he can also bang them in from distance. His work rate is second to none and his tackling is spot on while also bring slightly full on! Just what we need! He's also someone that BMD clearly feels is a leader and hence why he is our captain!

Agree11 Disagree0

When as it ever been successful to return to a club, well how about ian baird so good we bought him twice

Agree1 Disagree2

Matt smith is useless and is terrible in the air! I can only assume those of you commenting do not go to the games. i'm not saying I want becchio back but to say we don't need becchio we have matt smith is way way off the mark.

Agree0 Disagree6

And I've heard from my uncle that in a shock reversal of the usual direction of travel Delia Smith is going to take over the catering at ER. Our heroine is going to reprise her 'how to boil an egg' gig on the centre circle at half time and then go on the lash with the cooking sherry before launching off with 'let's be avin' you' from her greatest hits collection. FACT! as people usually write at the end of a load of old rhymes with rowlocks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whether true or not I cannot believe the post rating Matt Smith over Becchio. I'm not a season ticket holder any more but went to Barnsley game and a few others this season. We are making progress as a team but Matt Smith is the worse player I've seen in a Leeds shirt for many years. Close call between him and Brollin!

Agree2 Disagree4

If its me being referred to as saying Matt Smith is better than Becchio then maybe read what I wrote again:

'The only thing I rated him at was his heading ability but we now have Matt Smith!'.

As in, Matt Smith is 6ft 6in, can head the ball better than Becchio and we now have a real ariel presence in the box.

Saying that, from what I have seen of him, the man can't finish a ham sandwich so he'll have to improve that stat since he's a forward!

Can't believe someone thought Ian Baird was good when he returned! Only player who returned and was any good was Peter Lorimer

Agree2 Disagree1

Thought Frank Gray was pretty useful as was Lukic, Batty? never say never

Agree3 Disagree1

If all Matt Smith is in the side for is his heading ability then get rid. He wins less than 50% with many of them not finding a team mate. As for his feet.

Not moaning as Mac doing a great job but urgently need someone else to share the goal responsibility.

Sounds too good to be true! Chapel A

Kevin Phillips and Alan Smith will be joining the club in the new year. Both will work as coaches with the youth sides and also work with some of the younger first team players trying to pass on there experience. Kevin Phillips will also get a playing deal till the end of the season to act as cover for the first team, this means BMD doesn't desperately need to sign a striker in Jan and can spend the money elsewhere on the team first. Alan Smith was offered a playing contract too, again as backup, but turned it down as he doesn't feel he can perform at this level and doesn't want to risk damaging the teams chances if he played.

Absolute rubbish. You've been having too many mince pies. Merry Christmas all and here's to a happy new year to Leeds MOT
