Despite some of the unbridled optimism, prior to the Burnley game, the outcome was entirely predictable. We always struggle against teams who defend in depth particularly those that have a bit of quality. As I pointed out Blackburn, Burnley Millwall, Harrogate all gave us a hard time. We have the quality to unpick' these defences I normally point out that James isn't the answer because it is regularly claimed that he is but it's not just him. In fairness he was the only one to have a shot of any note We desperately need a Hernandez type of player plus a striker. I don't know how Piroe would perform if given the right kind of service. On occasions he looks like he would score a bucket full other times he doesn't. Joseph is looking a bit out of it at the moment and Bamford isn't coming back in any sort of form. We have quality all over the pitch but clearly lacking in specific areas. I hope we are promoted automatically because I thin any of the top clubs could beat us in a one/ two game shoot out.

Because he (DJ) had a couple a couple when there were no others doesn't make him a star in that context it just means we haven't a creative player who can unlock stubborn defenders or a striker who can conjure up a goal when its tight. The point remains as I said we struggle against packed defences no amount of simple optimism will alter that. We need players to step up or recruit new ones. I dread any play off scenario because teams know how to play against us in those situations and we often come out second best.

Hess we all agree on needing a CAM and CF

My point is that you quite often in your posts considerably down play/ under appreciate the very significant role and achievements of Danny James to this team in past one and half seasons
