I have read the varied comments from posters following the game on Saturday and it is important to get some perspective between what we want as fans and what is currently achievable. The results and performances of late have been poor, with the last two games being particularly embarrassing for the club. Bottom line we should not be losing to Rochdale and shipping six against an side like Sheffield Wednesday. The players played with no heart or desire (which is the norm for Yorkshire derbies) and the manager made a pig's ear of his tactical selection. Playing both his winger's whilst maintaining the 5 at the back policy smacked of being negative and a tad desperate. The new players had not had chance to train with their colleagues, the formation overloaded our wings but left us lacking in the middle of the park and even if the wingers did manage to cross the ball, who was it going to? Another bad day at the office for Brian and he needs to learn pretty quickly that the midfield needs to be more dominant and protect a suspect defence. Those asking for the manager's head need to have a reality check. This is a side that had been punching above it's weight this season against teams that have invested significantly over a number of years and will take time and financial support to start competing for promotion. Whether BMcD gets that full support is debatable and the notion that we should get rid of him to bring in Di Matteo or Malky M is absolute nonsense, do you think those guys would want to take over this team? I am not happy with the situation we find ourselves in but we need to maintain support because it is not going to significantly improve in the short term

I suppose you'll class a 5-0 defeat on sat as an improvement!

As the eternal optimist, I reckon we'll get a result on Saturday! And shoot me down with a spud gun if we don't! I'd rather be optimistic than fickle and pessimistic, changing my mind about players and management week in, week out!

What is the optimism based on?
1 - it surely can't be worse than Saturday!?
2 - I bet there's been a few rockets up arses over the last 48hrs, and there will be changes, both in personnel and attitude.

Ok, Leicester have proved they're a good side, with heavy investment in recent years ( and no promotion, I'd add), and " a result" from our pov might be a battling draw, but I'll take that on the back of recent weeks!

On and up. And please, let's get back to MOT!

These posts annoy me go watch the last few games over again. we've been smashed about senseless.

Heres a question when last did you see us play a game of football and dominate the opposition team, create chances and not concede goal - the same way its happening to us
I can't remember the last time I seen a comfortable win and its not due to the poor players, they've shown what they can do
manager has to go this is twice now we've gone on a terrible run and this one is truly shocking

And your improvement would be sack BMcd, bring in A and Other. Then in six month go through all the same sh#t again . We some continuity!

Comments from fans such as sack the manager after a poor month of results really annoy me. These fans then claim we are promotion candidates after a good set of results. I am not knocking positivity but I think some people need to take a bite of a reality sandwich. Short term we need to work with what we have got because you can't replace à team in january

Sorry. To the nameless and timeless reply below mine. What do you expect? And apart from the odd game or two, when have this teM delivered the displY you describe?

Our club has been in demise for more than 10 years now, and such a dramatic fall, near to extinction, cannot be overcome in a year or two. Portsmouth are the nearest to come near to our downfall, and let's see where that takes them.

Knee jerk reactions always solve everything don't they? We at last have an infrasture being built, a forward looking board (albeit medium term)' and a proven gaffer. Change will come, and it will be good again one day soon. Support.
