Well just coming “down” after watching the game. In my opinion, that was a good solid performance against one of the favourites; we basically kept them at bay and limited them to one (hand) shot on goal.

There is plenty of spirit and togetherness in the side.

For those who didn’t see the game but will take a dig at the players anyway.

Meslier had nothing to do but pulled off one excellent save. His distribution was better (not perfect) , but better.

Defence was solid and more balanced in my opinion and coped pretty well. Very few scares tonight.

Amps and Gray played well, Shackleton ran his socks off and was our best player in the first half. Tired in the second.

James had two great chances and their goalie made two brilliant saves, but he put in a great cross for Ayling’s goal. James kept 4 of their players busy all night.

Rutter struggled, he needs more fitness, nevertheless he ran and ran. Decent chance at the end.

We struggled in the last 10 because we really didn’t have fresh legs to come on; they made 5 subs and whilst they didn’t threat they maintained possession better than they had been.

I appreciate the result is somewhat disappointing, but given the depth of the squad and the inexperience of the group, we should be pleased with that effort.

Very fair assessment Ani - wouldn't argue with any of that.

You did forget to mention the refs part though - clearly the guy wasn't a Leeds supporter!

Great win! Great save by great keeper and mastermind by a great manager

Injuries galore player munitinies and more loans than a rumberlos store (remember that shop that was one of our many leauge cup sponsors back in the day when the cup still mattered? )

Also who decides is the posts go into much looked at banter and little view discussions post? Seems very random to me?

All in all I think we did OK last night . Both teams looked a little toothless but I think with a bit of luck that should of been a comfortable win.
Rutter looked out of sorts but he will improve and get fitter. I thought shacks played well. Not always the quality but he harried and chased everywhere.
Rondon looked very assured at the back.
I think there is a core of a team there. Just a few additions please.

Yeah I may of been a six beers and about 12 scotches in last night

For clarity I’m classing all draws as wins to make me happy (should of maybe explained that in post! )

So buzzing about last nights 1-1 win.
