I am not Cellino bashing and I understand that we must be patient as he has had to deal with a number of financial issues, court cases and selling of his club in Italy however it is essential for the development of the club to get the head coach and director of football roles sorted out. These two roles will have a significant role to play in player recruitment and preparing the squad for the coming season. Yes it is important to ensure that the right people are selected for the roles however continued procrastination will leave the successful candidates with limited time to prepare the squad to hit the deck running when the season starts. I find it difficult to believe that Cellino did not have candidates lined up for these roles when he officially took over the club last season. it was clear that he wanted BMcD out therefore I would have expected to have his replacement ready for the new season (although it has not started yet).

I get your frustration mate however how are we to know he hasn't had people lined up for both roles?! Take into account the financial mess, selling Cagliari and then the winding up petition, they are 3 key areas he NEEDED to sort - what coach or director of football would join us with all that going on, they'd have to be mad. Having all that sorted is a great statement of intent to players & staff alike NOT a club that physically can't pay anyone because of a frozen account, possibly being wound up and a shed load of debts coming out of the woodwork! Keep the faith mate, I trust he'll sort us out and I also bet he has players in mind if not already lined up too. dodgy as he supposedly is, if nothing else he'll know where to look for things that could bite us.theres some kind if positive in everything!

Understand the frustration. I believe MC has made a mistake getting rid of BMd. He made bad choices yes but I simply do not believe there's much better out there for the type of person MC wants, ie a continental style coach. Given that BMd is gone and the financial situation, I would appoint Hockaday and have done with. I don't doubt him or Dolan could make the players better individually and as a team but I do fear for eithet's ability to manage tactically during a game. Is this the reason why MC has fired 37 coaches in 20 years? It's sad that coaches can't manage and managers can't coach but that's why you have both! We are not going to have both and my fear is we end up in mid-table obscurity yet again. What I do applaud however is MC tightly holding the purse strings as manager/owner. No more expensive goldfish or signing best friends on 25 a week. Eventually we will employ the right person to lead/manage our team. Might be a few years until the obvious choice becomes available.

Thanks guys, some interesting responses. If Cellino wants to go the way of a head coach and director of football then fine, I just want a bit less talk and a lot more action. It is important to remember that we are a football club.
