Well I won't regurgitate what most people are saying. What worries me is when I try to think of which of our players are really essential to us making progress next season, no more than a couple of names are popping into my head. Depressing innit.

Would it be Silvestre, Coyle, Berardi, Taylor, Bridcutt, Diagouraga, Dallas and Cook? More than 2 speedy but we are woefully lacking. I wouldn't mind seeing Nigel Pearson get the job with a 25m summer war kitty.

I wouldn't mind me getting the job with that budget that would be mental money for us. I think to keep the Kat bardi, Taylor, cooper, mowat (good if used correctly) cook, Dallas (good enough but needs help in creative department) big Dave, bridcut, wood (will get better) douk for hard away games or bench options, caraoy (like to see more before really knowing) . I do think team has potential last three games did show that but needs more. Any team carrying Murphy, with one lazy CB and one crazy CB would struggle. Think yesterday looked worse that what things really are.

No George. Depressingly the goalie and Cook ( I know ) were not amongst them . Don't think Bridcutt ( and probably Cook) will stay, and didn't include Coyle as he's not fully broken through yet, but yes I would want him to stay .
My first two are Berardi and Taylor. Then it gets harder to pick any automatic starters imo.

No oneleeds, I'm not saying they are all rubbish apart from two. What I do think though is that the rest are all ok at best ( good on their day many of them, but too inconsistent) . What we don't have, and I can't remember who was our last one - is a game changer. Someone who either has great pace and can cut through the opposition, or someone who is so tricky that it takes 3 defenders to watch him. I guess someone like we hoped Adryan was going to be. Funnily enough, and I don't think anyone has even mentioned him, I think we've missed Rudy Austin. OK, he was nothing special, but he did have that burst of pace and unpredictability that we are sadly lacking. Playing against us over the last few years is a gift to the other team because we are just so boringly predictable, and mediocre.

rudy was a power horse ok ran in a straight line but in for tackle and gave all best and as they say one always plays better with better player around i'd say solid player and the odd goal.

So we witness another gutless collapse in the middle of a game we should have walked.
I wondered why the team changed and come to the conclusion that SE is evaluating all his players in the match day situation.
If that is the case I for one would love to see his, and his management teams thoughts on certain players who are revered on here because they came through the system.
I have been waiting for such players to prove to me that they have what it takes this season and I am afraid I have been dissapointed.
Let me ask you, if we had bought Cook, Mowatt and Taylor for the kind of price we supporters put on them, would you be happy at their overall performances this season?
I would say yes to Taylor, but not the others. Both Cook and Mowatt have failed to move forward this season and if we were to be offered the big money everyone has talked about, I would take it and get in some quality experienced players to guide the next crop of goodies from the academy in the proper fashion.
Perhaps that is why I am not a footie manager!

Agree Taylor I really like cook has moments of pure class's and as potential could go all the way. I like mowat but this season has disappointed apart from few goals and maybe ten games. Main trouble for me is Bamba who is disgrace as captain he just don't care and bellichi who can be very good but is too much of a liability and will cost goals. Also only half my post come through from earlier I like douk and for me he was our best player today he works hard wins most in air or on ground and is handful. But douk is a bench option or hard away game ball holder upper not a match winner or 20 goal man. Ant is great and class but can also be anonymous so wood has come better next season and I think he will.

Se is a worry why he made changes and choices he made today make me wonder and worry for me today's choices would make me sack him and I have been behind is him. Bridcut and Murphy together at home? Changing things after 3 wins? Lack of width? Which is why mowat looks poor he is not a right winger.

I agree with most of your post BW, apart from your false hero worship of Antenucci. Yes he has class, unfortunately it's third class. I would bet that he wouldn't get in any other championship team. I rather think we may never agree on that one.
As I said earlier I think they are evaluating players to enable them to prepare their retained list for next season, hence the Murphy selection. I think he should go but therein lies the problem. I could make a case for all of the pale years going apart from one or two, but we know the club cannot do that, being as skint as a Kellingley miner. In short the players we have are well below standard for this league and the manager can only lead the horse to water, etc. Even the messiah Guardiola would have trouble making this lot into a successful side. So this manager or the new one has to find suitable recruits right throughout the team starting at No 1. We must get shut of that clown we call a goalie. It's not all about the shot stopping which people Romberg about him, it's about commanding the area, being able to catch from crosses and corners which instilling confidence it his defenders who are nervous wreck with him behind them.

I agree, said after the Brighton display bamba should never play again . He's robbing a wage, he's absolutely hopeless at best and no inspiration at all . As regards the youngsters I think they're largely overrated. Cook is hardly Scholes. Mowatt is hardly giggs and Taylor is hardly neville if you want comparisons . We should cash in in the summer before the rest of the football world wakes up and realises they're not that good . I may be being a little harsh on Taylor, perhaps he has potential to be better than neville, but you get what I mean .

It's not complete hero worship for ant, I think he is top class and last few games showed he can score regularly and score good goals and is a game winner, however yesterday showed his other side where I might of well of been playing as he didn't nothing and left douk on his own to work hard. So for me ant is 50/ 50 great when good useless when bad. I don't think the Kat can be blamed for yesterday, the defence is static and don't know if it is zonal or man marking I would keep Kat and get two new cb's as I think the problem is with them and not keeper although this part of his game ain't great, if this part was great he would not be at Leeds but juventus as he would be top top class. I think mowat looks worse than what he is due to not being used correctly, how would. Scholes of looked if played on right wing? I still think cook is best youth product since Delph and Taylor very good at this level.

Not sure if s e is thinking about options for next year or just messed up but would be happy to never see Murphy Bamba or bellichi play for us again, cooper is our best CB surely? This area needs looking at and bit more passion.

So what happened? Why did we win the other 3 and not this one? Defence, attack, moral courage? SE goes from hero to zero again - is it time for a change - again? I don't think so - yes we are peed off yes we are gutted - 1st 43 minutes everyone was happy (ish) . Let's see out the season And not bay for blood - just yet. Wise words but as the old adage goes, you don't change a winning team. got worries when I saw murphy in the starting 11. Offers nothing. Bamba struggles against attacks with pace every time. and as we know silvestri?!, if only we could bring him on for penalties and have a specialist gk for corners, his failure to command his area at set pieces was one has to say very well exploited by wagner ( come a long way since x-factor) I digress.
MC needs to spend big on players in summer and start work soon after season is over, if he wants ST holders to renew.

With the current torrent of abuse do you think he will invest? I think he is a man with an ego that needs to be massaged and a wanting to belong - I think we would make far more ground if people stop having a pop, unite behind the staff and team. I know people get mad but sometimes you have to tickle a dogs belly and feed it what it needs in order get it to behave and perform. I am a proud man and I know how I react when anyone comes at me or has a pop at my family - I certainly don't go away.

Think both cb's need hanging bell plays for himself and should of been sent off his passing and final ball is not as good as I thought and always at fault on set plays and is a mistake waiting to happen. q Bamba as captain is disgrace nit once did he lead today and is just iffy. Rest of the team is ok I think just formation and selection today was baffling to the point of if Se makes the same mistake again (plays Murphy and bridcut in same team) no width with mowat as winger I would sack him, q tinker find out try and fail but don't fail twice when it is that simple a mistake and that poor a choice.

starting a score predictions thread, and given that we haven't properly spanked anyone this season I feel today is the day. i'm going 4-1 to the mighty whites.
confidence is high, ant/ duke/ mow/ bellusci to score, . who cares who gets theirs.
nearly 30k there today I think should be a good atmosphere for a change, been a bit flat last few home games.

Yes will be there and I'm guessing a crowd of 29350 ( son and I always play guess the crowd/ score at around 1.30 to make it fair, well he is 12 so doesn't have the advance info on the crowd but I did tell him it was going to be big) .

Hudd are a funny team, seem to create a lot but miss chances and very open at the back, especially away from home so I can see them scoring, I'm going for 3-1 and it may be pretty close in terms of general play but hopefully to make it 4 wins on the bounce would put us in the top 3 in terms of current form going into the break which would be an achievement for sure.

Can't see us spanking but you live in hope of a good spanking. or 2 ha ha.

Hi guys I am back. I decided to take break from the forum because the forum was very negative. But now Leeds are on a good run I think and hope everyone will be positive again. So as for Dog botheres tomorrow in there cup final in a big derby I think that with recent good form and good performances I think we should and will beat Huddersfield comfortably. 2 0 With Goals from Douk and Aunty Lucy. Saying that I have a feeling we could hammer them but that is just a feeling and realistically I think we will beat them 2 0. I would go with the same side who got that good win away at Blackburn ( With no fresh injury concerns. ) So glad to be back on the site and read the opinions of all you great people ( Well most of you! Only Kidding. ) We have to beat Huddersfield village tomorrow I have Mates who are Village fans and I will never hear the end of it after they won their Cup final. So c'mon You Whites let's hammer Hudders and take the Derby spoils and keep our slim chance of the playoffs alive. And have the best season we possibly can have. As the great Jedi Master's of Alcoholism said long ago in a Spoon's far away Up the Whites Down the Pints. MOT!
