If you take one player out of our team, the score on Sunday was 1-1. Still no answer as to, why Bellusci and not Cooper - strange. Still, as a team we were, for large spells the better side (as most of the stats confirm). The main thing still not quite there is tempo, from defense to attack. If we have Botaka and Buckley given free rein to 'go at' people, then that should come with fast moving support from midfield. MOT

Fast moving support from midfield just because we have nippy wingers? Don't think so. Mowatt is slow, Cook for the most part is holding and we all know what role Adeyemi plays. So no there is no fast breaking pace in the center of midfield which is why you have to play Antenucci as a withdrawn striker and drop Mowatt in favour of 442. Just because our wingers are quick doesn't mean rest of team can keep up with them.

Wait til next season and the missing pieces of the jigsaw in middle of park (spine) shall be acquired.

One

It's not about learning if you are referring to the players. You can't teach pace. And if you're referring to Cellino, it's about money. Pacey skillful center midfielders aren't cheap and usually play in the Premier League.

One of the problems is chances of buying a Strachan are virtually zero now. They get big offers to play in the States once they hit 35. So no Gerrard, Lampard or Terry for us who could've done wonders for us. We are going to have to be patient just like Miseraboro, Derby and now Brighton have expectations as Hull and Burnley try claw their way back on parachute money.

Think we are playing a good system and we have the players to do it. At the moment they don't understand it. If Botaka and Buckley or Dallas are pulling defenders out of position its up to Mowatt and Murphy to exploit space left and get forward and support striker, its not happening.

Sylv is dodgy at crosses, and cbs are, so Ady and Cook need to double up with full backs and stop crosses getting in not waiting in middle to see what happens. It means a lot more effort put in by everyone. Only seems to be Taylor who is playing it right at the moment. Not enough movement and passing needs to be speeded up. Defence to attack needs to be 2 or 3 passes not 5 or 6

agree with everything above, the best way to help the keeper and cb's with crosses is to stop them coming in. I do think with every game we seem to be moving the ball and turning defense into attack quicker. so I see it as work in progress rather than bad game plan (and therefor a need to sack the manager)

Mowatt needs to run at defenders and get in the box more like he was doing last year. Unfortunately I think that the fact we have strikers scoring is putting him off. Its like he is scared of getting in Wood's way and costing him a shot. Last year he did it when the strikers couldn't score for toffee so he didn't mind. Tbh Wood would probably be happy for the support up front, maybe he needs to let Mowatt know that.

good point Gummie I think it is down to management. think NR was very confident in youth and not so restrictive and gave mowatt free range almost while uwe is far more ridged and doesn't allow the same freedom.

I think it is affective mowat slightly and maybe holding the team back going forward and scoring but on the other hand it is giving the team better shape and making us bit more consistant and harder to score against. the way things are going and the team is set up reminds me a little of george grahams 1st season in charge where the ground work was set for the next few years
