Brian Mcdermott looks like his on his way. Betting companys have ceased all bets on it now as well.

Peterborough United claim they have rejected an enquiry from Championship side Leeds United for skipper Tommy Rowe.

I see this as Peterborough forcing our hand to up the game as we didn't offer what they wanted. I think we can offered him and that's why he has come out saying the bid must be higher. The player wants out and the team want to make as much as they can for him. I would not be shocked to see him in a leeds shirt next season.

A blogger has questioned Morrision's ability for next season and I am for one am confidant he can produce. The season before last Crystal Palaces Glenn Murray attacking prowess was not something to shout about. Scoring 7 goals in 43 matches for the eagles. Many a fan including my friend called for him to be released. But in his second season with the eagles he has scored 31 in 45 games. This shows that it can take time for a striker to bed in and I for one have confidence in Morrison's ability so let's get behind him. He can be the difference for us

Dirtyleeds1401

1.) I agree. I think he'll do well for us next year. He gave us loads of problems when he was at Millwall. If he's fit & gets a good pre season behind him he will be fine.

2.) Yes I think the same, ross and morrision will be a handful next year (providing Morrsion fits the gaffers plans and style of play). also think Austin will be a force this year after showing glimspes of greatness last year. Also I can't stand Varney think he is useless and know lots of Charlton fans who say the same but wonder if he might make me wrong next year and do well? you never know

3.) I'd much rather sign another stiker to make sure and be safe because both Morison and McCormack were poop this year and don't even deniy it. McCormack was utter s***

4.) We should definatley get a new striker, not because Steve and ross aren't up to the job but because ross is not an out and out striker and I actually prefer him in a centre attack midfield role. His movement, creativity and vision dictates the way we play so to utilise him better he should play CAM

5.) Absolutely agree Ross is better just behind the front two linking play. Personally I like Morison - Use him as the target man with another quick striker - Poleon COULD be that man. But needs to hit the ground running because they're those saying the juries out.

All this negativity around GFH is unfounded in my opinion. I haven't seen any signs that they don't know what there doing or that they have to interest in giving Mcdermott any money because the fact is none of us really no. Also McDermott has a lot to prove and coming to a club with as some people say "no ambition or focus to go promotion" would not help him getting back into the prem. There are many other Journeyman managers we could of taken but we chose one who shows all the signs of being a man who wants to be at the top. We may not spend loads next year. But we don't need to. We just need the right players who want to achieve something and I don't just mean a large pay check. So because with us being the 12th man we have a responsibility and if we fail then who can we blame

Dirtyleeds1401

1.) Agree, McDermott will certainly be looking to bring in Dawson and poleon to add to bryam and lees. four top Leeds academy players, this will save him millions and we will have young talented players all with pace and skill.

A guy from work just asked me this question. I feel a heavy burden on my shoulders please help me reply to this:
You're hit on the head & given a mysterious superpower - you can bring three players from your club's past to help them out now - who would you choose?

Dirtyleeds1401

1.) Mark viduka, billy bremner and Nigel Martyn

2.) Gray (Need a winger)
Giles (Need a creative CM and would tutor Chris Dawson)
Radebe (Would sort out our defence and would tutor Tom Lees)

3.) I would go for a new spine
so its -

Big Jack the lad Charlton at the back

King Billy Bremner skippering through the middle

And finally Peter Lash Lorimer for his creativity and goals up top in what would be the diouf role we have today cutting in, shooting and crossing.

4.) David Batty, Gordon Strachan and Lucas Radebe

5.) Harvey, Reaney, Cooper, Bremner Radebe, Hunter, Lorimer, Clarke, Yeboah, Giles, Gray. sorry got carried away.

6.) Bremner is a given
Radebe is a chief
Yeboah is a crowdpleaser.

7.) Tony Yeboah
Vinny Jones
Billy Bremner

A hard no nonsense midfield pairing and a great entertaining poacher to partner McCormack and we'd be laughing.

8.) Yeboah was a crowd pleaser but not that great in truth. Once defences learned to stop him shooting from distance he became a lot less effective. Legend, but he wouldn't be anywhere near my top 3. As for Batty, Strachan, Radebe, that poster must be at the younger end. We've had much better players than Strachan and Batty, great though they were.

Hard question but I think I'd go for John Charles, Allan Clarke and Billy Bremner. There's case for Eddie Gray, Johhny Giles, Lucas Radebe and Nigel Martyn.

Technically speaking David Seaman and Dennis Irwin were on our books too but were released young for not being good enough. Those two would grace any side. No doubt the less grown up on here will remind me who Irwin went on to play for, but that's their problem. Which brings me on to that other player. We might hate him but how many better footballers have played for us than Cantona?

9.) 11 Apr 2013 18:47:34
alan clarke, vinny and chris kamara at least we would have some bottle
gaz1966

10.) Billy bremner
tony currie
gordon strachan

proper

11.) Tomas Brolin (A masterclass, sorry masterchef I meant)
MIchael Ricketts (Goal machine)
Roque Junior (god he was great)

They would surely fit right in now

12.) God that geezer with John Charles must be knocking on a bit! As much as I love Radebe he's not in same class as Hunter or Woodgate.

I live in Surrey and am a member of a golf club. I went for fathers day and they had the playoff trophy on the bar. There was another gent there who I now no is martin long and he is the owner of the club and Palace he told me that Murray is out until December and he will be buying a striker very soon. Not saying that its McCormack but they are on the hunt

Its not the same transfer window though is it. We didn't sell McCormack or Byram. We spent our first million for something like 7 years.

I was nodding my head to your comments to begin with. Yes he is using this for his own gain. But he will stay. We don't have to sell him don't forget we have him for 3 years. Where you lost me was you stupid comments about his wife demanding more money. How the hell do you know that, that type of comment is what will pi** him off. Secondly know one is a GUARANTEE to score you goals so let's not put all our eggs in one basket yeah

At statement like that deserves some points as to why. I for one believe that they are the first step towards a new leeds united. We had Bates and we can't expect to befixed over night. Patience needs to be instilled into our minds because they will make us a more profitable and attractive club for the larger investors

The club have set us a target of two years to get into the prem! I want success but if we can get back our assets and build a team for the prem over the next year I think that would be better then scrapping through with what we have and not having the players to keep us up.
