Billy Sharpe signs on loan for Doncaster for the rest of the season - another missed opportunity for us (if we were interested)
1.) Yes another striker Mc dermot has let go to another lower club. What the hell is this man doing.We need a proven goal scorer a s a p . Why are nt the board doing something about this problem.
2.) Like you I have doubts that we wanted him. He has had spells at Southampton, Reading and Forest but ends up back at Donny. Obviously didn't impress at those other clubs and do we want someone who has failed at those clubs? If we want younger players like Poleon and Smith to have game time and we have the likes of Varney & Hunt as well. I am not sure Sharpe would have been much different to what we have. He hasn't shown he is at other clubs he has been with recently. "Big name" but when did he last perform well? He hasn't been playing much so not been impressing.
3.) Bet he scores a few as well.
4.) Cant blame BMD its the clowns who are running us at the moment GFH and that muppet Haigh.

Anyone think the player McD referred to that is off to the premier league could be Max Clayton? We've been linked with him in the past (admittedly on here) & story I read the other day said Villa were ready to offer a 6 figure fee for him.
1.) My gut feeling is that it's Tom Ince, as Paul is good friends with Brian and Tom is out of contract at the end of the season. I might be wrong but that's my opinion.

Birmingham have been awful but new system seems to suit us much better. Great first half, well done BMcD & the lads. Keep it up in the second half
1.) I agree mate let's warnock and byram get forward and cause some problems plus 3 cbs let Austin do what he does best distributing fantastic.

Crap game & performance, at least we won I suppose!
1.) I thought the game was good Leeds played some good football. How we did not score 3 goals first half I do not know. Mowatt looks a gem another SPEEDO
2.) I was glad for the 3 points but please BM get a player on the pitch who is willing to take on the fullback and get to the byline
3.) Yes crossing was poor

I don't think losing to a goal 6 minutes into injury time as reading is a disaster - they'll likely be up there at the end of the season. Everybody knows we're missing a couple of players to finish off the squad & BMcD has been open enough to admit this. We can't go out & simply sign the players we want at what ever cost anymore, he's doing it slowly & I personally don't have an issue with that because I can see an improvement from last year. Maybe we won't score enough goals & make the play offs this year but I trust the club to resolve this issue in jan or next summer. I'd be more worried if they hadn't identified the problem. Some will agree, some will disagree - all have our opinions, mine is don't stress too much about this season, enjoy it & be patient, more likely that next season will be the season we kick on once we've had another 12 months to pick up the players we need.
1.) Cant speak for anyone else but I won't be enjoying watching us hanging on for 1-0 wins, or hoping the opposition don't score at 0-0, were talking a quality striker.
2.) I do agree, we need a good striker but not sure where we will find one at the moment. I'd happily give Morrison another go if he's fit & we can recall him but I know others wouldn't touch him with a long pole. I think we need someone who can create things too as we aren't creating much for the strikers we do have. Again though we will have to work within the restraints.

He's been a great signing. Here's hoping we get a few more in the coming weeks.
Realise I'm probably rising to the bait here but McCarthy is a championship keeper as he plays for Reading! Highly unlikely he walks around in his kit when out & about or that Leeds conduct business deals in McDs!
One of our best defenders?! He's hardly up against much is he but even then I'm still not sure I would consider him one of our best!
Whilst White may be the only winger with pace it would be fair to say he's not much of a crosser & doesn't have much idea what to do with the ball - pace isn't everything!
I hope if he does sign he stays on his feet a little bit more than when he played for Reading! Decent player when he's vertical!

But he has signed another 3 players who rarely feature in the starting 11 so that's down to him. Also, he has given Mowatt his chance this season so I'd probably class him as one of his players.
I do agree however that his hands have been tied by the farce that is the board but so far the majority of the players he has signed haven't really covered themselves in glory & I can't say I was too disappointed to miss out on Barnes from Brighton.
According to tv one of those Italians is a midfielder so still possible west ham may fancy another striker after all "bro"
I wondered how long it would be before someone questioned if those questioning McDermott are proper fans. Believe it or not people are allowed different opinions. I personally think That despite makin some obvious mistakes so far this season, McDermott should be supported & given time - however, that doesn't make me more of a fan than those who think maybe he should go - just means we have different opinions & I can understand their arguments sometimes to be honest.
To be fair to Danny Graham didn't Blackwell play him wide when we had him?
Why do I feel that I just defeated my own argument in the last few sentences of my previous post?
