Kyle Lafferty scores again for Norn Iron. O'Neill remarks about him getting his club situation sorted out as Norwich hardly ever let him off the bench but now I know you lot know what I'm saying makes sense. His first touch against us! . Whether with Wood which would be unplayable or as cover for Wood he is clearly a great option for us. Have a look at the international highlights. MCglauhlin is at Fleetwood. Another very useful prospect for buttons. Anyone know why Lafferty didn't come in the summer?

Hopefully because the club saw that he wasn't good enough.

Correct Hess. Useful squad player if you already have him but a club like ours on way up don't buy players like Lafferty. We buy better than him.

Buying back the stadium but no players in when we are clearly short in key areas. The only explanation is that GFH are working to there own selling agenda. Promotion can't be guaranteed even with player investment. A club owning their own ground would always be a better prospect to sell. Either way things are getting better than the Bates years. The next owners will be the mega bucks outfit. The future is coming slowly into focus. Mot tomorrow boys!

1.) Our current players will be fine up til xmas, then the new stadium sponsorship deal can be used in January to push us up the table.

2.) It has nothing to do with their buying agenda, the money is coming from a sponser in return for naming rights - they couldn't use the money to improve the squad.

However in the long term it will free up cash for transfer fees/wages as we will no longer be paying £2m rent a year

3.) I'm in sydney and was listening to tv radio Leeds yesterday no probs. if televised I use wiziwig.

So that's the Red Bull deal dead in the water. Bates or His company Teak trading have been a spanner in the works and have likely ruined the Red Bull deal. He's put his greedy snout in once to often an got the chop. My big worry, he still owns ER and Ta. In which case he will still cause big trouble. Hope I'm wrong but a educated guess not a rumour.

Merv the swerv

1.) Lol not a very good educated guess at that

2.) If there was ever any interest from Red Bull, I would have thought the opposite now Bates as gone. The deal if there was one, would or will go through if they are interested and if GFH are also interested. Time will tell but whatever it will now open up other doors for investment for people to deal with us who would not whilst Bates was here.

3.) Educated you say??

Lot of post on paddy Kenny on here. Many rekon he is good enough and should be kept. He doesn't command his area. Poor on crosses. Leaves too much to the defenders. Late in games as they get weary like everyone else they can't make all the clearances. They get the blame, Paddy smells of roses. Look at the amount of points dropped to high balls late in games last season. Enough to stop us getting to the play offs. Our second string keeper is much better at commanding his area. It takes the pressure off the defence. The cup results against better opposition bear this out. Kenny should go. Promote the number 2. Wages saved on PK together with a fee for him brings in another player, RW or width which we need. Then we start to convert winning positions to wins and defeats into draws. Hello premier league. BM must see this weakness as every other championship manager has judging by the amount of crosses we face late in games. A low cost way to strengthen Leeds United still further. Mot

1.) Couldn't agree more and I do rate Ashdown but. Maybe worth investing in a young keeper who will be a regular for years to come. But your right the money to bring in a new GK could probably be used better.

To be honest we never should of let Kasper go. Not perfect by any means but very good.

2.) To the second poster, you re right we shouldn t have let Casper go, and if the fans or Casper had any say in it I m sure he d still be here now, but unfortunately we had a moneygrabber in charge then, the team was never his priority. MOT

You can't just say he cost us points because he also saved us points when we needed them so it works both ways

4.) I Think Casper Ankergren was a pretty good keeper. He couldn't catch, but his shot stopping was excellent.
how many keepers can say they kept a clean sheet at Old Trafford and against Rooney and Berbatov?
Though I think we should have snapped Alex McCarthy up when we had him on loan. I reckon we could of had him for a £1 million back then.

5.) Kenny has clearly been our best gk and there is no way he will b leaving, ashdown yes and rightly so but kenny no chance, in a way I kinda hope he goes and joins another team in this division and then your see what a great gk he is, very easy to blame loses on goalkeepers but the main reason we lost a lot was our terrible defence, peltier was shocking to start with but he ended up being 1 of our best and pearce just hasn't had a good year lees is good but people turn him to easily and white well iv no idea why he's a defender as all he does is run

6.) Etched across my mind are the many visions of Kenny flapping about under crosses and the ball in the back of our net. PK couldn't catch a cold or punch a bus ticket. Yes our defence was poor but young defenders need to have the confidence in their keeper. PK dosent give them much to be confident about. He also needs to shift that spare tyre he's carrying. Probably the reason he can't get off the ground. Mot
