So a well known reflective red top is "reporting" that MC is open to offers of ALL the first team squad.

Seems like a fire sale to me, sell the only assets left and line his own pockets. And then sell the club for £30million.

Thinking positively, he will reinvest the 20 odd million, we would get for Mowatt, Cook, Taylor and Byram, and bring some real quality in, a quality coach, buy Thorpe Arch back and push for the premiership after christmas. When we get promoted we buy back Elland Road.

Seems like a freak show to me. Somebody should be hung drawn and quartered for letting the idiot take over in the first place.

2.) 03 Dec 2015 07:43:38
If it's in the gutter press then it's all true. let's wait n see what happens and see if the club make an official announcement in response - I for one hope it's just rubbish but if it's been fabricated to divide and undermine us - it's working!

3.) 03 Dec 2015 08:11:34
D s - I know it a while ago and perhaps my minds not what it was but wasn't the sale of Mccormackbadgekisseriloveleeds supposed to buy the ground. Though there was no mention of selling players to buy the ground when Massimo Pinocchio Cellino was trying to buy the club and get the fans on side against GFH.
There not a hope in hell that any money made from players sales will be invested in the squad or the ground.
Note to Cellino - I really hope you are going to prove me wrong but I not holding my breath.

We were rumoured to have wanted Tony Watt from Charlrton, anybody know why we didn't get him?

Was it a loan to buy scenario, where our valuation didn't meet theirs? Would have been a decent addition as he has pace and strength and would probably fit in.

Bridcutt deal finally going through, but I hope this is in addition to a GK and LB as we really do need the cover.

We are over prescribed in the CM position and feel this was an uneccessary priority. Still short upfront, but we still have the Douk and Erwin I guess.

Didn't he join someone else?

The one thing I love about canging managers is the transfer rumours that come with it.

Richard Wright and Matt Derbyshire linked. can't wait for all the other rumours.

cannt help but think that 3 points is essential against brighton. It will be a tough game, but the team really needs to pull this result out. Just looking at the table, scares me a little as i woiuld want to stay within 2 fixtures of the playoffs rather than letting the gapo increase. A draw will not be good enough, so heres to hoping.

i think it is important we stay with the lead group and i believe that when uwe says we will be in top 10 he means near the end of the season there is at least an outside chance of a playoff place. A goal early on would bring confidence from our players and even our defence who must feel the pressure of not scoring as them having to be picture perfect to get at least 1 point. If we score early we'll win i think i feel both teams will score though.

Watching the match today a few things became clearer.

1. From a footballing point of view we are looking significantly better than last season, playing some decent stuff.

2. We do not have the depth in the squad to be able to rotate players or even bring in players when needed. Its quite clear that although we have a good 11, we are still short all over. Another striker is needed, Buckley is coming so the winger situation is sorted. We need better cover at the back, and a left back to take the pressure off Taylor and to have proper cover.

3. Botaka looked scared to take people on, but this should get better.

4. Doukara isn't a decent option off the bench.

5. Erwin has no chance of playing, seeing as he didn't even make the bench, with Wood injured.

6. When Bellusci is playing badly, he makes everyone else just as bad.

7. Silvestre needs "a rest".

8. Antenucci is not a starter. He is our option off the bench. Although he did really well today.

9. We are own worst enemiy.

d.s.

1.) 27 Sep 2015 20:50:35
1, Agreed, if that is the best Middlesborough can come up with then we don't have anything to worry about?

2. We do have depth in the squad but we don't use it!

3. Botaka had a good debut, hopefully lots more like that to come, don't knock him!

4. Doukara isn't a decent option, full stop. Why do we still have him?

5. Who is Erwin? Just kidding but why buy him and then not use him?

6. Bellusci? Best goal I have seen from a Leeds player in a long time - DOW!!!

7. Silvestri is getting better by the game in my opinion, Nugent actually handled the ball in the area if you look closely and the defenders seem to be all over the place. He had Bellusci's goal covered, but not sure if he actually called for the ball or not, and the third goal was certainly not his fault?

8. Antenucci IS a starter and deserves to be there, he can pull a ball down out of the air and turn on it, why waste three quarters of a game without that sort of talent?

9. Our own worst enemy? You are kidding, that team today kept on at Middlesborough for the whole 90 (plus) minutes, although I could agree with you seeing as how we apparently had more shots at Silvestri than Middlesborough managed?

Looking ahead to the weekend and reading a recent article on Roofe. I think its time to put him upfront with one of the big men.

Hernandez and Mowatt on the wings. With Sacko and Dallas covering.

The rest is pretty much as everyone else will probably say. But my main concern is the 2 up top and absence of goals. Roofe can be the striker we all expected to sign in the dying hours of the window I just think Monk needs to have faith in himself and him to put him there.

d.s.

1.) 08 Sep 2016 20:15:05
Agree with Roofe up front with Ant.
Midfield, Bridcutt is a must.

2.) 08 Sep 2016 22:08:05
Hernandez and Mowatt are out of position on the wings and virtually ineffective so that is a no from me. Mowatt has done nothing in 12 months to justify his place possibly because he is continually played out of position. Hernandez should be behind the front 2 in a free role if he plays. Dallas and Sacko first choice and Roofe with Ant.

Just checked out this Jansson chap on Fifa. He doesn't look half bad.

If he completes, with Bridcutt confirmed, we finally have a decent spin.

Shame MC couldn't pull his finger out 4 games ago.

So just to start the let's buy this / that player in the wake of the home nations euro performances

Robson Kanu - worth a punt? I think so, especially if we can get a hold of that Roofy chap for 2mil. Decent pairing.

Oh Dallas' value is going right up.

d.s.

1.) 16 Jun 2016 21:26:43
robson kanu good player at our level but think few teams will fancy him.

2.) 16 Jun 2016 21:41:05
Will do now. The perks of going to the euros as a free agent.

3.) 17 Jun 2016 10:21:19
Kanu on a free is worth a punt.

4.) 17 Jun 2016 21:51:12
That sounds like the first line of a limerick BIGE. I dread to think what the last line is! 😁.

Not one to dwell on the past and talk much about past players but I was just curious.

If we wanted (which I am sure most of us wouldn't including MC) how much do you reckon Tom Lees would cost us to bring back to the club.

I also see Anthony Stokes has been or is going to be realesed. weren't we courting him last season. At 27 maybe a decent option.

1.) 10 Jun 2016 13:33:19
To bring tom back to Leeds?

Probably the same amount Wednesday
Payed him in wages.

I think no to both of them players
Personally. Mot.

Just a quick note on Stevos contract.

I understand the issue he has with MC being a little spineless and not confirming the plan for next honesty.
But in all honesty, in all working walks of life, if your contract is coming to an end, you plan for the future.
I would be applying for other work to at least make sure I have a job.

MC is a knob we all know that, but he hasn't renewed the contract. stop harping on about being sacked.

I would have given him another year, but someone pointed out below 38% win rate. That isn't going to get you anywhere where you want to be.

d.s.

1.) 27 May 2016 11:22:58
Agree. Hate men behaving like boys. Jeez it's a job. Get another. If he'd won fa cup or had 70% win ratio then he'd have a case. Shame but move on stevie boy. Mans game.

2.) 27 May 2016 14:18:11
I agree Evans can't moan he knew the date on contract. He should have signed till end of season.

Its quite clear he has seen what has happened with Bridcutt and is desperate for game time.

Frankly speaking I would rather give opportunities to Erwin and McKay. and try and bring wood back into play.

I think "worth" in football is irrelevant. He is worth what fBolton will accept.

With regards to how good he is, is he any better than Phillips, Dawson or any other youngster we have in the side. I don't think so. So pass please.

Fee to be 15 million, with Leeds to give back 11.25 mill in 12 monthly installments. 10% of any resale there after and £500k when makes 10 international appearances. a further million if he features in goal.

Thats what I heard from the chap who buys his newspaper from the same corner shop Martinez's dog walker goes to.

Not the point I am trying to make.

But if we lose Cooper and Taylor, we have just buggered up our defence.

Agree too. With the addition of Jansson, that gives us 3 solid CBs and Bamba. We just need to bring through a youth player and 5 should be enough for the season. Although, I would love it if we got Luke Moore.

Upfront, I think we should use Roofe, in addition to Douks as alternatives options and as cover for Woody and Antonnson.

It seems that the 4-4-2 is going to be the way forward with e 4-2-3-1 fall back. For the first time in ages I feel we have a balanced squad, although more cover wouldn't go amiss.

Would be a fantastic signing and a player that would suit Monksy style. Just hope MC doesn't stuff it up by asking him to take a 90% pay cut and offering 50k.

Also, Monksy is after a british goalie, anyone know or about the NIR chap. Did I hear correct he was unattached on one of the games.

Pound signs are a ringing in MCs ears. Or Euros, or Lira.
