I keep reading about "reaching the play-offs" as if its some guaranteed achievement of success. No its not. Its a guarantee to play in a mini competition of four clubs. That's all.
Success comes if you actually win that competition. And that means being better than those three other clubs. that's where reality sets in: are we better?
Based on our present performance, no. And that's despite the Leicester result. We can't score. Simples.
1.) Rubbish. you only have to look at when leeds got to the league 1 playoffs when doncaster beat us to see that we made a boat load of cash due to the play off ticket and tv revenue. IF we got into the playoffs we'd make some good money, especially if we got to the final (regardless of actually winning it)
2.) Must admit I have a bit more confidence in the team based on their last four games, but unfortunately I also feel we have left it too late to even reach the playoffs.
If we do manage to get there, though, I'd put money on Leeds winning!
3.) My thoughts exactly. I think we are looking hard to beat at present and would fancy our chances home and away against any other team but I think it's maybe a bit too late. However, a result at Palace and after that there's 4 very winable games, so you never know!
4.) Original poster here. My definition of success is getting into the Prem. Nothing less. Earning dosh is not my idea of success under the present regime.
