Apparently the 3 that were interviewed today are Dave Hockaday, Gary McAllister and Chris Hughton. I don't have a contact/source but just looking at the betting, Cellino obviously wasn't impressed by them. The odds for all 3 have drifted massively and Eamonn Dolan is currently favourite, with his odds shortening considerably to nearly odds on. He's currently the head of Reading's academy.
Am I mad to think that we should be able to attract a top manager/coach?!
Is the problem the fact that Cellino stated the job is coach and not manager? Is it putting people off the job?
If Dolan gets it he could prove me wrong but I just think the club is deserving of a top manager that has been proven at championship/premier league level

{Ed013's Note - Chris Hughton wasn't one of the 3 mate}

1.) Everyone keeps going on about the club deserves a top manager. MC states its a coach we are after.

Also why do people think we need a top manager. Great support I know guys but we have been in mediocrity for 10yrs if you were a top manager would you want us?

2.) Howard wilkinson came from sheff wed when they were in the top league, we could get any manager we choose if we have the money, for me it would be simon grayson I believe he has unfinished business did lose his way a bit, but leeds through and through

3.) No managers! Listen please. Only coaches. Stop thinking orthodox think MC

Hi mate spill what beans you have heard who are the interviewees! As I think all the names being mentioned may possibly be some correct / bit of a smokescreen I also think there may be a outsider thrown in that may surprise us all that's not mentioned!
Thanks bud!

{Ed013's Note - There have been more than 3 people interviewed with the job, but the 3 English (British) he speaks about was Hockaday, Gary Mac and Gibbs. I still feel that he will surprise us with someone else}

5.) I, like you ed, think he's got someone else that nobody has thought of yet too maybe link him with one of the others mentioned as a team I'd go for Gibbs because he ain't been shown the door yet? And it seems the players liked Gibbs too!

I'm starting to think he's going to surprise us too. Like I said I don't have a source/contact in the club, I'm just a fan in Ireland. I got the three names from a friend who works as an analyst in paddy power. He told me there was a considerable run of bets for those three names and they had other info to make Gary Mac favourite for the job over the weekend.
There's a good bit of money for Eamonn Dolan yesterday and today though and I see there's a post from someone saying it's definitely going to be him

Dave Hockaday is favourite for the job?!?
Is somebody taking the piss in the bookies?!?!
He achieved NOTHING with Forest Green. In fact he got relegated with them and the only reason they didn't go down is because Salibury were in financial trouble
Has to be Zola for me

1.) I've coached kids for 7years in boston lincs 2promotions and 1relegation and a cup semi final I reckon imin for a outside bet

2.) Hi Boston White, did you ever play in the local leagues? I played in the Boston Sunday league for many years. Could have turned pro if it wasn't for my lack of pace, vision and ability.

MM

3.) Micks nickname in the Boston league was!!!!

Yeh you guessed it the BOSTON STRANGLER lol

4.) Haha not far off Andy. I would be interested to hear some Sunday league stories from other lads on here. We played in some dives back in the day and used to get away with a lot. But sadly not strangling!

Kieran Westwood has left Sunderland after not being offered a new deal. He's available on a free and I think would be a good signing
He's better than Kenny anyway

I'm sorry, but like people have said, this is a FOOTBALL club and politics should be left out of it. It is his own personal decision to wear a poppy or not. I don't care as long as he plays his heart out for the club and does his talking on the pitch.
Before jumping to conclusions about disrespect, you imagine being told that you have to wear something that honours an army that terrorised your country for 800 years, especially when he grew up in one of the worst affected places in the country by the troubles.
His choice, he's a football player and I personally think he would be a decent signing. He works hard and would give us something we don't have
