So a mate of mine reckons he was talking to Massimo at a taxi rank in Leeds on Saturday.

This is what I managed to get from him: He said the next manager would not be Italian. he said that he likes Festa, he is a funny man, but not a good man, and that he basically said Zola is a something that rhymes with sick. Finally he said that he wanted a British manager (something I think he's said before) and that it would be someone we didn't expect.

I've no reason to doubt him, but it still doesn't give us much to go on.

He only landed back last night .
I think this is a wind up again

He has stated he does not want a manager, so its strange he's changed his mind,? coach,,,,,

3.) Just hope he doesn't know ken Dodd

4.) We are not going to have a manager. We are going to have a coach

5.) How bout brightons, just sacked manage? dunno his name?

6.) Sorry, yeah, I said manager when I meant coach. Good spot.

I'm not saying what was said is necessarily FACT, just that a friend of mine, who has no reason to lie, says he saw him and talked to him. Not entirely unrealistic when you think that he pretty much talks to anyone who'll listen, and is regularly seen around the place in Leeds.

Of course if he was out of the country at that time, then it is impossible that he had this discussion, and he must've talked to an imposter. or made it up.

Oh, and I looked back over what my mate had said, and I was wrong, he didn't say he wanted British, he said it wouldn't be an Italian.

7.) Also, I don't exactly comment on here often with rumours. In fact I don't really do it at all. Its no wind up Survivor, just what I've been told.

(and relayed in a poor way - using the term manager when I should have used Coach.)

What some of you seem to be forgetting, when you criticise his team choices, is that the majority of players we have signed are not regulars in a team. They are reserve players getting used to a demanding league. So yeah, playing Austin and/or Murphy is a safe option if they are fitter, and putting the work in on the training ground whilst the other players get up to scratch.

It was always going to be a slow burner this season, whoever was in charge, and as much as I think it was right to move on from Hock, I'm not convinced he was given time to show what he or the players could do.

15 new signings is a lot to bring into an established group and expect instant results from. They need to bond, and they need to get used to the club, the league, the fans, their team mates. Patience is key this season, it has to be because it si unlikely that we're going to turn up on Saturday and suddenly be promotion material - and if we do, then Redders is a genius!

There's definitely talent in the club now, and it needs nurturing and that takes time. Most likely we would've seen improvements over the coming weeks if Hock had stayed, but he hasn't, so we'll never know.

To me, the biggest worry about this is that once he is the manager, there is no going back.

He's working wonders with the reserves and academy, do we really want to lose such an asset to the club by giving him the managerial position on a whim?

2 seasons ago, I'd've quite happily let Ross go and replaced him with Sharp and expected to make a loss out of it.

If we pull this off, it's a brilliant move!

I still reckon Smith can do a job for us. I mean, yeah, we need a striker, but let's not write off the ones we have just yet. He's hungry, he's no longer under RM's shadow and with the right kind of feeding into the area, he could be formidable.

Damn you Cellino, for buying our club, clearning it's debt, getting above the odds for our captain and striker, letting all the deadwood go, planning to get us back into the Premiership, reducing our overheads, bringing in new promising talent, giving a load of our youth players their first contracts, working our players hard, instilling togetherness and a team spirit at our club, threatening to buy back our stadium.

Yes.

Damn you to hell.
