Swadlad will be pleased! I'm undecided on Howson coming back, but then I look at the times we have had success we have always had a midfield general like, Batty, Speedo, Vinny, Mac, and a few others so he does fit into that category but how long can he realistically go on for in that position as it is a demanding slot, it's a difficult one for me. Also we are flooded in that position and I would put that sort of money towards a partner for Wood. Radz seems to be holding all the cards really close to his chest and even the YEP is repeating itself on rumours so who knows! What do you think George?

We need a batty vinny type and a mcallister. Howson neither. Vierra. Phillips. New guy. Plus benchers like hern. Maybe dallas. Douk all acceptable. don't need hoeson.

I can guarantee howson will choose boro over Leeds anyway, he left for a reason n that was to move to a team in a better position so boro will be his choice

MW67 I think chasing Howson makes sense because you can buy all the good players from abroad but what's missing is knowing what it means to play for Leeds in front of Leeds fans. Otherwise known as the fire in the belly factor. Howson as ex-Leeds born bred in Morley could provide that and help all the new recruits in this respect. So it's a pretty good strategy by AR. It should come as no surprise therefore that the snake wants to prevent that. That said paying 5m is too much. I wouldn't want to pay much more than 3.5m for Howson.

Howson never played like he had a fire in his belly. He went missing for huge chunks of games. Popped up with some goals and assists but was completely anonymous for 70 minutes a game. I swear, some of you either have a dismally short memory or just don't understand the game you're watching.

I think we all know the game we are watching CityWhite it's just some people see players different ways, personally I think no because he's not better than what we have and I'd rather money like that was paid for a partner for Wood, but I also understand what some other people are saying, it's like the rumour on newsnow. co. uk about Snodgrass coming back, I really don't know and they do say never go back don't they! I think best waiting before judging and criticising but for me I'd rather have new additions instead of old.

The only thing we can say regarding Howson is that he knows this league, it looks that is if the transfer goes thru that we are signing attacking /creative midfielders which we do need and if what I read about are new coach is correct he likes to attack other sides . I for one became really frustrated with the way we were passing the ball about to are defence and gk, Bridcutt who was excellent when on loan looked out of sorts towards the end of are season . The question is was he instructed to play that way, and was this the cause of the alleged row between pilot and monk . Every one starts with a clean slate for me and I'm sure we will debate this as are season unfolds .

I'd have snodgrass back in a heartbeat! Howson i'm on the fence but it's all a positive sign of the new era! It's actually pretty lush to be associated with quality rumours as a leeds fan! Let's all be a bit cheerier!

City. JH did go missing sometimes but we learned he did much better in a 5 man midfield. Doesn't mean he don't know what it means to play with desire. I recall several moments of class and desire from him. He's also a better player with some PL experience now. I'd buy but not for more than 3.75m.
