For all those who weren't that bothered with an FA Cup run how do you feel now we've missed out on a bumper home draw against Spurs? Personally, I'm gutted.

Whiteman15 So I take it that you don't want us to get promoted at the end of the season for the same reasons then?

I can see where Whiteman is coming from 2 Sheds, Spurs would of just used us as a practice match given how we played on Sunday, and good on Newport, they deserve it because they wanted it more than us! So on our showing on Sunday how would you think we would be in The Premiership? Apart from Pontus, Beradi, Ayling, Cooper and Vierra, who else would you have faith in to perform well in the Premiership?, at the moment I personally think we would be coming straight back down! Going by our latest debacle we have a long long way to go! No 2/3 or even four signings are going to make us a Prem team, we need at least six quality players, Siaz and Alioski will probably suit the Premiership better with their flare but after that we need strength, and sadly that’s what we lack now so for me I’m with Whiteman and Mezzer on this. I’ve said this before on here but read Whitemans early season posts, a lot on here including me thought he was off his head with negative comments, but I take my hat off to him because he was absolutely spot on, he saw a lot more than some of us did and what he posted was 100% correct! Think back to Feb 3rd 2010.after a creditable draw at White Hart Lane, we got Spurs back to ER in an FA Cup 4th round replay. Over 37k there that night including me and my youngest and it was rocking. Becchio equalises on the stroke of half time but we go out to a Defoe hat trick (Bale was also playing). Nights like that remain with you forever.

Absolutely 2 Sheds, I was there the day we beat Man Utd on their soil, Beckford scores, what a goal, hanging on for the final whistle seemed an eternity but that feeling lasted weeks, I actually bought all the papers next day and cut every report out and framed them, I had pics in my office, garage, work office, and anywhere else I could think of! It was one way to keep my manager out of my office as he was a Scum fan! MOT

{Ed0333's Note - happy days mike. Sweet memories hey mate.

2 sheds, yes including me, this team would not cut it against spurs today I don’t see how you can think that we would, just because I think the players we bought in are not up to the job, and TC is a weak manager who only needed 4 or 5 addition to last season team not 16 and I don’t say what you like doesn’t make me any less a Leeds fan then you, but I think a better fan as I can see what you can’t .

Very much so Ed, I have that memory along with Tony Yeboah’s goal on the volley against Liverpool with James in goal, fantastic! I still get that feeling in the back of my neck when I watch it back! You blink and where have those years gone!

Whiteman15.
" this team would not cut it against spurs today I don’t see how you can think that we would". read my post again mate because I don't see where I intimated that we would. Win, lose or draw I just wanted the fans to have a chance of a money spinning home tie against a possible Spurs second string infront of a rocking ER crowd, that's all. If you don't fancy that there's something wrong surely? My original post queried the empathy surrounding the FA Cup which I don't understand, it certainly seems as though the magic has gone which is sad!

I still think we should keep faith with the Radz xyear plan. We have waited this year and as Mr Logan says "whats another year" Let's consolidate this year and give it a damn good go next season. Of course if by some chance we go up this year then that's a bonus too good to turn down.
