leeds are linked with charlie adams (stoke), joey barton and matt philips (QPR) and jason shackel (burnley). good players but not too sure if we could afford them.

rumour has it that leeds could be interested in Jamie ward from derby county who are ready to let him go for nothing despite another year left on his contract. Any thoughts on that if it does/will happen?

I did wonder how long it would be before someone told us he wasn't good enough for Leeds & didn't have to wait long. On the couple of occasions I've seen him he's looked a good player so I'd be happy to give him a go.
I realise some fans still think we can go out & buy the best players available but I can't see it myself - we're going to be signing players who are out of favour at their current club.

new boss to be announced at 3pm looks like the end of redfern, i'm guttered but cellino could be thinking fresh start for the season, bit pointless I think.

Rosler made comments a few months ago about Redders being perfect for the job at the club. I do believe if this was any normal situation Rosler would have a word with Redders and ask him to stay on as assistant, however with MC in charge and the fact that no-one but MC has any clought and with the way Redders has been treated there is little or no chance he will stay on.
That or MC has had a word and lined him up as assistant.
Another point, normally when a new coach / manager are appointed, talks of backroom staff start. But in all the appointments MC has made no back room staff have been discussed. Fortifies the fact that MC runs a tight and bare minimum ship.

nigel adkins linked with leeds. I personally think redfern should stay as he knows the youth squad, but also think adkins should be part of his backroom staff. I could be wrong but its my thinking lol.

I'm with Ausman. I'm not going to be so harsh, as I think Redders and Thompson steadied the ship, but the football wasn't great. We basically packed out the midfield and tried to snuff out the game. When we went a goal down Redders didn't have the knowhow to change things. I'd like him to stay in some capacity, but if he did stay in charge the best we could hope for is mid table security.

I did say it was my own opinion I might get some things wrong but yeah we probs do need another striker but then think about the academy players.
