Realistically Chris we have to expect this. Maybe offering an acceptable amount might get the deal done quicker. Or get better at selling the deal to the player. Potentially always going to be competing against euro bound teams as there are so many these days.

Our problem is we always offer under the asking price and I fully understand that, but when it is a player we really need and is likely to attract multiple clubs, then give them the price and get it done, obviously unless the price is over inflated. We will loose several decent players by trying to save a million, I know we have limited funds but same as all promoted teams we will struggle to attract and loose out to established teams. The last thing we need is to be forced into buying cheap because buy cheap you get cheap.

Would like to see this one get over the line but reckon that his head will be turned by a club in European Football. If that’s the case good luck to him and he’s missed his chance of getting on board at the start of the journey and he’s got no chance of catching the train once it’s left the station.
