A meeting was held yesterday between Leeds United and Bilal El Khannouss camp, during which #LUFC made clear they are willing to pay the £24.5M release clause.
{Ed001's Note - if you are willing to pay this much for such a poor player, then you should be willing to pay a lot more for quality like Elliott.}

? Ed I watched Elliott in under 21s closely he looked great during which I thought he's trying modle himself of mo sala.
{Ed001's Note - I love Elliott, I am gutted he picked up and injury just before last season kicked off. He was flying and central to Slot's set up and then came back to a team that was steamrolling everyone so couldn't get a break. He is far from perfect, but as a creative player there are very few with his vision around.}

Id take Elliot in a heartbeat.
Skilled, 100% player, the type of all action that our fans would love.
Any idea what Pool are asking for him?
{Ed001's Note - that depends on the deal offered. Liverpool would like a buy back clause or sell on percentage, so that would lower the price significantly with either or both. You are looking at around £40m mark though, again though, you can offer more up front to get a better price. There are always ways of bringing the overall purchase price down.}

Elliott would be the missing link for me and in my humble opinion well worth paying top wack.

Apparently just agent talk to get Palace to sign El Khannouss faster.

Elliot would be perfect wouldn't he?!
Chuck the kitchen sink at getting him, then play Willy or Joel as false 9's and Lukas off the bench!
We can dream eh?!
MOT.

Don't want Khannouss 3 goals in 32 prem games no better than Matteo.

He’s got lovely hair too has Elliott. Under rated nowadays! Let’s not forget prime Keegan, or Jason lee.

Elliot is very good and would do lots to improve the team although I think it's unlikely we'd get him even if we offered the asking price.
However, if he did come then I wouldn't be worried about any buy back clauses in the contract. This season is all about staying up and laying a base for the following seasons. If we stay up and Liverpool want him back at a profit to us then it's job done.
We did well in the first season back last time but lost our way. This coming season won't be as easy but so long as we stay up I think it will be a success and give us something to build on.

Nice one lads but surely you re saying Elliot class, and that but would you give 40 million for a unproven player in the premiership, I think no he s not fit enough to play in Leeds team, if you ve watched him play he comes on as sub for Liverpool for last 15. 20 minutes and that’s it but when he plays for England he starts games but then they not at the same pace or level as premiership, and the other thing is he is playing against kids not professional teams, and also looks absolutely cream crackered when the game finishes.
{Ed001's Note - if you'd watched him play, you would know he was a regular starter under Klopp playing a much higher intensity game. His issue is injuries not fitness.}

I like Elliot but for the position he plays and the team he is in he hardly ever scores.
Maybe if he was a regular starter that might change but no way am I paying over 40 mill for him with his injury record too.
Let’s be honest you’d be paying the “Liverpool tax” as they have a great record of getting top dollar for their fringe players.
20 mill with substantial add ons is more like it.
