Sorry if I have missed comment on the site, but has Milner gone to Brighton on a one year contract? If he has shouldn't we have been expressing an interest for some time, if we did, isn't it a bit of a kick in the teeth? Would have thought he would be a great asset on and off the pitch, particularly with some many players potentially leaving?

Milner still wants to play premiership football and Brighton can also offer Europe cup football. Milners so called love for Leeds United appears to not be a big enough draw.

Agree, but sad though that he doesn’t see galvanising Leeds with a quick return to the Prem would not be a bigger achievement at the end of an illustrious/ lucrative career then playing in the lesser European comp with a team like Brighton?

7 He's trying to beat Barry's appearance record. He isn't going to do that at Hillsborough and Home Park.

Aye George, 34 more needed (according to the Premier Leagues own website (some other stats sites suggest 35, having credit Barry with an additional appearance) - which would take Milly to 653 (or 654) .

It would be quite some feat, and take quite a lot of beating - the next highest player currently active is Jordan Henderson, on 431.

Good luck to Milner, it’s a story of "if only"
Milner owes nothing to Leeds, we had to sell him due to Ridsdales absurd and reckless ownership of the club.
All history now but what a fantastic player and career.
