So simple (and probably the cheaper) option. Cancel the two Cup competitions for 20/ 21 and start the season later. This would allow time for the current season to be completed. Everyone (maybe not the fans) happy. Actually the fans would be the recipients of a Free feast of football.

I see this, as going to get very nasty with players not wanting to play, Owners getting lawyers involved, no one can agree with this or that, and that’s before anything being agreed. Just a game of football!,

Yeah Whitey. I can see the EFL either bottling it or having to pick the least, worst option. Whichever way, the only winners will be the lawyers. My only hope is that if/ when a decision is made the implementation is not held up being dragged through the courts, by some owner, forever ( remember the courts also will be on lockdown? ) . The least invasive way out, at present, is the promotion of the top two, with maybe a third decided by playoffs, and to play with inflated Divisions next year. With again no Cup competitions to make room. I am sure that this suggestion has holes in it but then so do all the others. As I said, the least worst.

i agree with this, no euro's, no cups and if need be no fake winter wolrd cup in a country that should never have it in the first place. moving the winter world cup to the following summer in a more fitting country (England) would free up the calander buy more time and allow football to play the games that it set out to do.

Gonna be ppg. Guaranteed 👍.

Weighted ppg. But the method of weighting will be hugely contentious as well (particularly if a team outside of relegation / in auto promotion gets moved! )

Lawyers to football clubs are going to have a big pay day.

I am failing to understand the need to play the remaining games on neutral grounds, (in the event it becomes possible) . Why would any one be daft enough to stand out side their silent ground when they surely would prefer to watch on tv. And the few who might do that would probably travel to the neutral ground anyway. Also teams will travel 4 or 5 times with home fixtures or 9 times with neutral ground fixtures.

Also hygienically having a limited number of venues for a large number of games gives less time to do a full sanitization between games.

They have always wanted to spread the game. Why not play them abroad, in, say China?

Its the last game of the season. Leeds could go up. they are playing at ER. You can get commentary on the radio or watch it on TV on your phone. Who wouldn't go to share the moment with the fans and players? If there are enough of you outside you can be heard inside the stadium.

so under the new guidelines, no elite sport, even behind closed doors, can happen before June 1. It will be July at earliest before fans can be considered to return and even then imo it will be unlikely.
