Ed or anybody know if we put a serious bid in for Craig Noone? I think he would be a great addition to the squad. Apparently Spade does not see a future for him at the Bluebirds. MOT.

{Ed013's Note - There was interest, but I don't know if a bid was offered}

Really Really happy with the transfer business this summer. Enough in for a solid squad to build on and enough retained, so I can sell when Fifa 16 comes out.

Annoyed about Ajose, but Wootton, Doukara and probably another out.

Left back, striker and bench winger in.

What I am trying to get at is, there won't be much tinkering when the highly popular simulation game comes out, just a few tweaks. Which equates to a decent team in most eyes.

Would have loved to see some defencive cover come in but never mind, Botaka seems decent on YouTube and with Sammy B staying beradi could be used as a central cover I assume, big Sol will be suspended soon for 5 yellows, Belusci imo is a risk and forget about wotton, shame Liam Moore went to Leicester maybe we will nab him in jan!

On current form Berardi will be first name on team sheet.

Agree with Mad
Berardi is a no brainer for automatic selection the way he's playing at the moment

Got to be pleased with that transfer window. Spent £5 mill on players, when did that last happen. Kept all our young guns and strengthened were it was needed. As I mentioned before believe Byram wants promotion with Leeds. Come Jan if we are up there in play off place think he will sign, if not think every chance he will go with Everton or Liverpool favourites to get him in my opinion. Either way our club seems to be back on course. A couple of good loanees would help though.

Spot on Bige. Should be able to keep Sam and the other youngsters if we are challenging at Christmas. If not, he will be off and good luck to him. Might struggle to hold on to the others too if we are not showing realistic promotion possibilities

We did good business and we did it early doors, Dallas and Botaki are the icing on the cake. Not so long ago Mowatt, Cook, Taylor and Byram would have been out the door for a pittance. We are a totally different animal now. Sit back and surf the wave, the team is good and full of promise

yeah hoping the wizard is as good as he looks ,did believe and say Sam would go ,so pleasantly surprised to be wrong .
Love the quote "we have players who want to be here "and it sounds like the wizard is more than happy to wear are shirt.
I would have liked a cb but will wait to see if we det a decent loan in

We lost Pattinson, that's if we were ever really after him, to Huddersfield. I won't cry over that one. Bradley Johnson decent player but Derby already have better in Ince and Weimann. So have we now

Sam not going has scuppered the deals we were going to do. Moore etc. They who should not be mentioned are a absolute disgrace and should be turfed out of the champions league and deducted points.

What a load of old tripe. We got what we want and needed, kept the young guns and got wingers with an added bolt of a whinger in you ;))

Agree with you Dougie. We did some sensible business yesterday, and retained our fantastic youth, who are the future of LUFC.
Personally, I think we'll lose Byram next year, but a club shouldn't be built around one player. If he goes, all the best to him, and thanks for the service. If he stays (signs), I wish him luck too.
As transfer windows go, I'm very happy with the business we did. :-)

If he goes next year,he goes for nothing. Now we have kept him,we need to open contract negotiations with him. Even if its just a year extension. Then if he goes we will get cash. Two wingers means he goes back to his best position, which is unfortunate for Beradi who has looked solid up to now. let's hope we can get a couple of loans in once the window opens again.Still need a cb and another midfield player.

So what's wrong with offering Byram a decent amount of dosh to sign 1 or 2 yr deal. At least we get a payday rather than tribunal? Just makes sense to spend a bit to make a bit?

I thought all players were on the same basic pay structure with a performance related bonus for goals, clean sheets.

If this is true you can't make an exception for 1 player without upsetting everyone else.

If it means getting 8mill next year rather than 3-4 thru tribunal I don't see why not. Good business in my opinion
