Putting up the awning in a campsite in southern France, obviously wearing my Leeds top and two French gentlemen approach me, turns out Father and son with son translating.

Old man kept grabbing my arm and saying Viittoire vittoire apparently as a youngster he rode messages between the resistance groups and wanted to show his appreciation to Great Britain for our brave soldiers sacrifice in helping France, brought a tear to my eye to be honest with you.

Then just as they were about to leave the son said Leeds United, very good Norman Hunter Jackie Charlton!

Who says we’re not famous anymore I’m in bits here ?.

What a great story Class, I bet you are well made up mate. Football the language of the mate. Brilliant uplifting post ??.

Haha, that's class is that.

The language of the World! Bloody phone! ??.

Class post again Class. Indeed an emotional week. If only your French acquaintance had spoken to Mr Sunak, just disgusted by the man, no class, no understanding or empathy for the people he purports to represent. Enjoy your holiday mon brave.

Cheers Vid ? was also disgusted by Sunak as shallow as an ashtray in failing to recognise the sacrifices made by those brave souls so that we can enjoy our freedoms today, I’ve no time for the man or his excuses.

It turned my stomach when I heard that story Class, to think that our Prime Minister who should show by example, left early on one of the biggest days in remembrance history is an utter disgrace and he should hang his head in shame and leave his post of office with immediate effect! We as a country need strong leadership with strong morals, it’s about time our great country had a leader that was solid and totally committed to the cause, which unfortunately seems to have been missing for the last few years ??.

I agree that Sunak was totally wrong.
I do however feel that replacing him with Starmer would be akin to changing your bow tie, when you’ve shat your pants.
Aaaand that’s my political input on this site done for another year!
(I don’t come here for politics, and they’re all effing useless grave robbers, anyway. )

When it comes to politics, picking who you want in charge is like choosing which knacker you wanna trap in your zip.

Very funny Brighty and Dilli, I wish those quotes could be aired on Preston’s political show, now that would be good to see eh! lol ???.
