my local club Millwall are going to make a second offer for Matt Smith. I know a couple of people at the club and they reckon the offer is around 1.7m. Can't see mc letting smith leave for that little, apprently holloway holds little hope and is lining up zamora if he doesn't get Smith, only hope for Millwall is smith is in last year of contract so depends on if offered new deal, MOT

We need to keep him, he could score bagfuls with good service this year. Offer him a new contract, his wages won't be too high. Also, surely he is far too intelligent to go there?

probably depends on whether Cellino wants to keep him or whether he believes he can bring in better or as good for less money. I'm not sure he will be playing lots of balls into the area as we don't seem to have many wingers in the squad at present.

Interesting one. If we can get circa £2m for Matt Smith and bring in Souleymane Doukara, Keiran Agard and Cacia it gives very mobile forward line to replace Smith & RMC and £13m in bank and saving on wages? What of Morison & Hunt too?

What's wrong with Morison ir hunt bog off miiiwaww

Yes I'd see Morison & Hunt away before Matt Smith any day but that's not who they've bid for and if Daniele Cacia comes in then he will be first choice CF.

Bermondsey, what did millwall fans make of Morison last season. Do they want him back? Personally I can't see smith going, I don't think he'd want to swap leeds for millwall!

7.) 10 Jul 2014
I would like to keep him for those last minute box overloads but I can't see cellino liking his general football and to be honest I don't like it either he gave the ball away far too easily and is very immobile

Matt knight has been training with leeds recently, he was prolific for albanian premier league side Meir KA

Dont think mc will let smith go, he rates him as he is a hungry player who wants to improve

10.) 10 Jul 2014
Smith is a good plan B to have around in this division, anyone who got 13 goals in our team last year isn't doing bad.

I don't think he is on loads on money so I would keep him unless silly money is offered of course.

will get you maybe 10 - 15 goals, good back up man, better than Morrison/punt

Gareth agree completely.

Agree think we should keep smith good plan b or plan a against the right team, understand comment about lack of wingers but we had no wingers last year (in fact worse than no wingers we had kebe and stewart) and he still got 13 goals (and didn't play that much really) so think he will get better. my uncle and four best mates all have Millwall season tickets (i know but what can I do) and I went to the den about 10 times last year, think think morrision is pony and what I saw was really bad, no movement, no hunger, no first touch, no tracking back, no passing or shooting ability. I rated morrision but not on what I saw last year. They all hate him and holloway thinks the same I gather which is why zamora is plan b is smith is no go not morrision (remember he was not a holloway signing but the west ham bloke whoes name I can't remember)
