Sorry to say it but I personally think the writings on the wall.
We had to do some business early in this window and for whatever reason we always choose not to.
I’ve said it before but the mentality of a point a game for me sent a negative message from the get go, we started the season hoping to survive not thrive.
You can’t draw your way to success.

There’s now way West Ham and Forest are going down and the teams above us like Bournemouth and Palace are too good
We are going down with wolves and Burnley . I just don’t see a world in where we don’t -
Sorry.

I genuinely thought before today's game we'd give Arsenal a run for their money and could cause a shock by winning but unfortunately yet again I was as wrong as you could be. Arsenal spanked our backsides good and proper and it really showed how far we still have to go to even be a top 10 side but we can learn from this and fingers crossed with at least one new signing to come Leeds can get this thrashing out of their system ASAP starting next Friday night.

Naive to my opinion to think this season was anything other than survival.

Tony Hart earned a decent living from drawing Dave?
On a more serious note it wasn’t a shock today, the score and relative league positions are a fair reflection of where we are at this present time.
Wet Spam 2-0 to the good but Chelsea as we know can be very hit and miss, OUR league is about beating those around us wherever possible and nicking the odd point against the top teams if we can.
No disgrace to be outclassed, now outfought would be another matter, but it’s still pretty congested down the bottom, and mathematically a point every game would most likely be enough, but I get where you’re coming from Dave.
The florists game will be defining I’m sure, it’s as Amps said draw a line under it and move on as quickly as possible.
Could be worse, we could be at Aussie! s house for Sunday lunch with hiss Gooner dad.
My ex daughter (for today) is an Arsenal fan living in Edinburgh has been sending me apologies, I think they hurt more ??.

All the teams we have played twice are top half.
It's all in our hands.

Well fing is Dave, those 11 who started are pretty much the ones who have been doing the bizzo for us recently. The worrying thing is that since half time at Everton DF seems to have reverted to his weaknesses he had pre half time against Citeh.
Bad in game management, DCL isolated, late subs. The defence was awful today. With Wet Spam two up at half time, if Florists win, we arevin it big time again and next Friday is massive.

Wow, the first time we have really deserved nothing from a home game for probably a year or more, and everyone having kittens and resigned to relegation (again) . Same irrational response following the Fulham win when all of a sudden we’re qualifying for Europe!
Now, I concede that I genuinely thought we’d get something from that game; still did at 0-2 to be honest, but aside from a few moments, we were pretty poor and no one played with any form. Arsenal were worthy winners and could have really turned it on at anytime. The ref was poor, but not making excuses.
Today was never going to relegate or save us. It’s in our hands; we play everyone around us and they all play each other. Everyone can’t win everything.

Keep heart fellow supporters it’s one game which we were always going to lose still lots to play for and time to pull up Chelsea done us a great favour today.

As always Ani, it's Not the result, it's the Manner of the defeat that kills hope.

Agree OP. And all those who clamoured for Darlow, not saying much about how dire he's actually been the last few games. Today was literally a shot to nowt, against the top side in Europe right now.
Yes they had a blip, everyone does, but you don't rattle 8 straight wins in the CL, without being a top quality side. They are Champions elect for very good reason.
