Its funny that the team that put 6 past us last season, want a defender that was part of that defence. they must see some potential in him.

I only point this out as Lees has had a lot or criticism last year and everyone keeps pointing this out, however this is a team game, and all should be held accountable. Individual errors yes, fine, but somewhere along the earlier few minutes could have changed that that. Its the goalies primary job to keep the ball out, the defenders to stop the attacker and the midfielders to keep possession. Attackers score goals of course.

Any ways, ED should we start a poll as to who will be this seasons "Boo Boy" or is this a too negative discussion.

My money is on Morison ooohh, or even Hock-a-doodle-doo, Dawson maybe?

{Ed003's Note - I'm sure one will be found in a few weeks.}

At last! Why has nobody explained the jobs of players in the different positions before now - it all makes so much more sense.

Now, if only I could work out the substitutes jobs I would understand everything.

Noel Hunt is smiling ;)

Lees was subbed at 3-0 during that match.

From the looks of things Nile ranger, however he could shock us all .

Good luck Tom -a great servant who always gave 100 per cent, and was always playing in difficult circumstances. A very consistent and reliable performer until last season's 'Brian Bump.' He will come again, and I would not be surprised to see him resurface at a higher level than SWFC in the future.

Was Lees released without a fee? Stuart Gray said there was no fee and we have said undisclosed. One thing is for sure at least he will get some coaching and taught to defend at Wednesday, which he never got from McDermott. good luck to him

For the substitues job I would be saying to 5 of them, you do exactly what the guy you went on for did and the other 2, win the game for me boys (my game changers)

In all honesty Alfie, I don't quite know why I included that in the post, maybe a bit of a dim move from my part.

Or. I could be getting in early for applying for the head coaches job.

Boo boy has to be austin only successful pens will save him

Boo Boy will be hunt or Wootton

10.) 31 Jul 2014
Why do we have to have a Boo Boy. give them your support not only does it knock the confidence out of a player it effects the whole team. We have had to much of this in the past and only contributes to poor performances. Tom Lees for example confidence knock the hell out of him and now off. People slagging him off for moving what do you expect. He'll probably go on to be a top defender

It was the Boo Boys who got their way in the end! Funny how SW said that they wanted Lee's because he is a ball player and can play it out of defence, according to the boo boys he can only play Hoof ball! I for one would have preferred him to stay ahead of Wootton (who we paid £1m for). However, let's get behind the team and not single one out for abuse. As previous poster said its a team game.

The boo-boys will be Morrision and hockaday, got a video from millwall supporting mate of forest green fans ripping into hockaday which he found funny I found worrying. I have placed bet on hockaday to be replaced by carboni by feb good shout I think

I'm not sure I can take another year of Austin, Hunt & Wootton, and I'm the tolerant sort -so God help them if they start this season like they ended the last!

14.) 01 Aug 2014
Spot on jester, show some support ffs, don't need boo boys

15.) 01 Aug 2014
Have to agree re boo boys to be honest. Lees has had his confidence knocked, in part by the reaction of us fans to a young player who was not the finished product -as has White; and as did Bradley Johnson before them -and he enjoyed 3 years in the Prem on the back of the boo boys! Howson used to get stick too. Part of me hopes Lees goes on to play at a higher level -just to stick one up at those who seem to make no allowance for young, developing talents playing under bloomin difficult circumstances (and under struggling managers).

Austin has shown to be a class act at times, just needs to tackle more often and leave the Hollywood passing to Bianch ;)

Bermondsey hope that bet didn't loose you too much.

just love LUFC supports putting bets on for our team to fail. person
