Interesting watching the players meeting Jesse for the first time, very animated, genuine responses from Coops, KP, Dallas…. etc…. then there was….

Firpo, who genuinely didn’t seem to have enough strength to get off his arse to say hello……Mmmmm 🤔.

I thought Firpo had turned a corner but hasn't looked good in recent games. His defending has been questionable, but maybe he isn't suited to man-marking, and maybe a new style will help his performance.

Not sure Danny, it’s as though he doesn’t care as much, which I appreciate is a harsh accusation however, losing the ball against spurs he literally stood there may no attempt to get back whilst they attacked.

Certainly has made me review my historical criticism of Alioski I accept we have missed him so much this year, although given where he is in age, nobody can deny the lad taking the most lucrative contract on offer at the time.

Firpo being too lazy to chase back was the direct cause of Man Utds 3rd goal, and probably cost us the game. That was the moment I had enough of him. Get rid.

Apparently Marsch does like to play a back 3 at times and from what I've read Firpo played his best football in that kind of formation so who knows.

Fresh start for every player I believe when a new manager comes in. Before bielsa I wanted rid of most of our team and my biggest gripe was Phillips being useless and overweight and only in our team because he was a Leeds lad. Now look at him, he’s a world beater. The only real position that doesn’t change is the keeper as regardless of tactics he still saves or doesn’t in our case with some of our most recent keepers but meslier.

Reading too much into that imo. I think is just a shy guy, and that he will come good. If he doesn’t, Davies will be back, and we can re-sign the mad Macedonian!
