Anyone explain why Farke has again put two keepers on our bench?

I appreciate it sends a message to Illan to stay sharp, but just wondering why he would do that and whether there was an outfield promising youngster (Monteiro) that might also benefit from travelling away with the first team?

Totally agree Class. It’s a very weird one for me too!
Maybe it’s to do with the team needs at whatever stage the game is at? Does one excel at distribution if we are chasing a game, while the other is a better cross taker and shot stopper? Either way, it’s moot, unless Mez gets injured or sent off….!?

Carlo Ancelotti once said “ it’s also helpful to have two goalkeepers for the warm up. Above all, when we play away this also helps us avoid problems if there is an injury to the first or second option”

So I’m assuming like bamford injured during the warm up the other day it’s so we ain’t in Plymouth with 2 keepers and then of them gets injured and we go into the game with one keeper and they target him knowing we have no keeper on the bench?

What a lot of tripe re goalies on bench.
Has Farke got a religious commune somewhere you all attend. Just weird.

Bring 3 keepers in matchday squad ( in case of last min injury) . but then naming 2 gks on bench is nonsense.

If Anthony was a late drop out then maybe there was nobody else there?
Would seem odd, but maybe.

Pretty decent and feasible explanation by LAD.
